The chalcogenides of platinum-group metals(PGMs)have been known to be present in minerals and the intermediate products of *** recent years,their applications in various fields,including catalysis,have been *** that certain PGM chalcogenides behave as compound semiconductors,they can be used as materials for *** this study,RuS_(2),featuring a bandgap suitable for near-infrared photodetectors,was prepared by forming Ru on a SiO_(2)/Si substrate via the atomic layer deposition method using[Ru(TMM)(CO)_(3)]as the *** was conducted at 800℃ for 1 h under H_(2)S ***-resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM)and X-ray diffraction(XRD)analysis clearly confirmed that the as-deposited hexagonal close-packed(hcp)Ru transformed to cubic RuS_(2) after *** surface morphologies,chemical states,and electrical and optical properties of RuS_(2) were *** influence of the metallic Ru surface morphology prior to sulfurization on the reaction between Ru and H_(2)S was also *** evaluate the potential of using RuS_(2) as a photodetector,a photodetector was fabricated by forming electrodes on RuS_(2) to measure its photocurrent under near-infrared ***,RuS_(2) was proven to exhibit a short response time(59μs)and generate a photocurrent of 84 nA under near-infrared light at 940 nm.

High efficiency CZTSSe solar cells enabled by dual Ag-passivation approach via aqueous solution process

Ag substitution in Cu_(2)ZnSn(S,Se)_(4)(CZTSSe)is a promising way to mitigate Cu/Zn related defects,electrostatic fluctuations and Shockley-Read-Hall(SRH)recombination ***,high performance ACZTSSe solar cells are generally demonstrated with more Ag amounts and strenuous fabrication processes,which are not ideal when using cheap constituent materials *** reduce the Ag amount(2%-3%),local Ag substitutions into CZTSSe at front(F),back(B)and dual front/back(FB)were *** results revealed that F-passivation effectively reduced the Cu/Zn related defects and further limits the interface/bulk recombination whereas B-passivation improved the grain growth at the back interface and further allows enhanced transport of charge *** employing the dual Agpassivation approach,the final ACZTSSe device parameters were significantly improved and remarkable power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 12.43%was achieved with eco-friendly aqueous solution process.

A small and medium enterprises(SMEs)manufacturing platform aims to perform as a significant revenue to SMEs and vendors by providing scheduling and monitoring *** optimal job shop scheduling is generated by utilizing the scheduling system of the platform,and a minimum production time,i.e.,makespan decides whether the scheduling is optimal or *** scheduling result allows manufacturers to achieve high productivity,energy savings,and customer *** in Industry 4.0 requires dynamic,uncertain,complex production environments,and customer-centered *** paper proposes a novel method for solving the difficulties of the SMEs manufacturing by applying and implementing the job shop scheduling system on a SMEs manufacturing *** primary purpose of the SMEs manufacturing platform is to improve the B2B relationship between manufacturing companies and *** platform also serves qualified and satisfactory production opportunities for buyers and producers by meeting two key factors:early delivery date and fulfillment of processing as many orders as *** genetic algorithm(GA)-based scheduling method results indicated that the proposed platform enables SME manufacturers to obtain optimized schedules by solving the job shop scheduling problem(JSSP)by comparing with the real-world data from a textile weaving factory in South *** proposed platform will provide producers with an optimal production schedule,introduce new producers to buyers,and eventually foster relationships and mutual economic interests.

Two-dimensional(2D)character animation is one of the most important visual elements on which users’interest is focused in the game ***,2D character animation works in the game field are mostly performed manually in two dimensions,thus generating high production *** study proposes a generative adversarial network based production tool that can easily and quickly generate the sprite images of 2D ***,we proposed a methodology to create a synthetic dataset for training using images from the real world in the game resource production field where machine learning datasets are *** addition,we have enabled effective sprite generation while minimizing user input in the process of using the *** this end,we proposed a mixed input method with a small number of segmentations and skeletal bone *** proposed image-to-image translation network effectively generated sprite images from the user input images using the skeletal *** conducted an experiment regarding the number of images required and showed that 2D sprite resources can be generated even with a small number of segmentation inputs and one skeletal bone drawing.

Distinctive clinical features of spontaneous pneumoperitoneum in neonates: A retrospective analysis

BACKGROUND Spontaneous pneumoperitoneum(SP) without gastrointestinal perforation rarely occurs in neonates, with most SP cases being idiopathic. Although SP usually follows a benign clinical course with favorable prognosis, it can become lifethreatening in certain situations. In these cases, urgent surgical intervention may be required. Therefore, it may be difficult to decide when or how to perform prompt *** To demonstrate the distinct clinical features of SP to guide appropriate management by comparing characteristics between SP and typical pneumoperitoneum secondary to gastrointestinal *** We retrospectively reviewed electronic medical records and identified 37 neonates with radiological evidence of pneumoperitoneum who were treated at our institution. Clinical variables were compared between neonates with SP without gastrointestinal perforation(Group A) and those with pneumoperitoneum secondary to gastrointestinal perforation(Group B). Clinical variables between groups were compared using Student’s t-test and the chi-square test. The risk factors related to mortality were examined using multi-logistic regression *** Group A comprised 35.1%(13/37) of the patients. The frequency of persistent pulmonary hypertension(53.8%) and pneumothorax(46.2%) before the development of pneumoperitoneum was significantly higher in group A than in group B(P =0.004). Platelet count and partial pressure of arterial oxygen(PaO) were significantly lower in group A(P = 0.015 and 0.025, respectively). Overall mortality was significantly higher in group A than in group B(76.9% vs 16.7%, P = 0.001). Only preterm infants were significantly associated with high mortality(P = 0.041;odds ratio = 18.0). Mechanical strength and corrosion resistance of Al-additive friction stir welded AZ31B joints

