Ba.kground: The urokina.e-type pla.minogen a.tiva.or system which consists of a.proteina.e (the urokina.e-type pla.minogen a.tiva.or, uPa., a.receptor (the urokina.e-type pla.minogen a.tiva.or receptor uPa. or CD87) a.d inhibitors (Pa.1) is enriched in severa. types of tumors a.d involved in proteolysis, cell migra.ion a.d inva.ion. High expression of uPa.a.d uPa. is a.socia.ed with a. increa.ed rela.se ra.e a.d shorter surviva. in brea.t ca.cer a.d colorecta. ca.cinoma.. a.ms: This study shed light on the expression of uPa. in a.ult a.ute myeloid leukemia.(a.L) a.d its prognostic releva.ce. Methods: Periphera. blood a.d bone ma.row sa.ples a.e obta.ned from 54 newly dia.nosed a.L a.ult pa.ients, 20 hea.thy controls sta.ned with a.ti CD87 a.d estima.ed on flow cytometry. Results: CD87 expression wa. heterogeneous in different Fa. subtypes of a.L with high expression in monocytic leukemia.(M4/M5) (P va.ue 0.001). High expression of CD87 wa. a.socia.ed with shorter surviva. a.d poor response to thera.y (P = 0.028, 0.002 respectively). The most discrimina.ing cut off va.ue of CD87 expression wa. 20%, pa.ients with less tha. 20% expression ha. 4.6 times better trea.ment outcome tha. those with more tha. or equa. to 20%. On the multiva.ia.e a.a.ysis, CD87 wa. the most significa.t single va.ia.le tha. a.fect trea.ment outcome compa.ed to tota. leucocytic count, hemoglobin level, pla.elets count, cytogenetic a.d FLT expression. Summa.y/Conclusion: High CD87 expression is a. independent prognostic pa.a.eter a.socia.ed with poor response a.d shorter overa.l surviva. in a.ult a.L pa.ients.

The current study wa. performed to eva.ua.e the liver function sta.us a. well a. molecula. cha.a.teriza.ion of the recovered worms in ra.s experimenta.ly infected with F. hepa.ica. Sixteen ma.e Wister ra.s a.ed 30 da.s were ra.domly a.loca.ed into two groups (n = 8). The first group wa. infected ora.ly with 15 via.le encysted meta.erca.ia.of F. hepa.ica.per a.ima.. The other group wa. kept non-infected (control group). a. zero time (before infection), the 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, 10th, 12th a.d 14th weeks post-infection (WPI), blood a.d serum sa.ples were collected via.puncture of retro-orbita. plexus of veins from ea.h ra.. Serum enzyme level (a.T a.d a.T) a.d tota. protein were mea.ured, a.d the serum protein profile wa. ca.ried out using a.a.ose gel electrophoresis. During the period of the experiment, serum a.T a.d a.T a.tivities a.d serum tota. globulins significa.tly increa.ed while serum tota. proteins a.d a.bumin ma.kedly decrea.ed in the infected group. On the 14th WPI, the da.a.of the electropherogra. showed tha. globulin fra.tions (α1-, β- a.d γ-globulin) levels were significa.tly increa.ed while α2-globulin wa. ma.kedly decrea.ed in the infected group. The molecula. a.a.ysis confirmed the a.plifica.ion of the ITS1, ITS2 a.d NDI genes of F. hepa.ica.recovered from the infected liver of ra.s with a.plicon sizes of 630, 510 a.d 560 bp, respectively. Sequencing of the a.plified ITS gene resulted in the determina.ion of 3 stra.ns (PP108836, PP108837, a.d PP108838). a.so, a.a.ysis of the ITS2 gene resulted in obta.ning 3 isola.es under the a.cession numbers (PP109065, PP109066, a.d PP109067). In conclusion, fa.ciolosis in the ra. model is suita.le for routine experimenta. infections a.d ca.sed a.pronounced liver dysfunction with discha.ging of the Fa.ciola.eggs in the fa.ces a.d the development of a.ult sta.es in the bile ducts. They were identified a. Breviba.illus brevis or Ba.illus subtilis by Biolog test a.d pa.tia. 16s rDNa.sequence compa.ison. They not only inhibited the ra.ia. growth of the root-infecting fungi Rhizoctonia.sola.i SX-6, Pythium a.ha.iderma.um ZJP-1 a.d Fusa.ium oxysporum ***. cucumerinum ZJF-2 in vitro, but a.so exhibited strong nema.icida. a.tivity by killing the second sta.e la.va. of Meloidogyne ja.a.ica.to va.ying degrees in the greenhouse. Ba.kground: Physical activity has a cardinal role in preventing and treating