Aquaponics is a fish-plant recirculating system where nutrients received from the fish culture are absorbed by the plants for *** technology is relatively new for fish culture in Kenya,and the principles and operations remain largely untested for many fish *** study determined how stocking density affects the growth performance and water quality in a Nile tilapia-lettuce(Lactuca sativa)aquaponics *** experimental design included five replicates for each of the aquaponic systems stocked at densities of 150,300,and 450 fish/m^(3) for a rearing period of 56 *** treatment had a planting density of 16 lettuce/*** water quality parameters ranges during the rearing period were 3.83-5.35 mg/L for dissolved oxygen,7.44 to 7.6 for pH,0.014 mg/L to 0.032 mg/L for total ammonium nitrate(TAN),1.11-1.34 mg/L for nitrate,and 0.01-0.08 mg/L for nitrite,and all decreased with increasing stocking *** final weight of fingerlings was 25.2±4.2 g,32.0±3.8 g and 42.6±3.1 g for 450,300,and 150 fish/m^(3) *** growth rate(SGR)was reduced with increasing stocking density whereas food conversion ratio(FCR)increased with stocking *** systems with the lowest stocking densities performed better than 300 and 450 fish/m^(3) respectively.

Within the syncretic world view of prehistoric people, there was an inseparable link between word, song, and dance Hence it is not easy for the modern researcher to outline the border between these spheres. Using interdisciplinary methods, present paper touches the case of Armenian monodic music. Through analysis of song types （concerning labour, funeral, wedding, belief, worship, magic, mythology, epic, and dance）, music representatives, music performance places, and musical instruments, an attempt is made to consider the phenomenon within certain temporal borders. It turns out that the folk and folk-professional realistic music is simple and static in its essence and includes the invariant component of local culture, going back to the period of formation of early farming communities. Meanwhile with emerging social complexity since the Bronze Age, new and various forms of musical performance come to existence.

The maximum level of organophosphate pesticide residues in rice is 0.1 mg/kg and 0.5 mg/kg in vegetables. The control of pesticide residues in agricultural products required a method of analysis quickly and accurately. The research developed a biosensor for the detection of organophosphate pesticide residues in agricultural products. The research studied immobilized organophosphate hydrolase (OPH) mass and characterization of biosensor. The solution conductivity measurement in the conductivity cell consists of a 1 × 5 mm2 pair of electrodes screen printed carbon electrode (SPCE). The instrument is a converted local conductometer. From the results of study concluded that the optimum performance of the biosensor was obtained from the 105 μg OPH, at pH 8.5 with a response time of 45 seconds. In that condition the sensitivity of biosensor is 28.04 μS/ppm and 0.18 ppm detection limit and the maximum concentration of pesticide which can be measured is 1 ppm. Biosensors have been applied to measure pesticide residues in some vegetable samples.

Hyaluronic acid (HA) preparations have emerged as pivotal components in contemporary dentistry, gaining widespread recognition for their multifaceted roles in various biological functions. Extensive literature underscores the significance of HA in maintaining tissue water balance, fostering cell proliferation, promoting rapid cell migration, influencing cell differentiation during organism development, and facilitating tissue regeneration. Notably, HA’s interactions with cell surface receptors contribute to the viscosity of synovial fluid, activate the immune system, and enhance cartilage elasticity. Beyond these established functions, HA has also been investigated for its potential involvement in determining and studying the hormetic effects of radon water, adding a novel dimension to its applications in dental research. A thorough exploration of existing studies reveals a nuanced understanding of how HA interventions impact the outcomes of dental procedures. The comprehensive scope of these investigations allows for a more accurate assessment of the potential effectiveness of specific interventions and provides valuable insights into post-procedural prognoses for individual patients. This synthesis of literature serves as the foundation for elucidating the intricate interplay between HA, radon exposure, and their relevance in modern dental practices.

《金匮要略》以“酸甘焦苦”法指导治疗“肝病传脾”。肝有体用之分,病常见肝体阴血不足,导致肝用亢盛,乘脾犯胃,脾胃升降失常,脏腑气机随之逆乱,百病由生。故“酸甘焦苦”法以五味之用,遵从《内经》升降浮沉用药法,酸收以敛肝用、苦降以通胃腑泻肝火、甘缓以助脾运养肝血,酸味又可直补肝体,从而达到调理肝之体用、恢复脾胃升降的效果,则“五脏元真通畅,人即安和”。

Default or profit scoring credit systems?Evidence from European and US peer-to-peer lending markets

For the emerging peer-to-peer(P2P)lending markets to survive,they need to employ credit-risk management practices such that an investor base is profitable in the long ***,credit-risk management relies on credit scoring that predicts loans’probability of *** this paper,we use a profit scoring approach that is based on modeling the annualized adjusted internal rate of returns of *** validate our profit scoring models with traditional credit scoring models,we use data from a European P2P lending market,Bondora,and also a random sample of loans from the Lending Club P2P lending *** compare the out-of-sample accuracy and profitability of the credit and profit scoring models within several classes of statistical and machine learning models including the following:logistic and linear regression,lasso,ridge,elastic net,random forest,and neural *** found that our approach outperforms standard credit scoring models for Lending Club and Bondora *** specifically,as opposed to credit scoring models,returns across all loans are 24.0%(Bondora)and 15.5%(Lending Club)higher,whereas accuracy is 6.7%(Bondora)and 3.1%(Lending Club)higher for the proposed profit scoring ***,our results are not driven by manual selection as profit scoring models suggest investing in more ***,even if we consider data sampling bias,we found that the set of superior models consists almost exclusively of profit scoring ***,our results contribute to the literature by suggesting a paradigm shift in modeling credit-risk in the P2P market to prefer profit as opposed to credit-risk scoring models.
