Objective:To assess efficacy of albendazole against Ascaris(A.)lumbricoides among school-children at three sites of Rajahmundry,Sundergarh and ***:Sites were selected based on soil-transmitted helminths prevalence,different sociocultural-geographical characteristics and operational feasibility.9-12 Years old children from 14 schools were *** study was conducted in two rounds:baseline&follow up *** eligible children found positive for *** at baseline were administered supervised single tablet albendazole 400 mg under the National Deworming Day *** post-treatment follow-up survey,eligible children who provided second stool sample were included in the final *** samples were examined using WHO recommended Kato-Katz *** was estimated based on cure rate(CR)and Fecal Egg Count Reduction Rate(FECRR)among children found positive in baseline and follow-up ***:328 Out of 625(52.5%)were found positive for *** in the baseline survey and 85 out of 178 samples(47.8%)during post-treatment follow-up ***,the estimated CR was 52.2%.FECRR(95%CI)for albendazole was 72.6%(79.2%-66.0%).The FECRR was highest in East Godaveri[89.7%(96.8%-82.6%)],followed by Sundergarh[86.4%(95.3%-77.5%)]and Wayanad[69%(81.7%-56.4%)].Conclusions:Our study confirmed overall reduction in FEC although with varying albendazole efficacy for *** infection at three different locations in ***,these finding may be assessed in context of ongoing MDA under Filaria control program and further studies by in vivo as well as in vitro methods are required to reach to a conclusion on possible resistance if any.

Giant Angiomyolipoma of the Kidney Presenting as Anaemia—A Rare Presentation

Angiomyolipoma presenting with severe anaemia is a rare entity. Urgent operative intervention is warranted in such patients especially if the tumour is “Giant” i.e. greater than 10 cm and involves the whole kidney. We chronicle the case of a 35 year old lady who presented with a rapidly enlarging renal lump in the left loin associated with severe anaemia. MRI was highly suggestive of angiomyolipoma. She underwent nephrectomy in view of continuous intratumoral haemorrhage. The tumour measured 18 × 13 × 8 cm and weighed approximately 1.6 kilograms after removing blood and blood clots. The histopathology was suggestive of angiomyolipoma. Angioembolization may be considered for tumours involving a portion of the kidney, as a part of the nephron sparing approach.

Sepsis in liver failure patients:Diagnostic challenges and recent advancements

Dragonfly Inspired Nanocomposite Flapping Wing for Micro Air Vehicles

The current research is aimed towards the development of dragonfly inspired nanocomposite flapping wing for micro air vehicles(MAVs).The wing is designed by taking inspiration from the hind wing of dragonfly(Anax Parthenope Julius).Carbon nanotubes(CNTs)/polypropylene nanocomposite and low-density polyethylene are used as the wing *** nanocomposites are developed with varying CNTs'weight percentage(0%-1%)and characterized for dynamic mechanical properties,which revealed that the 0.1 weight percentage case produces highest storage modulus values throughout the frequency range(1 Hz一90 Hz).It is also observed that the storage modulus values are in the range ofYoung^modulus of veins and membrane of natural insect *** is useful to achieve true *** manufacturing technique such as photolithography is used for wing *** length,weight and average thickness of the fabricated wing are^44 mm,26.22 mg and 187 pm,*** structural dynamic properties of the fa bricated wing are obtained experimentally and computationally using DIC and ANSYS,*** developed dragonfly inspired wing showed a natural frequency of 29.4 Hz with a bending mode shape which is close to the characteristic frequency of its natural counterpart.

In the past,the main goals of Synthetic Aperture Radar(SAR)systems were the study of the interaction of electromagnetic waves with the earth ***,the development of multi-channel SAR systems has enabled the development of more sophisticated techniques for the surveillance *** is the most efficient instrument,which provides high-resolution data for wide ocean area surveillance under all weather *** intrinsic capability of this instrument is to provide a quick view of the oceanic surface features such as vessels,waves and currents,oil spills,laver facilities and wind *** ship detection or recognition is achieved in two steps:the first step is to identify the target in SAR images of a busy traffic,which corresponds to Automatic Identification System(AIS)signals by the“dead-reckoning(DR)position”,and the second step is to estimate the position,size and speed of the ship from SAR images and compare these results with the AIS“true”*** paper presents the fundamentals of SAR and its integration with the AIS data for the ship target detection.

