Antimicrobial resistance(AMR)has emerged as a significant challenge in human *** treatment plants(WWTPs),acting as a link between human activities and the environment,create ideal conditions for the selection and spread of antibiotic resistance genes(ARGs)and antibioticresistant bacteria(ARB).Unfortunately,current treatment processes are ineffective in removing ARGs,resulting in the release of large quantities of ARB and ARGs into the aquatic environment through WWTP ***,in turn,leads to their dispersion and potential transmission to human through water and the food *** safeguard human and environmental health,it is crucial to comprehend the mechanisms by which WWTP effluent discharge influences the distribution and diffusion of ARGs in downstream *** this study,we examine the latest researches on the antibiotic resistome in various waterbodies that have been exposed to WWTP effluent,highlighting the key influencing ***,recommendations for future research and management strategies to control the dissemination of ARGs from WWTPs to the environment are provided,with the aim to achieve the“One Health”objective.

Carbonate deposits in the Ordovivian Majiagou Formation are significant source rocks for natural gas generation in the Ordos Basin, northwestern China. Previous studies mainly focused on the organic matter enrichment mechanism of shales rather than carbonate rocks. The biological sources and paleoenvironment of carbonate source rocks, and the main controlling factors of organic matter enrichment in the carbonate source rocks were studied in this paper in combination with evidence from biomarkers, microfossils and inorganic geochemistry analysis. The results show that four types of microfacies were identified in the Majiagou Formation, respectively as: mud flat microfacies, mud-dolomite flat microfacies, dolomite flat microfacies, and open marine microfacies. The biological sources of organic matter are chiefly planktonic algae, followed by bacteria. The mud flat and mud-dolomite flat contain a high abundance of terrigenous detrital inputs, as indicated by the high content of Al_(2)O_(3), TiO_(2), Th, and Zr. The low Sr/Cu and high Rb/Sr values reveal warm and humid paleoclimate conditions in the mud flat and mud-dolomite flat, whereas the dolomite flat and open marine were likely formed in hot and arid paleoclimate conditions. The mud flat and mud-dolomite flat deposits were characterized by high paleoproductivity of the Majiagou Formation. Low Sr/Ba values were found in the mud flat samples, indicating fresh to brackish water condition, whereas samples of other facies have a relatively high degree of salinity. Based on U_(auth), Mo_(auth), Cr_(auth), Co_(auth), δCe, and δEu values, the mud flat microfacies was formed in a suboxic and anoxic environment, whereas the mud-dolomite flat, dolomite flat and open marine microfacies were within dysoxic to oxic conditions. A model of organic matter enrichment in the Majiagou Formation is thus established. Identical-by-descent(IBD)is a fundamental genomic characteristic in population genetics and has been widely used for population history ***,limited by the nature of IBD,which could only capture the relationship between two individuals/haplotypes,existing IBD-based history inference is constrained to two *** this study,we propose a framework by leveraging IBD sharing in multipopulation and develop a method,MatrixiBD,to reconstruct recent multi-population migration ***,we employ the structured coalescent theory to precisely model the genealogical process and then estimate the IBD sharing across multiple *** our model,we establish a theoretical connection between migration history and IBD *** method is rigorously evaluated through simulations,revealing its remarkable accuracy and ***,we apply MatrixiBD to Central and South Asia in the Human Genome Diversity Project and successfully reconstruct the recent migration history of three closely related populations in South *** taking into account the IBD sharing across multiple populations simultaneously,MatrixlBD enables us to attain clearer and more comprehensive insights into the history of regions characterized by complex migration dynamics,providing a holistic perspective on intricate patterns embedded within the recent population migration history.

Modulating reversible isomerization of hydrophobic dyes in aqueous solutions is greatly desired. Here we report on reversible isomerization of solvatochromic donor-acceptor Stenhouse adducts(DASAs) in water through the confinement from dendritic oligoethylene glycols(OEGs). Dendronization of DASAs with dendritic OEGs affords them characteristic thermoresponsiveness. These dendronized DASAs spontaneously isomerize in water from hydrophobic linear state into hydrophilic cyclic state at room temperature due to the strong hydration. However, hydrophobic microenvironment through thermally dehydration and collapse of the dendritic OEGs at elevated temperatures confines hydration of the DASA moieties and mediates their interactions with the collapsed hydrophobic OEG domains, affording their isomerization recovery in water efficiently from the hydrophilic cyclic state into the hydrophobic linear state. The confinement-mediated reversible isomerization of DASA moieties in water can be repeated through alternative photo-irradiation and thermal dehydrations, exhibiting excellent fatigue resistance.

