Background:Palatal rugae are asymmetrical elevations present on hard palate and are significant due to their uniqueness,stability and thus,aid in forensic ***:The objective is to determine palatal rugae morphology between parents and their offsprings and to determine their genetic *** and Methods:This randomized controlled cross-sectional single-blinded study was conducted on 50 families(randomly selected)who visited Vyas Dental College and Hospital.A total of 150 maxillary study models were examined and rugae were delineated and shape,size,and pattern of rugae were ***:Weak but significant correlation was seen in the nonspecific and angular type of palatal rugae between child and mother and child and father as P<*** with either or both of their parent was seen for curved,wavy,divergent,straight,horseshoe,angular,and nonspecific type of rugae with the higher%of wavy pattern matching(52%with mother and 54%with father).A considerable number of samples showed high heritability of primary and secondary rugae from both parents,but more predominantly to their mothers(branched,nonspecific,and straight).Conclusion:Both environmental and genetic factors can influence the rugae ***,studies should be conducted on a larger sample size to get more significant results.

It is shown that the virtual states and relative momentum of the constituents of the bound states are very important for the cross section of the process e+e-→J/ψ+ηc with the help of the Bethe-Salpeter wave function description of the bound states. The gauge invariance of the cross section is demonstrated. The numerical results can explain the experimental data.

Waste generation from food manufacturing facilities poses a serious hazard like environmental degradation, water pollution, and land pollution due to its high nutrient composition. Specifically, solid waste(powder) disposal requires additional energy sources in terms of scientific treatment, structured collection, and disposal packaging according to the safety regulation. Thus, this research discusses the viewpoint of integrating food processing waste as an organic carbon source with BG-11 medium for Chlorella vulgaris(FSP-E) growth. The food processing waste powders investigated in this study were obtained from milk, and biscuit manufacturing facilities. The culture medium was modified by combining both BG-11 and food processing waste powders to identify the optimal algal growth and biochemical *** to the microalgae grown in BG-11 alone(IBG), the combination of biscuit waste and IBG produced higher biomass concentration(44%), with increased lipid(11%), protein(20%), and carbohydrate(57%) contents. Chlorella vulgaris was able to uptake nutrients from the culture medium with combination of food processing waste and IBG thus enhancing its growth. The results obtained also indicate that an integrated culture system using food processing waste and synthetic sources can generate energy out of waste by improving the bio-composition of the microalgae biomass.

The purpose of the study was to evaluate the BMI （body-mass index） and NAR （nutrient adequacy ratio） of intercollegiate and all India Interuniversity male volleyball players. The players who had reached the semi-final level in their respective tournaments were selected at both intercollegiate （N = 48） and interuniversity level （N = 48）. The BMI was computed using the standard formula weight in kg/height （in m） squared. The NAR was derived by 3-day dietary recall. In the case of BMI both the interuniversity level and intercollegiate level male volleyball players are observed to be normal and also there is no significant difference in their BMI scores. On comparing the NAR, it was observed that none of the players were consuming adequate RDA （recommended dietary allowances） as per the levels recommended by national institute of nutrition for volleyball players. The all India interuniversity players had a higher NAR for energy （0.89）, protein （1.05）, fat （0.76） and carbohydrate （0.91） than intercollegiate players who had a lower NAR for energy （0.64）, protein （0.71）, fat （0.58） and carbohydrates （0.66）, which could be probably due to the fact that training strategies and nutritional intervention of players are more focused at interuniversity level as compared to intercollegiate level.

Objective:To explore predictive hematological parameters on admission which are associated with mortality in NS1 positive dengue shock syndrome ***:Demographic characteristics,hematological parameters,and the outcome of NS1 positive dengue shock syndrome patients without any comorbidity and coexisting infections were collected from the Intensive Care Unit and the results were compared between the survivor and non-survivor ***:The mean age was(30.77±11.48)years and 56(56.6%)patients were *** of the total 99 patients,72(72.27%)patients were successfully discharged and 27(27.27%)patients eventually succumbed to *** most common hematological finding was thrombocytopenia(95.95%),followed by anemia(52.52%)and decreased mean platelet volume(37.37%).After controlling other variables,logistic regression analysis showed that absolute neutrophil count and mean platelet volume were associated with ***:Total leucocyte count,absolute neutrophil count,and total platelet count are significantly higher,and mean platelet volume is significantly lower in the non-survivor group as compared to the survivor *** neutrophil count and mean platelet volume are predictors associated with mortality.
