Holographic imaging offers a reliable and fast method to capture the complete three-dimensional （3D） information of the scene from a single perspective. We review our recently proposed single-channel optical system for generating digital Fresnel holograms of 3D real-existing objects illuminated by incoherent light. In this motionless holographic technique, light is reflected, or emitted from a 3D object, propagates through a spatial light modulator （SLM）, and is recorded by a digital camera. The SLM is used as a beamsplitter of the single-channel incoherent interferometer, such that each spherical beam originated from each object point is split into two spherical beams with two different curve radii. Incoherent sum of the entire interferences between all the couples of spherical beams creates the Fresnel hologram of the observed 3D object. When this hologram is reconstructed in the computer, the 3D properties of the object are revealed.

Building on the pioneering work of Jean-Marie Andre and working in the laboratory he founded, the authors have developed a code called FT-1D to make Hartree-Fock electronic structure computations for stereoregular polymers using Ewald-type con- vergence acceleration methods. That code also takes full advantage of all line-group symmetries to calculate only the minimal set of two-electron integrals and to optimize the computation of the Fock matrix. The present communication reports a bench- mark study of the FT-1D code using polytetrafluoroethylene （pTFE） as a test case. Our results not only confirm the algorith- mic correctness of the code through agreement with other studies where they are applicable, but also show that the use of con- vergence acceleration enables accurate results to be obtained in situations where other widely-used codes （e.g., pLH and Crys- tal） fail. It is also found that full attention to the line-group symmetry of the pTFE polymer leads to an increase of between one and two orders of magnitude in the speed of computation. The new code can therefore be viewed as extending the range of electronic-structure computations for stereoregular polymers beyond the present scope of the successful and valuable code Crystal.

中国的青藏高原地区是鸟类保护的重要区域,也是许多特有种和濒危物种赖以繁衍、栖息的家园。在全球范围内,群居穴居哺乳动物的存在对生活在干旱草原生态系统中的鸟类的种群结构都有着至关重要的影响。高原鼠兔(Ochotona curzoniae)便是其中的代表物种之一,其集群筑巢的行为为青藏高原地区的许多鸟类提供了丰富的生存资源。然而,鼠兔被当地牧民视作有害物种,并被列为人工灭杀的目标物种之一,鼠兔种群的急剧下降可能对当地鸟类群落造成显著影响。本研究在甘肃盐池湾国家级自然保护区开展了鸟类群落调查,旨在研究鸟类群落结构的差异与鼠兔洞穴群存在与否的关系。为此,本研究将调查点按照鼠兔洞穴的有(群落中)无(群落外),以及鼠兔群落是否已被灭杀进行分类。综合运用非度量多维标定法(NMDS)、置换多元方差分析(pERMANOVA),以及秩和检验(Wilcoxon rank-sum tests)进行分析,结果显示,分布在鼠兔群落已被灭杀和未被灭杀的调查点的鸟类群落在结构上不存在显著差异。另一方面,本研究在“群落中”和“群落外”观测到的鸟类群落结构则存在显著的差异,且此差异具有统计学意义。在有鼠兔集群的调查点中观测到了10个物种,而只有角百灵(Eremophila alpestris)被持续观测到出现在“群落外”。有6个物种在“群落中”的物种多度显著高于“群落外”。虽然本研究结果无法证实盐池湾地区开展的鼠兔种群控制行动直接改变了当地鸟类群落的结构,但鼠兔群落的存在无疑为鸟类提供了不可或缺的生存资源。

