Probing the potential of polyester for CO_2 capture

Global warming, the major environmental issue confronted by humanity today, is caused by rising level of green house gases. Carbon capture and storage technologies offer potential for tapering CO2 emission in the atmosphere. Adsorption is believed to be a promising technology for CO2 capture. For this purpose, a polyester was synthesized by polycondensation of1,3,5-benzenetricarbonyl trichloride and cyanuric acid in pyridine and dichloromethane mixture. The polymer was then characterized using FT-IR, TGA, BET surface area and pore size analysis, FesEM and CO2 adsorption measurements. The CO2 adsorption capacities of the polyester were evaluated at a pressure of 1 bar and two different temperatures（273 and 298 K）.The performance of these materials to adsorb CO2 at atmospheric pressure was measured by optimum CO2 uptake of 0.244 mmol/g at 273 K. The synthesized polyester, therefore, has the potential to be exploited as CO2 adsorbent in pre-combustion capture process.

We study the non existence of shear in locally rotationally symmetric Bianchi type-Ⅲstring cosmological models with bulk viscosity and variable cosmological termΛ.Exact solutions of the field equations are obtained by assuming the conditions:the bulk viscosity is proportional to the expansion scalar,ξ∝θ,expansion scalar is proportional to shear scalar,θ∝σ,and A is proportional to the Hubble *** coefficient of bulk viscosity is assumed to be a power function of mass *** corresponding physical interpretations of the cosmological solutions are also discussed.

The developable surface is an important surface in computer aided design, geometric modeling and industrial manufactory. It is often given in the standard parametric form, but it can also be in the implicit form which is commonly used in algebraic geometry. Not all algebraic developable surfaces have rational parametrizations. In this paper, the authors focus on the rational developable surfaces. For a given algebraic surface, the authors first determine whether it is developable by geometric inspection, and then give a rational proper parametrization in the affrmative case. For a rational parametric surface, the authors also determine the developability and give a proper reparametrization for the developable surface.

Over the last few years, we have expanded our knowledge on numerous facets of the hepatitis C virus(HCV). Beginning with its discovery and viral life cycle, its impact on health, the development of liver disease and currently, effective antiviral treatments. The latter point has become of great interest throughout the developed world, where the possible eradication of HCV through specific strategies to reach all HCV-infected people has been announced. However, this scenario is very different in the countries of Latin America(LA), in which ess to HCV medications. It has been estimated that at least ten million Latin Americans may be infected with HCV. Despite the numbers, viral hepatitis does not seem to be considered a health problem in this region of the world. This reality poses a challenge for politicians and governments of these countries, as well as to the pharmaceutical industry, the medical practitioners, and academics in LA. In this editorial, we state the need for alterations in the attitudes of the integral players involved in this situation. A recognition shift could help to create preventive strategies of viral hepatitis and to advocate for accessibility to new HCV treatments.

Throughout history, many medical milestones have been achieved to prevent and treat human ***'s early conception of illness was naturally holistic or integrative. However, scientific knowledge was atomized into quantitative and qualitative research. In the field of medicine, the main trade-off was the creation of many medical specialties that commonly treat patients in advanced stages of disease. However, now that we are immersed in the post-genomic era, how should we reevaluate medicine? Genomic medicine has evoked a medical paradigm shift based on the plausibility to predict the genetic susceptibility to disease. Additionally, the development of chronic diseases should be viewed as a continuum of interactions between the individual's genetic make-up and environmental factors such as diet, physical activity, and emotions. Thus, personalized medicine is aimed at preventing or reversing clinical symptoms, and providing a better quality of life by integrating the genetic, environmental and cultural factors of diseases. Whether using genomic medicine in the field of gastroenterology is a new approach or a new medical specialty remains an open question. To address this issue, it will require the mutual work of educational and governmental authorities with public health professionals, with the goal of translating genomic medicine into better health policies.

