To elucidate the adsorption characteristics and retention mechanisms of fracturing fluids in diverse clay minerals, we conducted on-line nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR) and atomic force microscopy(AFM)experiments. The depth and extent of solid phase damage are determined by the ratio between the size of fine fractions in fracturing fluid residue and the pore-throat size in experiments. Poor physical properties(K lity is significantly influenced by the differential distribution of retained fracturing fluid, as supported by direct experimental evidence. The presence of good physical properties(K > 0.5 m D) combined with a scattered distribution of retained fracturing fluid is associated with high gas phase recovery permeability, whereas a continuous sheet-like distribution results in low recovery permeability. The expansive surface area and presence of filamentous illite minerals facilitate the multiple winding and adsorption of fracturing fluids, demonstrating strong hydrogen-bonding, multi-layering and multiple adsorption properties. The geological characteristics of the main gas formations exhibit significant variation, and the severity of damage caused by fracturing fluids occurs in diverse sequences. To address this issue, a differentiated strategy for optimizing fracturing fluids has been proposed.

Exchange bias(EB)is a fundamental phenomenon in widespread information ***,a comprehensive understanding of its microscopic origin remains a great *** key issue in the debate is the role of frustration and disorder in the EB mechanism,which motivates the exploration of the EB effect in spin glass(SG)***,in the SG state of Crdoped Hund's metal CsFe_(2)As_(2),we discover a giant EB effect with a maximum bias field of -2 T,which is almost two orders of magnitude larger than that of traditional alloy *** results indicate that the giant EB effect should originate from the exchange interactions at the natural boundaries between the tunable ferromagnetic-like(FM)regions around Cr dopants and the SG matrix,via which the FM spins are strongly pinned by the frozen spins in the SG *** addition,the temperaturedependent and cooling-field-dependent EB behaviors could be interpreted well by the SG model with frustrated FM/SG boundaries,which provides an intuitive and explicit understanding of the impact of glassy parameters on the EB *** these results suggest that the correlated metals are promising directions for exploring the EB effect in the SG state.

The connection between rainfall over topographic regions and their downstream areas represents a phenomenon of great concern in atmospheric research. Focusing on the rainfall events of the past two decades, we analyzed the impact of rainfall over the Northeastern Slope of the Tibetan Plateau (NSTP) on rainfall in downstream areas. We discovered that rainfall followed two propagation routes, guided by two modes related to the three-dimensional circulation structure. In the first mode, dominated by cold (warm) anomalies along the west (east) direction, rainfall over the NSTP was concentrated between an upstream cyclonic and a downstream anti-cyclonic anomalous circulation (an upstream trough and a downstream ridge). This pattern was accompanied by upper-level divergence, low-level convergence, a deep moist layer, and a vertical updraft. As a consequence of the eastward movement of the trough-ridge system associated with the cold-warm anomalies, the rainfall over the NSTP moved eastward along 37 degrees-40 degrees N, reaching North China after about 36 h. In the second mode, the circulation structure was also dominated by cold-warm anomalies but rotated clockwise, introducing cold anomalies to the northeast and warm anomalies to the east of the plateau. Following the southeastward movement of the circulation structure, rainfall concentrated upstream of the anti-cyclonic circulation around the warm center before moving southeastward to the Sichuan Basin along the eastern edge of the plateau after 30-36 h. The findings of this study could broaden the understanding of rainfall-related teleconnection between two distant regions and offer helpful guidance for identifying early signals of rainfall disasters over the Chinese mainland. To explore air contamination resulting from special biomass combustion and suspended dust in Lhasa,the present study focused on the size distribution and chemical characteristics of particulate matter(PM)emission resulting from 7 types of non-fossil pollution *** investigated the concentration and size distribution of trace elements from 7 pollution sources collected in *** Lhasa’s atmospheric particulate matter data,enrichment factors(EFs)have been calculated to examine the potential impact of those pollution sources on the atmosphere quality of *** highest mass concentration of total elements of biomass combustion appeared at PM_(0.4),and the second highest concentration existed in the size fraction 0.4-1μm;the higher proportion(12%)of toxicmetals was produced by biomass *** elemental composition of suspended dust and atmospheric particulate matter was close(except for As and Cd);the highest concentration of elements was all noted in PM_(2.5-10)(PM3-10).Potassium was found to be one of the main biomass *** proportion of Cu in suspended dust is significantly lower than that of atmospheric particulate matter(0.53%and 3.75%),which indicates that there are other anthropogenic *** EFs analysis showed that the Cr,Cu,Zn,and Pb produced by biomass combustion were highly enriched(EFs>100)in all particle *** EFs of most trace elements increased with decreasing particle size,indicating the greater influence of humanfactors on smaller particles.

The anchoring capacity of the anchor cable is closely related to the bonding length and radial pressure conditions. Through field pull-out tests, theoretical analysis, numerical simulation, and industrial tests, this study clarifies the relationship between radial pressure and bonding length for the ultimate pull-out force and reveals the microscopic failure process of the resin-rock interface in the anchoring system. The results show that the ultimate load increases with the increase of bonding length in three different stages: rapid, slow, and uniform growth. The new mechanical model developed considering radial pressure describes the inverse relationship between radial pressure and the plastic zone on the bonding section, and quantifies the reinforcing effect of confining pressure on the anchoring force. During the pull-out process of the anchor cable, the generation of failure cracks is in the order of orifice, bottom, and middle of the hole. Radial pressure can effectively enhance the ultimate pull-out force, alleviate the oscillation increase of pull-out force, and inhibit resin cracking, but will produce an external crushing zone. It also reveals the synergistic effect between bonding length and radial pressure, and successfully carries out industrial tests of anchor cable support, which ensures the stability of the stope roof and provides an important reference for the design of anchor cable support in deep high-stress mines. © 2025