The next step in mobile communication technology,known as 5G,is set to go live in a number of countries in the near *** wireless applica-tions have high data rates and mobility requirements,which have posed a chal-lenge to mobile communication technology researchers and designers.5G systems could beneﬁt from the Universal Filtered Multicarrier(UFMC).UFMC is an alternate waveform to orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing(OFDM),inﬁltering process is performed for a sub-band of subcarriers rather than the entire band of subcarriers Inter Carrier Interference(ICI)between neighbouring users is reduced via the sub-bandﬁltering process,which reduces out-of-band ***,the UFMC system has a high Peak-to-Average Power Ratio(PAPR),which limits its *** optimization based Selective mapping(SLM)is used in this paper to optimise the *** on the cognitive behaviour of crows,the research study suggests an innovative metaheuristic opti-mization known as Crow Search Algorithm(CSA)for SLM ***-pared to the standard UFMC,SLM-UFMC system,and SLM-UFMC with conventional metaheuristic optimization techniques,the suggested technique sig-niﬁcantly reduces *** the UFMC system,the suggested approach has a very low Bit Error Rate(BER).

Comprehensive isotopic characterization of the hydrological processes of the Indus river basin(IRB):A comparison between Upper Indus Basin(UIB)and Lower Indus Basin(LIB)

The Indus river basin(IRB)is one of the most depleted water basins globally,having significant challenges for its water *** of stable isotope composition(δ^(18)O and δ^(2)H)across IRB is a critical aspect that can provide deeper insights for investigating complex hydrological *** work analyses the spatial pattern of the isotopic signature using a comprehensive compilation of available datasets of the Global Network of Isotopes in River(GNIR)and Global Network of Isotopes in Precipitation(GNIP),along with the previously published isotopic studies in the Indus ***,this work provides a detailed comparison of the isotopic signature of the Upper Indus Basin(UIB),and Lower Indus Basin(LIB).The IRBs waterline was found to beδ^(2)H=7.89×δ^(18)O+13.51,which shows a close similarity with the Global Meteoric Water Line(GMWL),indicating the meteoric origin of the water with insignificant secondary evaporation prevailing across the *** Main Indus Channel(MIC)river water line(δ^(2)H=8.88×δ^(18)O+26.05)indicates a major contribution from the meteoric origin(precipitation/rain)of water with minimal effect of evaporation *** water line for UIB samples,(δ^(2)H=7.88×δ^(18)O+11.94)was found to be moderately higher in slope than LIB samples(δ^(2)H=7.17×δ^(18)O+7.16).However,the slopes of both UIB and LIB river water lines closely approached the slope of GMWL and were consistent with the slope of IRB water line,which indicates similarity in contribution of water *** higher slope and intercept in UIB suggest that meteoric water sources contributed to streamflow *** snow/glacier with insignificant evapotranspiration,which is also validated by the scarce vegetation cover in the ***,the lower slope and intercept in LIB suggest stream water contribution from significantly evaporated groundwater and precipitation with a complete homogenization of discharge coming from the *** substantiate that distinct isotopi

This paper proposes the mathematical model to investigate how to compute and analyze the tsunami wave parameters and the retrieval of its early warning using remote sensing technique to improve the detection *** different methods available for the evaluation of the tsunami detection systems are also *** research work is to compute and analyze the tsunami wave parameters such as Eigen functions in deep,intermediate and shallow water *** computational and algorithmic analysis of tsunami wave parameters are achieved in three steps:the first step is to calculate the earthquake fault parameters such as length,width,area and displacement from the epicenter,which corresponds to the effect of its variation with respect to the earthquake *** variation of each fault parameters have been measured and recorded out over the certain moment of magnitudes(M).This shows smaller values as compared to the earthquake magnitude M 9.5 at which all the parameters shows very large *** second step involves the measurements of water wave angular frequency in deep,intermediate and shallower region of *** values of angular frequencies in deep water shows the lesser response as compared to other two water conditions because,in deep water the angular velocity of water particles travels with the lesser speed as compared to the shallower region as per Airy’s wave *** simulation results show the angular velocity in Deep Ocean is very less,moderate in the intermediate water and very high on the coastal *** indicates the higher impact on coastal *** third step involves the simulation study of measurement of tsunami Eigen functions such as orbital velocity,acceleration,wave potential in deep,intermediate and shallower water *** simulation result shows the resultant orbital velocity and accelerations in deep,intermediate and shallow water regions provides the similar response as angular velocity due to same proportion of the