The solutions of the Schrödinger with more general exponential screened coulomb (MGESC), Yukawa potential (Yp) and the sum of the mixed potential (MGESCY) have been presented using the parametric Nikiforov-Uvarov Method (pNUM). The bound state energy eigenvalues and the corresponding un-normalized eigenfunctions expressed in terms of hypergeometric functions were obtained. Some derived equations were used to calculate numerical values for MGESC, Yp, and MGESCY potentials for diatomic molecules with different screening parameters (α) for l = 0 and l = 1 state with V0 = 2.75 MeV and V1 = 2.075 MeV. We observed an increase in l value;the particles behave more repulsive than attractive. The numerical values for different l-states at different screening parameters for CO molecules (r = 1.21282) and NO molecule (r = 1.1508) were obtained using the bound state energy eigenvalue of the Schrodinger equation for MGESC, Yp and MGESCY potentials. potential variation with intermolecular distance (r) for some of the particles moving under the influence of MGESC, Yukawa and the mixed potential (MGESCY) were also studied. We also observed the variation of the MGESC potential with the radial distance of separation between the interacting particles (r) for different screening parameters (α) with V0 = 2.75 MeV at l = 0 and l = 1 and Yp with V1 = 2.075 MeV at l = 0 and l = 1 as purely diatomic particles in nature. The energies plotted against the principal quantum number n for different values of (α) for both CO and NO show closed resemblance even at different values of the potential depth. The energy plots of the Yp and MGESC potential for both CO and NO molecules as n→∞, and the energy E→0, shows exothermal behaviour. The energy expression for the mixed potentials V0 = 5 MeV and V1 = 10 MeV, shows that both diatomic molecules possesses similar behaviour.

Background: Diabetes mellitus is a real public health problem worldwide and is growing in developing countries. Our aim was to determine the prevalence of undiagnosed type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and to evaluate the performance of the Finnish Diabetes Risk Score (FINDRISC) questionnaire to identify type 2 diabetics in the urban population of Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. Methodology: This was a cross-sectional study among volunteers aged 18 years and older recruited systematically from November 11 to 16, 2019, in the city of Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, FINDRISC score was used. Analysis of the Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curve was used to study the diagnostic performance of FINDRISC for the identification of type 2 diabetics. The optimal threshold was determined by the sum of the highest sensitivity and specificity. Multivariate logistic regression was used to analyze the association of each variable used in the calculation of the FINDRISC score. Results: A total of 1276 individuals were included in the analyses, of which 667 (52.27%) were women. The average age was 34.16 years (SD: ±12.42). The prevalence of T2DM was 10.74%. The mean FINDRISC score was 5.85 (SD: ±4.31). The majority (58.54%) of individuals had a low risk of diabetes according to the FINDRISC score 0 - 7, while 3.61% had a score ≥ 15. The FINDRISC score showed good performance (AUC = 0.70) in identifying undiagnosed type 2 diabetics. However, the variables in the score that best predicted the likelihood of being diabetic were age (p physical activity (p = 0.004), use of antihypertensive medication (p = 0.007) and waist circumference (p ptimal cut-off score ≥ 7 was the best predictor of the likelihood of having T2DM. Conclusion: The Finnish Risk Score (FINDRISC) is a good predictor of the risk of dysglycemia in Burkina Faso. It is a score to be promoted in daily clinical practice because it is

BACKGROUND: To determine whether the prehospital use of continuous positive airway pressure(CpAp) therapy is associated with a reduced rate of endotracheal intubation in patients with an acute respiratory disorder brought to the emergency department(ED).METHODS: We reviewed medical records of patients with acute respiratory distress who had been treated with CpAp in the Mobile Intensive Care Unit(MICU) from January 2010 to December 2011. These records were compared with those of patients who received standardized care without CpAp in the MICU from January 2004 to December 2004. Categorical variables were summarized as frequencies and compared between groups using Fisher's exact test or the Chi-square test. Continuous variables were summarized as medians(interquartile range), and comparison between the groups was made using Wilcoxon's rank-sum test. The relationship between CpAp and intubation rate was determined using multivariable logistic regression analysis of propensity scores. The results were presented as odds ratio(OR), 95% confidence interval(CI), and p value for test effect. The adequacy of the model was calibrated using Hosmer and Lemeshow's goodness-of-fit test. ppatients were reviewed. Of the 215 patients treated with CpAp in the MICU, 13% were intubated after admission. In contrast, of the 570 patients who did not receive CpAp, 28% were intubated after ED admission. Unadjusted logistic regression analysis showed that patients who had been treated with CpAp were less likely to be intubated than those without CpAp treatment(OR=0.37, 95% CI, 0.24–0.57, ppropensity scores adjusted, multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that CpAp treatment was associated with a 62% reduction of intubation(OR=0.384, 95%CI, 0.25–0.60, p≤0.0001).CONCLUSIONS: In patients with acute respiratory disorder, there was a relationship between CpAp therapy and the decreased intubation ra