BL03HB: a Laue microdiffraction beamline for both protein crystallography and materials science at SSRF

A Laue microdiffraction beamline(BL03HB) was constructed at the Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility(SSRF).This beamline features two consecutive focusing points in two different sectors within its end station, the first dedicated to protein crystallography and the other tailored to materials science applications. Based on a superbend dipole magnet with a magnetic field of 2.29 T, a two-stage focusing design was implemented with two sets of Kirkpatrick-Baez mirrors to achieve a micro white beam as small as 4.2 μ m ×4.3 μ m at the first sector and 0.9 μ m ×1.3 μ m at the second sector in the standard beamline operation mode at SSRF. The X-ray microbeam in the two sectors can be easily switched between monochromatic and white beams by moving a four-bounce monochromator in or out of the light path, respectively. In the protein crystallography sector, white-beam Laue microdiffraction was demonstrated to successfully determine the structure of protein crystals from only a few images of diffraction data collected by a Pilatus 2 M area detector. In the materials science sector,the white-beam Laue diffraction was collected in a reflection geometry using another Pilatus 2 M area detector, which could map the microstructural distribution on the sample surface by scanning the samples. In general, the BL03HB beamline promotes the application of Laue microdiffraction in both protein crystallography and materials science. This paper presents a comprehensive overview of the BL03HB beamline, end station, and the first commission results.

P-and SV-wave dispersion and attenuation have been extensively investigated in saturated poroelastic media with aligned ***,there are few existing models that incorporate the multiple wave attenuation mechanisms from the microscopic scale to the macroscopic ***,in this work,we developed a unified model to incorporate the wave attenuation mechanisms at different scales,which includes the microscopic squirt flow between the microcracks and pores,the mesoscopic wave-induced fluid flow between fractures and background(FB-WIFF),and the macroscopic Biot's global flow and elastic scattering(ES)from the *** Tang's modified Biot's theory and the mixed-boundary conditions,we derived the exact frequency-dependent solutions of the scattering problem for a single penny-shaped fracture with oblique incident P-and *** then developed theoretical models for a set of aligned fractures and randomly oriented fractures using the Foldy *** results indicated that microcrack squirt flow considerably influences the dispersion and attenuation of P-and SV-wave *** coupling effects of microcrack squirt flow with the FB-WIFF and ES of fractures cause much higher velocity dispersion and attenuation for P waves than for SV *** oriented fractures substantially reduce the attenuation caused by the FB-WIFF and ES,particularly for the ES attenuation of SV *** a comparison with existing models in the limiting cases and previous experimental measurements,we validated our model.

Elemental doping is an effective strategy to enhance photocatalytic activity and extend the light absorption range of single-component *** this work,a series of La-doped CeO_(2) nanorods(La-CeO_(2)-x) with La content of 1 wt%-15 wt% are synthesized by a simple hydrothermal method and further used as photocatalyst for sulfamerazine(SMR) *** prepared La-CeO_(2)-x nanorods exhibit a great improvement in electron-hole pair migration and visible-light response due to the synergistic effect of abundant oxygen vacancies and heterogeneous elements(La).Consequently,La-CeO_(2)-x exhibited excellent visible-light photocatalytic performances and chemical stability for SMR degradation,the La-CeO_(2)-5 sample achieved the highest SMR degradation rate of 81%,which was 3.4 times higher than that of the original CeO_(2).Furthermore,three possible degradation pathways of SMR in La-CeO_(2) photocatalytic reactions were proposed by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry ***,density functional theory calculations were carried out to provide an in-depth understanding of the structure-performance *** its excellent properties and better photocatalytic performance,this study demonstrates that La doping in CeO_(2) is an effective way to increase oxygen vacancy and improve the photochemical properties of photocatalysts.

This study examines the microstructure,mechanical properties （with a focus on room-temperature toughness）, and oxidation resistance of Ho-doped NbDSi based in-situ composites. The base alloy consists of the coarse primary Nb5Si3phase and the Nb5Si3+Nbss （Nb solid solution） eutectic cells. Ho doping influences the solidification path. When the Ho doping is higher than0.2 at%, the alloys transform into eutectic alloys. Ho can be solid-solved in trace amounts in the Nbss phase. However, most of Ho forms a stable Ho oxide phase, which alleviates oxygen contamination problem to some ***, the interface separation between Ho oxide and other phases reduces the plastic deformation ***, with 0.4 at%Ho doping, the KQvalue is18.03 MPa·m1/2, which is 31.1%higher than that of the base alloy. The strength of the Ho-doped alloys does not deteriorate with an increase in toughness. However, the large network-like Ho2O3in the 0.8Ho alloy causes a decrease in toughness and strength. In addition, the Ho oxide phase effectively blocks the inward oxygen *** 0.8 at%Ho doping, the oxidation mass gain per unit area is 10.16 mg·cm2, which is 39.7%lower than that of the base alloy.

As one of the most important railway signaling equipment,railway point machines undertake the major task of ensuring train operation *** fault diagnosis for railway point machines becomes a hot *** the advantage of the anti-interference characteristics of vibration signals,this paper proposes an novel intelligent fault diagnosis method for railway point machines based on vibration signals.A feature extraction method combining variational mode decomposition(VMD) and multiscale fluctuation-based dispersion entropy is developed,which is verified a more effective tool for feature ***,a two-stage feature selection method based on Fisher discrimination and ReliefF is proposed,which is validated more powerful than single feature selection ***,support vector machine is utilized for fault *** comparisons show that the proposed method performs *** diagnosis accuracies of normal-reverse and reverse-normal switching processes reach 100% and 96.57% ***,it is a try to use new means for fault diagnosis on railway point machines,which can also provide references for similar fields.
