The distribution effect of electric field on the alignment and attachment of carbon nanotubes （CNTs） were investigated. The experimental results were compared with the simulation results according to three different shaped electrodes. In previous simulation, the round shaped electrodes were expected to be more effective for aligning and attaching a single CNT between two electrodes than conical or rectangular shaped electrodes. To verify the simulation results, three different shaped electrodes were introduced and a single multi-walled carbon nanotube （MWNT） was attached. The optimal conditions for aligning and attaching MWNTs such as the frequency, applied voltage and concentration of MWNTs solution were investigated. Through repeated experiments, frequency of 100 kHz-10 MHz, applied voltage of 0.3-1.3 V^s/~m, concentration of 5 ktg/mL in MWNTs solution were obtained as a possible condition range to attach MWNTs. Under these conditions, the yield of MWNTs attachment between two electrodes was up to 70%. In previous simulation, furthermore, it was verified that the size of the stable or quasi-stable region made CNTs aligned and attached on different shaped electrodes from the comparison of the experimental and simulation results. Most single MWNT attachment was accomplished on the round shaped electrodes.

The distribution of electric field for the alignment and attachment of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) was simulated. To be attached at the desired place, the aligned and attracted CNTs should be stayed in the desired area called the stable region or the quasi-stable region for an instant where the change of electric field is minimized. Since the conical electrode has the very narrow sized quasi-stable region, few CNTs can be attached. The rectangular electrodes have a wide stable region, so lots of CNTs can be attached. The results indicate that the round electrode which has a proper sized quasi-stable region is more effective for aligning and attaching a single CNT than the conical or rectangular shaped electrodes.

Dear Editor,Influenza A viruses cause pandemics at an interval of approximately 10-40 years,and pigs are regarded as a＂mixing vessel＂because they are easily infected with avian and human influenza viruses（Ito et al.,1998）.According to previous studies,H3N2,H1N2,and H1N1 subtypes o（swine influenza viruses have been detected in Korean pigs （Pascua et al., 2013; kim et al., 2014; Song et al., 2007）. Moreover, a novel H3N2 influenza virus containing the matrix （34） gene from a 2009 pandemic influenza virus was detected in Korean pigs in 2013 （Pascua et al., 2013）, an H1N2 influenza virus con- taining the internal genes from a 2009 pandemic influ- enza virus was found in Korean pigs in 2014 （kim et al., 2014）, and an H1N1 influenza virus containing all genes from the classical swine influenza viruses was isolated from Korean pigs in 2007 （Song et al., 2007）.

Comparative studies on the relationship between the welding parameters and joining efficiency in the friction welding of hybrid Al203-reinforced aluminum composites were conducted. Metal matrix composites （MMCs） with 37% （volume fraction） aluminum particle were joined by friction welding. The results show that the effects of the rotation speed on the reduction rate of particle size are greater than those of the upset pressure, and the area of the MMC weld zone decreases as the joining efficiency increases, while it is considered that the joining efficiency does not increase as the reduction rate of particle size decreases. During the macro-examination of the bonding interlace, a gray discolored region was observed on the bonding interface, and the center of the region was dark gray. After the micro-examination of the bonding interface, base metal made some second particulate formed by condensed alumina particulate but discoloration part distributed minute alumina particulate without second particulate. Consequently, it was also observed that rotational speed of 3 000 r/min and upset pressure of 63.6 MPa showed a very ***.

Cardiovascular diseases cause huge socio-economic burden *** a mammalian myocardium has its own limited healing capability,scaffold materials capable of releasing stem cell recruiting/engrafting factors may facilitate the regeneration of the infarcted *** aim of this research was to develop cardiac patches capable of simultaneously eluting substance P(SP)and insulin-like growth factor-1C(IGF-1C)***/collagen type 1-based patches with or without SP and IGF-1C peptide were fabricated by co-electrospinning,which exhibited nanofibrous *** and IGF-1C/SP patches recruited significantly higher numbers of bone marrow-mesenchymal stem cells than that of the negative control and patch-only groups in *** developed patches were transplanted in an infarcted myocardium for up to 14 *** underwent left anterior descending artery ligation and received one of the following treatments:(i)sham,(ii)saline,(iii)patch-only,(iv)IGF-1C patch,(v)SP patch and(vi)IGF-1C/SP *** and IGF-1C/SP patch-treated groups exhibited better heart function and attenuated adverse cardiac remodeling than that of the saline,patch-only and individual peptide containing cardiac *** patch and IGF-1C/SP patch-treated groups also showed higher numbers of CD31-positive vessels and isolectin B4-positive capillaries than that of other ***-1C/SP-treated group also showed thicker left ventricular wall in comparison to the saline and patch-only ***,IGF-1C/SP patches recruited significantly higher numbers of CD29-positive cells and showed less numbers of Tunel-positive cells compared with the other *** data suggest that SP and IGF-1C peptides may act synergistically for in situ tissue repair.
