Non-Hermitian dynamics exhibits a wealth of surprising and potentially useful ***,it is typically realized by coupling a system with thermal reservoirs,which makes the system suffer from thermal fluctuations associated with the ***,we propose a dissipation-free approach to realize non-Hermitian dynamics using a superconducting circuit composed of two resonators and a superconducting *** non-Hermiticity arises in the dynamical matrix for the evolution of the two resonators in the Heisenberg picture,via a photon-number non-conserved *** energy spectrum of the non-Hermitian dynamical matrix can be retrieved by measuring the state of the two resonators,and a phase transition of the energy spectrum can be observed by varying the control *** the realization of the non-Hermitian dynamics,the dissipation of the system and the post-selection are not ***,the approach is implemented in a deterministic way,and the reservoir-induced noise is *** simulations indicate that the energy spectrum of the non-Hermitian dynamical matrix obtained via the measurement of the resonators is in accordance with the theoretical ***,we demonstrate the parity discrimination for the state of two four-level qudits as an application,exhibiting the potential of the non-Hermitian dynamics in the field of quantum *** work opens a new avenue for the realization of non-Hermitian dynamics and may have a significant implication in exploring the non-Hermitian phenomena.

In agroecosystems,plants are constantly exposed to attack from diverse herbivorous insects and microbes,and infestation with one species may change the plant defense response to other *** our investigation of the relationships among rice plants,the brown planthopper Nilaparvata lugens(Stål)and the rice blast fungus Magnaporthe oryzae,we observed a significant increase in the resistance of rice treated with rice blast to ***,as evidenced by improved plant survival rates in a small population resistance *** transcriptome data analysis revealed that the rice blast fungus can induce the expression of genes in the jasmonic acid(JA)and flavonoid *** to the flavonoid pathway,the JA pathway also contains 2 types of genes that exhibit similar and opposite trends in response to *** and rice *** these genes,the osjaz1 mutant and the osmyc2 mutant were phenotypically confirmed to positively and negatively regulate rice resistance to *** and rice blast,*** mass spectrometry and quantification experiments showed that the exogenous application of methyl jasmonate(MeJA)can induce the accumulation of eriodictyol,naringenin and quercetin,as well as the expression of OsF3H,Os4CL5 and OsCHI in the flavonoid *** suggests a close connection between the JA pathway and the flavonoid ***,OsF3'H,which negatively regulates rice resistance to *** and rice blast,did not show increased *** and molecular experiments confirmed that OsMYC2 can bind to and inhibit the expression of OsF3'H,thus revealing the mechanism of rice resistance to *** after treatment with rice *** findings will deepen our understanding of the interactions among rice,*** and rice blast.

Rechargeable aqueous zinc-ion batteries(AZIBs)exhibit appreciable potential in the domain of electrochemical energy ***,there are serious challenges for AZIBs,for instance zinc dendrite growth,hydrogen evolution reaction(HER),and corrosion side ***,we propose a surface engineering modification strategy for coating the montmorillonite(MMT)layer onto the surface of the Zn anode to tackle these issues,thereby achieving high cycling stability for rechargeable *** results reveal that the MMT layer on the surface of the Zn anode is able to provide ordered zincophilic channels for zinc ions migration,facilitating the reaction kinetics of zinc *** functional theory(DFT)calculations and water contact angle(CA)tests prove that MMT@Zn anode exhibits superior adsorption capacity for Zn^(2+)and better hydrophobicity than the bare Zn anode,thereby achieving excellent cycling ***,the MMT@Zn||MMT@Zn symmetric cell holds the stable cycling over 5600 h at 0.5 mA cm^(-2)and 0.125 m A h cm^(-2),even exceeding 1800 h long cycling under harsh conditions of 5 m A cm^(-2)and 1.25 m A h cm^(-2).The MMT@Zn||V_(2)O_(5)full cell reaches over 3000 cycles at 2 A g^(-1)with excellent rate ***,this surface engineering modification strategy for enhancing the electrochemical performance of AZIBs represents a promising application.

The Ni-ZnFe_(2)O_(4)(NixZn_(1-x)Fe_(2)O_(4),x=0.4-0.7)spinel was synthesized using Zn2+extracted from electric arc furnace dust(EAFD),nickel chloride hexahydrate,and Fe^(3+)extracted from iron scale as raw *** zinc was selectively extracted from EAFD using CaO roasting followed by NH_(4)Cl solution *** ferric ion was leached from iron scale using HCl solution as acid *** experimental results demonstrate a high level of efficiency in the extraction of zinc,with a rate of 97.5%,and the leaching rate of ferric ion is 96.89%.The composition of the leaching solution is primary zinc and iron with low calcium,which is beneficial to the preparation of spinel *** influence of Ni content(x)and calcination temperature on the synthesis and magnetic properties of NixZn_(1-x)Fe_(2)O_(4)compounds was investigated by X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy,and vibrating sample *** results revealed that both Ni content and calcination temperature significantly affect the synthesis and magnetic properties of spinel NixZn_(1-x)Fe_(2)O_(4).Under the conditions of Ni content set at x=0.6,calcination temperature of 1100℃,and a duration of 2 h,a spinel NixZn_(1-x)Fe_(2)O_(4)with high saturation magnetization(Ms=65.7 A m2 kg-1)and low coercivity(Hc=0.056 A m^(-1))was obtained.

Propane dehydrogenation （PDH） is a vital industrial process for producing propene,utilizing primarily Cr-based or Pt-based *** catalysts often suffer from challenges such as the toxicity of Cr,the high costs of noble metals like Pt,and deactivation issues due to sintering or coke formation at elevated *** introduce an exceptional Ru-based catalyst,Ru nanoparticles anchored on a nitrogendoped carbon matrix （Ru@NC）,which achieves a propane conversion rate of 32.2%and a propene selectivity of 93.1%at 550°C,with minimal coke deposition and a low deactivation rate of 0.0065 *** using techniques like TEM and XPS,along with carefully-designed controlled experiments,reveal that the notable performance of Ru@NC stems from the modified electronic state of Ru by nitrogen dopant and the microporous nature of the matrix,positioning it as a top contender among state-of-the-art PDH catalysts.

In patients with Alzheimer’s disease,gamma-glutamyl transferase 5(GGT5)expression has been observed to be downregulated in cerebrovascular endothelial ***,the functional role of GGT5 in the development of Alzheimer’s disease remains *** study aimed to explore the effect of GGT5 on cognitive function and brain pathology in an APP/PS1 mouse model of Alzheimer’s disease,as well as the underlying *** observed a significant reduction in GGT5 expression in two in vitro models of Alzheimer’s disease(Aβ_(1-42)-treated hCMEC/D3 and bEnd.3 cells),as well as in the APP/PS1 mouse ***,injection of APP/PS1 mice with an adeno-associated virus encoding GGT5 enhanced hippocampal synaptic plasticity and mitigated cognitive ***,increasing GGT5 expression in cerebrovascular endothelial cells reduced levels of both soluble and insoluble amyloid-βin the brains of APP/PS1 *** effect may be attributable to inhibition of the expression ofβ-site APP cleaving enzyme 1,which is mediated by nuclear factor-kappa *** findings demonstrate that GGT5 expression in cerebrovascular endothelial cells is inversely associated with Alzheimer’s disease pathogenesis,and that GGT5 upregulation mitigates cognitive deficits in APP/PS1 *** findings suggest that GGT5 expression in cerebrovascular endothelial cells is a potential therapeutic target and biomarker for Alzheimer’s disease.
