The peripheral rivers of Dhaka city became highly polluted because of industrialization and urbanization to a greater extent in the last few ***,an attempt has been taken to measure 48 elements in water of the river Buriganga using the ICP-MS method for the first ***,it could be the reference values for future research in *** of the 48 elements,the following metals are given more attention because of their detrimental effects on living organisms and for discussing their aquatic chemistry in polluted water body:Be,Na,Al,Cr,Mn,Fe,Ni,Cu,Zn,Cd,Ba,Hg,Pb,Bi and *** revealed that metals’concentrations in water in the monsoon were less than that of the winter,however,Cr and Fe were found at below detection limits in the winter that is *** parameters of the river water such as pH,dissolved oxygen play vital roles for hydrolysis reactions in the stagnant water *** products of metal ions having low values of solubility products(K sp),for example,iron(III)hydroxide,chromium(III)hydroxide,phase out through precipitation *** study also detects and quantifies total concentrations of Hg and U in water of the river Buriganga for the first *** and correlation matrix results provided potential sources of the relevant *** of hydrolysis and precipitation reactions for metal ions in the polluted river water are also discussed.

具有支持细胞形态结构的卵巢子宫内膜样癌（sertoliformenclometrioid carcinomas,SECs）不常见，并经常被误认为性索间质肿瘤。我们对13例该肿瘤的病理特征和角蛋白（keratin）、上皮细胞膜抗原（EMA）、抑制素（inhibin）、雌激素受体（ER）、孕激素受体（pr）的免疫组织化学表达进行了分析。病人年龄41岁至89岁（平均年龄60岁），最常见的临床表现是单侧卵巢包块所致的腹部膨隆，其中一例病人出现了男性化。就诊时10例病人是临床I期，1例病人属于临床Ⅱ期，2例病人属于临床Ⅲ期，肿瘤由纤维间质包裹的致密的相互吻合的细胞条索和小管构成。除1例外细胞核处于I级或Ⅱ级分化。12例有典型子宫内膜样癌的区域。7例有5%至60%不等的腺纤维瘤样成分。12例做了免疫组织化学检查，10例keratin和EMA阳性，inhibin阴性，但具有inhibin阳性的灶性黄素化的间质细胞，10例ER阳性，11例pr阳性。10例I期和II期病人中6例的随访在10至120个月内（平均57个月）未见肿瘤，只有2例Ⅲ期病人分别在12月和72个月后因病情恶化而死亡，其中1例病人伴有对侧卵巢的浆液性腺癌。仔细寻找典型的子宫内膜样癌的区域，正确取材，并做免疫组织化学研究（包括EMA、keratin,inhibin）这都有助于评价伴有性索间质形态的卵巢肿瘤。不管其是否出现实性的性索样细胞增生，都应该认为SECs是分化好的子宫内膜样癌，当病变局限于卵巢时，预后良好。

Assessment of public health research output by Bangladeshi authors:A scientometric study

Powdery mildew(Pm),caused by Blumeriagraminis ***(Bgt),is one of the most important crop diseases,causing severe economic losses to wheat belts *** the present study,an iTRAQ-based quantitative proteomic technique was applied to understand the molecular mechanism involved in resistant wheat(line N9134)response to Bgt isolate *** found 394 proteins that show a significant difference,which systematically reveal the protein expressive characterization of stimulus responses to *** differentially expressed proteins(DEPs) included members of different plant defense categories and metabolic pathways,such as pathogenesis-related(pr)polypeptides,oxidative stress responsive proteins,components involved in primary metabolic *** addition,RNA sequencing(RNA-seq) data further demonstrated that these cluster genes were co-transcribed,and their mRNA abundance changes exhibited the similar trends,suggesting that the Bgt-induced proteins are partly correlated with the correspondent transcription *** enrichment analysis showed that phenylpropanoid biosynthesis,phenylalanine metabolism and photosynthesis-antenna proteins were the key pathways in response to Bgt *** 5 and the Gibbs Motif Sampler cluster 394 DEPs to eight conserved motifs,which shared leucine repeats and histidine site in the sequence ***,eight separate protein-protein interaction(PPI) networks were predicted from STRING *** summary,our findings reveal multiple levels of regulation under powdery mildew infection in *** large amounts of protein and transcript data in this study provide a powerful platform for further exploration of the molecular mechanism underlying the wheat response to Bgt.

The main objective of the study is to assess the growth and expansion of public health(PH)research works by Bangladeshi authors from various perspectives such as quantum of growth,patterns of collaboration, and productivity of authorship, among others. The present research uses a scientometric technique to examine secondary literature. Between 2000 and 2015, 871literature by Bangladeshi writers and 3,71,389 literature by worldwide authors on PH were retrieved from the Scopus database and evaluated using quantitative indicators to study growth and development from various perspectives. The highest growth in terms of the number of publications has been observed in the year 2015(133) and the lowest in 2001(10). The pr(Percent of Growth Rate) shows that 2001 was the deepest decreasing year(-38%) whereas 2002was the most increasing year(90%). During the study, RGR(Relative Growth Rate) values of Bangladeshi contributions to PH literature varied from 0.16 to 0.55, with an average of 0.27. The CC(Collaborative Coefficient) value indicates that during the research period, there was a substantial amount of collaboration among the authors. At the same time, the PPA(productivity Per Author) value(0.31) denotes that throughout the era, each Bangladeshi author produced less than half of a publication per year. The mean Activity Index(AI) during 2000-2015 was 89.14,which reflects lower activity than the world’s average in PH literature. It was also observed that research productivity in public health of Bangladesh follows Lotka’s inverse rule of author production. According to the findings, there is a strong link between public health research output in emerging and developed nations.

The incidence of dengue in Malaysia has shown an increasing trend since the year 2000. Vector control is the primary approach for dengue control in Malaysia. There is an urgent need for new or modified approaches such as the residual spraying on the outer walls that can potentially last long enough to control the Aedes population, particularly in the outbreak-prone areas. In this field study, we conducted outdoor residual spraying (ORS) using a newly formulated polymer-enhanced suspension concentrate (SC-PE) of deltamethrin. The objectives of this study were to evaluate the efficacy of ORS using deltamethrin SC-PE and its effect on wild Aedes populations and to assess its residual bio-efficacy on painted cement walls against the pyrethroid-susceptible strains of laboratory-reared Aedes mosquitoes. Three rounds of spraying in a four-month cycle were conducted between 2014 and 2015 in four residential areas (low-rise and high-rise housing types) in Hulu Langat, Selangor. The bio-efficacy of the insecticide was evaluated by assessing its impact on vector population using ovitrap surveillance. Standard WHO wall deposit bioassay was adapted to determine bio-efficacy of deltamethrin, i.e. post 30 min knockdown and post 24 h mortality after exposure. During the treatment period, we observed significant reductions in the population of Ae. albopictus in the sprayed low-rise housing in both semi-indoor and outdoor environments, while in the high-rise housing, there was also a significant decline in Ae. aegypti population in the semi-indoor environment. The evaluation of the residual bio-efficacy of deltamethrin SC-PE against laboratory-reared Aedes mosquitoes showed that the insecticide lasted longer in the high-rise housing compared to the low-rise housing with >80% mortality achieved continuously for 16 weeks. We provide initial evidence on residual efficacy of deltamethrin SC-PE in reducing Aedes population size in the low-rise and high-rise housing. Our results showed tha