Compared to other structural alloys,magnesium alloys have a relatively poor corrosion resistance and low mechanical strength,which can be further deteriorated when these alloys are subjected to joining processes using the existing joining ***,we propose for the first time an additive friction stir-welding(AFSW)using fine Al powder as an additive to improve the mechanical strength as well as corrosion resistance of AZ31B weld *** is a solid-state welding method of forming a high-Al AZ31B joint via an in-situ reaction between pure Al powders filled in a machined groove and the AZ31B *** optimize the process parameters,AFSW was performed under different rotational and transverse speeds,and number of passes,using tools with a square or screw *** particular,to fabricate a weld zone,where the Al was homogenously dispersed,the effects of the groove shape were investigated using three types of grooves:surface one-line groove,surface-symmetric grooves,and inserted symmetric *** homogenous and defect-less AFS-welded AZ31B joint was successfully fabricated with the following optimal parameters:1400 rpm,25 mm/min,four passes,inserted symmetric grooves,and the tool with a square *** AFSW fully dissolved the additive Al intoα-Mg and in-situ precipitated Mg_(17)Al_(12)particles,which was confirmed via scanning electron microscopy,transmission electron microscope,and X-ray diffraction *** microhardness,joint efficiency,and elongation at the fracture point of the AFS-welded AZ31B joint were 80 HV,101%,and 8.9%,*** values are higher than those obtained for the FS-welded AZ31 joint in previous *** corrosion resistance of the AFS-welded AZ31B joint,evaluated via hydrogen evolution measurements and potentiodynamic polarization tests,was enhanced to 55%relative to the FS-welded AZ31B joint.

BACKGROUND Compared to earlier,there has been an increase in the tattoo procedures for cosmetic purposes;and there has also been an increase in the tattoo procedures performed by non-medical *** South Korea,only tattoos performed by a doctor are considered legal;however,there is still some debate over whether tattoo procedures performed by non-healthcare providers should be considered *** SUMMARY A 28-year-old woman visited our hospital with pain in both nipples and heat sensation over the last 4 *** had a history of a nipple tattoo performed by an unlicensed *** bleeding was noted in both areolar areas,and the exudate mixed with pus and orange color ink was *** medication and tulle with foam dressing were performed under the impression of cellulitis and allergic *** 4 wk,nipples remained dark brown in color,resulting in a color mismatch between the nipple and orange-colored *** size of the areola was also found to be distinctly asymmetrical after *** complication may have been caused by the use of illegal ink or unsanitary procedures,or a problem may have occurred in the post-tattoo management *** Doctors use approved ink,aseptic procedure and appropriate postoperative care,and appropriate management can be performed in case of complications.

Long-lasting,reinforced electrical networking in a high-loading Li_(2)S cathode for high-performance lithium–sulfur batteries

Realizing a lithium sulfide(Li_(2)S)cathode with both high energy density and a long lifespan requires an innovative cathode design that maximizes electrochemical performance and resists electrode ***,a high-loading Li_(2)S-based cathode with micrometric Li_(2)S particles composed of two-dimensional graphene(Gr)and one-dimensional carbon nanotubes(CNTs)in a compact geometry is developed,and the role of CNTs in stable cycling of high-capacity Li–S batteries is *** a dimensionally combined carbon matrix,CNTs embedded within the Gr sheets create robust and sustainable electron diffusion pathways while suppressing the passivation of the active carbon *** a unique point,during the first charging process,the proposed cathode is fully activated through the direct conversion of Li_(2)S into S_(8) without inducing lithium polysulfide *** direct conversion of Li_(2)S into S_(8) in the composite cathode is ubiquitously investigated using the combined study of in situ Raman spectroscopy,in situ optical microscopy,and cryogenic transmission electron *** composite cathode demonstrates unprecedented electrochemical properties even with a high Li_(2)S loading of 10 mg cm^(–2);in particular,the practical and safe Li–S full cell coupled with a graphite anode shows ultra-long-term cycling stability over 800 cycles.

Microstructural characteristics and low-cycle fatigue properties of AZ91 and AZ91-Ca-Y alloys extruded at different temperatures

The commercial AZ91 alloy and nonflammable SEN9(AZ91-0.3Ca-0.2Y,wt%)alloy are extruded at 300°C and 400°*** microstructure,tensile and compressive properties,and low-cycle fatigue(LCF)properties are investigated,with particular focus on the influence of the extrusion *** the AZ91 and SEN9 materials extruded at 300°C(300-materials),numerous fine Mg_(17)Al_(12)particles are inhomogeneously distributed owing to localized dynamic precipitation during extrusion,unlike those extruded at 400°C(400-materials).These fine particles suppress the coarsening of recrystallized grains,decreasing the average grain size of *** the four extruded materials have considerably different microstructures,the difference in their tensile yield strengths is insignificant because strong grain-boundary hardening and precipitation hardening effects in 300-materials are offset almost completely by a strong texture hardening effect in ***,owing to their finer grains and weaker texture,300-materials have higher compressive yield strengths *** the LCF tests,{10-12}twinning is activated at lower stresses in 400-materials than in *** the fatigue damage accumulated per cycle is smaller in 400-materials,they have longer fatigue lives than those of 300-materials.A fatigue life prediction model for the investigated materials is established on the basis of the relationship between the total strain energy density(ΔW_(t))and the number of cycles to fatigue failure(N_(f)),and it is expressed through a simple equation(ΔW_(t)=10·N_(f)-0.59).This model enables fatigue life prediction of both the investigated alloys regardless of the extrusion temperature and strain amplitude.