Hepatitis B virus(HBV)genotypes have distinct genetic and geographic diversity and may be associated with specific clinical characteristics,progression,severity of disease and antiviral ***,we provide an updated overview of the endemicity of HBV genotypes H and G in *** genotype H is predominant among the Mexican population,but not in Central *** geographic distribution is related to a typical endemicity among the Mexicans which is characterized by a low hepatitis B surface antigen seroprevalence,apparently due to a rapid resolution of the infection,low viral loads and a high prevalence of occult B *** chronic infections,genotype H is detected in mixtures with other HBV genotypes and associated with other co-morbidities,such as obesity,alcoholism and co-infection with hepatitis C virus or human immunodeficiency *** carcinoma prevalence is ***,antiviral therapy may differ significantly from the standard guidelines established *** high prevalence of HBV genotype G in the Americas,especially among the Mexican population,raises new questions regarding its geographic origin that will require further investigation.

In this study,the main properties of the hydraulic jump in an asymmetric trapezoidal flume are analyzed experimentally,including the so-called sequent depths,characteristic lengths,and *** particular,an asymmetric trapezoidal flume with a length of 7 m and a width of 0.304 m is considered,with the bottom of the flume transversely inclined at an angle of m=0.296 and vertical lateral *** corresponding inflow Froude number is allowed to range in the interval(1.40es of this jump are compared to those of hydraulic jumps in channels with other types of cross-sections.A relationship for calculating hydraulic jump efficiency is proposed for the considered *** F1>5,the hydraulic jump is found to be more effective than that occurring in triangular and symmetric trapezoidal ***,when■mes>8 and■>5,the hydraulic jump in the asymmetrical trapezoidal channel downstream of a parallelogram sluice gate is completely formed as opposed to the situation where a triangular sluice is considered.

This editorial refers to the article“Comparative analysis of Nε-carboxymethyllysine and inflammatory markers in diabetic and non-diabetic coronary artery disease patients”,published in the recent issue of the World Journal of Diabetes 2023 is based on glucose metabolism,advanced glycation end products(AGes),inflammation and adiposity on diabetes and coronary artery disease(CAD).This study has included CAD patients who were stratified according to glycosylated hemoglobin higher than 6.5 and sex-matched.A higher prevalence of hypertension,dyslipidemia,and non-vegetarian diet were found in the diabetic *** risk factors might influence body weight and adiposity and explain the increment of the left *** this data was not supported by the *** diet can also explain the non-enzymatic reactions on lipids,proteins,or nucleic acids and consequently an increment of *** molecules can emit ***,one of the non-fluorescent and most abundant AGes is Nε-carboxymethyl-lysine(CML).Its association with coronary artery stenosis and severity in the diabetic group might suggest its role as a player in CAD ***,CML,after binding with its receptor(RAGE),can induce calcification cascade through reactive oxygen species and mitogen-activated protein ***,this interaction AGE-RAGE can cause activation of the transcription nuclear factor-kb and induce inflammatory *** might explain the relationship between CML and pro-inflammatory cytokines in diabetic and CAD *** this is a population from one center,the determination of CML and inflammatory cytokines might improve the diagnosis of severe and progressive *** and comparative studies among glycosylated hemoglobin,CML,and other AGE levels according to diagnosis and prognosis value might modify the clinical *** these molecules are irreversible,they can act through a specific receptor inducing a signal transduction that might be modulate

In this paper we pursue the study of the best approximation operator extended from L~Φ to L~φ, where φ denotes the derivative of the function Φ. We get pointwise convergence for the coefficients of the extended best approximation polynomials for a wide class of function f, closely related to the Calder′on–Zygmund class t_m^p(x) which had been introduced in 1961. We also obtain weak and strong type inequalities for a maximal operator related to the extended best polynomial approximation and a norm convergence result for the coefficients is derived. In most of these results, we have to consider Matuszewska–Orlicz indices for the function φ.