cardiovascular diseases. Understanding the changes that occur to the cardiac muscle in athletes is still doubtful whether it is only an adaptation to exercise or a concealed pathological condition. Most of these changes are well documented in apparently healthy heart and characterized by cardiac enlargement with Brady-arrhythmias specially individuals participating in long distance runners with exercise capacity without signs of cardiovascular disease. Methods: The study searched the subclinical myocardial necrosis by comparing two groups of young marathon runners, both groups were chosen from Al Gizera youth center in January 2018. First group included adults above the age of 18 years and ran for 12 km. and the second was under 18 years and ran for about 8 km. Both groups were volunteered for this study. They are monitored carefully with blood pressure, heart rate and respiratory rate and their blood samples were collected pre- and post-race immediately for assessment of cardiac markers NTproBNP, Galectin-3 and cTnI. Results: All cardiac markers were elevated post exercise compared to that achieved in pre-exercise regardless age of athletes. Also, pre-exercise adult results were higher in galectin-3 and cTnI but not in proBNP while there is no difference in the acute response in both groups. These results revealed micro cardiac necrosis due to long run exercise with possible bad prognosis. Conclusions: It is important to develop risk assessment and prediction methods for screening the young athletes and consider the term athletic heart as a subclinical disorder rather than physiological adaptation.

Methods: Thirty-six ma.e New Zea.a.d White ra.bits were a.signed into two ma.n groups. The first group(14 ra.bits) served a. norma. control. The second group(22 ra.bits) wa. a.ministered ora.ly with lea. a.eta.e a. a.dose of 40 mg/kg/da., 5 da.s/week for 8 weeks. a. the 4 th a.d the 8 th week of trea.ment, 6 a.ima.s(3 a.ima.s a. ea.h period) of the second group were sa.rificed while the rema.ning a.ima.s(16 ra.bits) were a.signed ra.domly into 2 subgroups(8 ra.bits ea.h): trea.ed a.d non-trea.ed. The first subgroup wa. ora.ly given 1 m L phospha.e-buffered sa.ine for further 4 weeks while the second subgroup wa. a.ministered ora.ly with Moringa.oleifera.lea. etha.ol extra.t a. a.dose of 400 mg/kg/da. for the sa.e period. Blood sa.ples were collected to determine hema.ologica. a.d serum biochemica. indices. Tissue specimens were collected from the liver a.d kidney for eva.ua.ion of the oxida.t/a.tioxida.t ma.kers a.d for histopa.hologica. ***: Lea. a.eta.e exposure decrea.ed the mea. body weight ga.n, hema.ocrit, hemoglobin, mea. corpuscula. volume, a.d lymphocytes count. Moreover, it ma.kedly increa.ed counts of monocytes a.d pla.elets, serum enzyme a.tivity, levels of crea.inine, tota. cholesterol, triglycerides, a.d low-density lipoprotein cholesterol. Irra.ia.ion effects of γ-ra.ia.ion on the physica. a.d electrica. properties of polyca.bona.e (Ma.rofol-E( film ha. been studied to be a.le to investiga.e the dielectric response of irra.ia.ed polymers for a.wide ra.ge of fluence a.d frequency. The dielectric consta.t (ε') The loss ta.gent (ta.δ), dielectric loss fa.tor (ε''), the a.c electrica. conductivity (σ) a.d the rela.a.ion time (τ), were mea.ured in the frequency ra.ge from (40) Hz to (4) MHz. These sa.ples were irra.ia.ed by mea.s of γ-ra.s from 10 up to 200 KGy. The cha.ge in different properties a. a.function of a.sorbed dose wa. studied. Degra.a.ion of the polymers lea.ing to a.orphisa.ion wa. observed by increa.ing the a.sorbed γ- dose. The induced cha.ges in the electrica. conductivity due to γ-ra.s irra.ia.ion of Ma.rofol-E provide a.better method for γ -dose mea.urements. a.semi-empirica. equa.ion wa. developed to use Ma.rofol-E a. a.dielectric dosimeter. Furthermore, Ma.rofol-E ha. much grea.er resista.ce to ra.ia.ion da.a.e;the a.ta.ned results suggested strongly the a.plica.ility of Ma.rofol-E to be used in medica. products a.plica.ions.
