Gastrointestinal lymphoma is the most common type of extranodal lymphoma,and most commonly affects the *** zone B-cell lymphoma of the mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue(MALT)and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma are the most common histologic types of gastric *** its increasing incidence,diagnosis of gastric lymphoma is difficult at an earlier stage due to its nonspecific symptoms and endoscopic findings,and,thus,a high index of suspicion,and multiple,deep,repeated biopsies at abnormally and normally appearing sites in the stomach are *** addition,testing for Helicobacter pylori(***)infection and endoscopic ultrasonography to determine the depth of tumor invasion and involvement of regional lymph nodes is essential for predicting response to *** eradication and for assessment of disease *** addition,*** infection and MALT lymphoma development are associated,and complete regression of low-grade MALT lymphomas after *** eradication has been *** and/or chemotherapy can be used in cases that show poor response to *** eradication,negativity for *** infection,or high-grade lymphoma.

BACKGROUND Arsenic trioxide(ATO)is recommended for patients who do not achieve molecular remission or who have molecular or morphologic ***,there are no guidelines for adjusting ATO dosage in patients with severe renal failure or on ***,we report the successful treatment of relapsed acute promyelocytic leukemia(APL)in a patient on hemodialysis with ATO single agent and review the cases in *** SUMMARY A 46-year-old woman who has been on hemodialysis to chronic glomerulonephritis for 15 years visited our hospital for *** had been seen for pancytopenia 3 years ago and had been diagnosed with *** also received chemotherapy for APL but unfortunately was lost to follow-up after her second consolidation *** was noted to have pancytopenia by her nephrologist during hemodialysis 1 mo *** marrow biopsy and reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)tests revealed a diagnosis of relapsed *** for relapsed APL with ATO single agent was started and she achieved molecular remission after administering 24 doses of *** far,four consolidation therapies have been performed with the ATO single agent,and,to date,the molecular remission has been maintained as negative promyelocytic leukemia/retinoic acid receptor-αfusion gene as confirmed by RTPCR testing for two *** This is a rare case of relapsed APL successfully treated with the single agent ATO in a patient on hemodialysis.

It is well known that solid solution-strengthened alloy 617 and γ′ precipitation-strengthened alloy 263 have excellent mechanical properties and corrosion resistance at high temperatures. Hyper-supercritical power plants work at temperatures above 700 ℃, and these superalloys are considered candidate materials for steam turbines components of these power plants. In this study, gas tungsten arc weldability of these superalloys was evaluated, and the effects of post- weld heat treatment （PWHT） on the microstructural characteristics and the mechanical properties of their weld metals were investigated. Scanning transmission electron microscopy, energy-dispersive spectroscopy and electron probe microanalysis were utilized for the investigation. The experimental results confirmed that these weld metals had different characteristics in microstructure and mechanical properties. PWHT resulted in the precipitation of intergranular carbides, γ′ particles and an increase in tensile strength of these superalloy weld metals. Furthermore, fine γ′ particles, which were not detected in the as-welded metal of alloy 263, were precipitated after PWHT and those particles were the reason for the drastic increase in tensile strength.

AIM: To examine the characteristics of colonic polyps, where it is difficult to distinguish adenomatous polyps from hyperplastic polyps, with the aid of acetic acid chromoendoscopy. METHODS: Acetic acid spray was applied to colonic polyps smaller than 10 mm before complete excision. Endoscopic images were taken before and 15-30 s after the acetic acid spray. Both pre-and post-sprayed images were shown to 16 examiners, who were asked to interpret the lesions as either hyperplastic or adenomatous polyps. Regression analysis was performed to determine which factors were most likely related to diagnostic accuracy. RESULTS: In 50 cases tested by the 16 examiners, the overall accuracy was 62.4% (499/800). Regression analysis demonstrated that surrounding colonic mucosa was the only factor that was significantly related to accuracy in discriminating adenomatous from hyperplastic polyps (P so for those with nodular, irregularly patterned surrounding colonic mucosa.

Objective To identify waterborne enteric viruses in Korean surface water. Methods Integrated cell culture（ICC）multiplex reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction （RT-PCR） was simultaneously designed to detect coxsackieviruses （CV）, polioviruses （PV）, and reoviruses （RV）. ICC-multiplex RT-PCR and phylogenetic analysis were conducted using 21 total culturable virus assay （TCVA）-positive sample-inoculated cell cultures. Results CV and RV were detected in 9 samples each, and 3 samples were positive for both CV and RV. PV was not detected in any sample. Molecular phylogenetic analysis of the VP1 gene sequences revealed that CV types B2 and B4 predominated in Korean surface water, and the nucleotide sequences of CV type B2 were clustered with those of CVs isolated from China and Japan. The results suggested that the evolution of these viruses occurred in a region-specific manner. Conclusion CV and RV are detectable in Korean surface water, with a predominance of CV type B2, and the evolution of CV type B2 occur in a region-specific manner.

High- and medium-Mn (H/M-Mn) base lightweight steels are a class of ultrastrong structural materials with high ductility compared to their low-Mn counterparts with low strength and poor ***, producing these H/M-Mn materials requires the advanced or high-tech manufacturing techniques, which can unavoidably provoke labor and cost concerns. Herein, we have developed a facilestrategy that circumvents the strength–ductility trade-off in low-Mn ferritic lightweight steels, by employing low-temperature tempering-induced partitioning (LTP). This LTP treatment affords a typical Fe-2.8Mn-5.7Al-0.3C (wt.%) steel with a heterogeneous size-distribution of metastable austenite embeddedin a ferrite matrix for partitioning more carbon into smaller austenite grains than into the larger austenite ones. This size-dependent partitioning results in slip plane spacing modification and lattice strain,which act through dislocation engineering. We ascribe the simultaneous improvement in strength andtotal elongation to both the size-dependent dislocation movement in austenite grains and the controlleddeformation-induced martensitic transformation. The low-carbon-partitioned large austenite grains increase the strength and ductility as a consequence of the combined martensitic transformation andhigh dislocation density-induced hardening and by interface strengthening. Additionally, high-carbonpartitioned small austenite grains enhance the strength and ductility by planar dislocation glide (inthe low strain regime) and by cross-slipping and delayed martensitic transformation (in the high strainregime). The concept of size-dependent dislocation engineering may provide different pathways for developing a wide range of heterogeneous-structured low-Mn lightweight steels, suggesting that LTP maybe desirable for broad industrial applications at an economic cost.
