Most pati.nts develop neurologi. challenges i. early adulthood and cerebellar ataxi. occurs as the di.ease progresses. i. the majori.y of pati.nts, hypogonadi.m i. hypogonadotropi. but rarely hypergonadotropi.. We report a case of a 26-year-old female i. Ni.eri., wi.h hypergonadotropi. hypogonadi.m and cerebellar atrophy from a non-consangui.eous marri.ge and no fami.y hi.tory.

The trace element composi.i.ns of melts and mi.erals from hi.h-pressure experi.ents on hydrous pyroxeni.es contai.i.g K-ri.hteri.e are presented. The experi.ents used mi.tures of a thi.d each of the natural mi.erals cli.opyroxene, phlogopi.e and K-ri.hteri.e, some wi.h the addi.i.n of 5% of an accessory phase i.meni.e, ruti.e or apati.e. Although the major element composi.i.ns of melts resemble natural lamproi.es, the trace element contents of most trace elements from the three-mi.eral mi.ture are much lower than i. lamproi.es. Apati.e i. requi.ed i. the source to provi.e hi.h abundances of the rare earth elements, and ei.her ruti.e and/or i.meni.e i. requi.ed to provi.e the hi.h fi.ld strength elements Ti. Nb, Ta, Zr and Hf. Phlogopi.e controls the hi.h levels of Rb, Cs and *** abundances of trace elements i. the vari.us starti.g mi.tures vary strongly because of the use of natural mi.erals, we calculated mi.eral/melt parti.i.n coeffi.i.nts (DMi./melt) usi.g mi.eral modes and melti.g reacti.ns and present trace element patterns for di.ferent degrees of parti.l melti.g of hydrous pyroxeni.es. Rb, Cs and Ba are compati.le i. phlogopi.e and the parti.i.n coeffi.i.nt rati. phlogopi.e/K-ri.hteri.e i. hi.h for Ba (136) and Rb (12). All melts have low contents of most of the fi.st row transi.i.n elements, parti.ularly Ni.and Cu ((0.1-0.01)×pri.i.i.e mantle). Ni.kel has hi.h DMi./melt for all the major mi.erals (12 for K-ri.hteri.e, 9.2 for phlogopi.e and 5.6 for Cpx) and so behaves at least as compati.ly as i. melti.g of peri.oti.es. Fluori.e/chlori.e rati.s i. melts are hi.h and DMi./melt for fluori.e decreases i. the order apati.e (2.2) > phlogopi.e (1.5) > K-ri.hteri.e (0.87). The requi.ement for apati.e and at least one Ti.oxi.e i. the source of natural lamproi.es holds for mi.a pyroxeni.es that lack K-ri.hteri.e. The results are used to model i.otopi. agei.g i. hydrous pyroxeni.e source rocks: phlogopi.e controls Sr i.otopes, so that lamproi.es wi.h relati.ely l
