Simulated Indonesian Throughflow in Makassar Strait across the SODA3 products

The Indonesian Throughflow(ITF), which connects the tropical Pacific and Indian oceans, plays important roles in the inter-ocean water exchange and regional or even global climate variability. The Makassar Strait is the main inflow passage of the ITF, carrying about 77% of the total ITF volume transport. In this study, we analyze the simulated ITF in the Makassar Strait in the Simple Ocean Data Assimilation version 3(SODA3) datasets. A total of nine ensemble members of the SODA3 datasets, of which are driven by different surface forcings and bulk formulas, and with or without data assimilation, are used in this study. The annual mean water transports(i.e.,volume, heat and freshwater) are related to the combination of surface forcing and bulk formula, as well as whether data assimilation is employed. The phases of the seasonal and interannual variability in water transports cross the Makassar Strait, are basically consistent with each other among the SODA3 ensemble members. The interannual variability in Makassar Strait volume and heat transports are significantly correlated with El Ni?oSouthern Oscillation(ENSO) at time lags of-6 to 7 months. There is no statistically significant correlation between the freshwater transport and the ENSO. The Makassar Strait water transports are not significantly correlated with the Indian Ocean Dipole(IOD), which may attribute to model deficiency in simulating the propagation of semiannual Kelvin waves from the Indian Ocean to the Makassar Strait.

枯萎病是红花龙胆栽培中发生最普遍,危害最严重的病害之一。为明确引起红花龙胆枯萎病的病原种类及其侵染特性,本研究采用组织分离法获得2个菌株,结合形态学特征以及ITS和Mcm7序列鉴定,2个菌株被鉴定为Clarireedia jacksonii,这是该菌在龙胆科植物上引起枯萎病的首次报道。致病性测定表明,该菌在15~35℃可侵染红花龙胆健康叶片,最佳侵染温度为25℃。生长特性研究表明,该菌最适生长温度为25℃,最适pH为5,菌丝致死温度为50℃处理10 min。

构建科学合理的教学设计评价体系是开展教学评价的前提。AHP-TOPSIS法是一种定性与定量相结合的指标体系评价方法,采用Delphi法进行专家咨询,确定单元教学设计评价的指标体系;采用AHP方法建构出评价层次结构模型,确定测评其权重,构建出6项一级指标和29项二级指标组成的评价指标体系。运用TOPSIS综合评价法对六位教师的单元教学设计方案进行了评价,结果证明其模型的有效性,能够帮助教师改进单元教学设计,推动学生核心素养的培养。

Contrasting vertical distribution between prokaryotes and fungi in different water masses on the Ninety-East Ridge, Southern Indian Ocean

Although the microbial diversity of the Indian Ocean has been extensively investigated,little is known about the community composition of microbes in the Southern Indian *** the present study,we divided 60 water column samples on the Ninety-East Ridge(NER)into fi ve water masses according to the temperature-salinity *** presented,for the fi rst time,a full description of the microbial biodiversity on NER through high-throughput amplicon sequencing approach,including bacteria,archaea,and *** found that bacteria exhibited higher richness and diversity than archaea and fungi across the water masses on *** importantly,each water mass on NER featured distinct prokaryotic microbial communities,as indicated by the results of non-metric multidimensional *** contrast,fungi were eurybathic across the water *** analysis results demonstrated that environmental factors might play a pivotal role in the formation and stability of prokaryotic communities in each water mass,especially that of *** addition,indicator species might be used as fi ngerprints to identify corresponding water masses on *** results provide new insights into the vertical distribution,structure,and diversity of microorganisms on NER from the perspective of water mass.

基于INSTANT(International Nusantara Stratification And Transport)观测资料的分析,龙目和翁拜海峡不同深度流量的季节内变化具有不同的显著周期。根据这一特征,龙目海峡水体输送可分为150 m以浅和150~300 m两层,其显著周期分别为30~70 d和30~40 d,前者由第二斜压模Kelvin波引起,而后者受第一斜压模Kelvin波影响;翁拜海峡水体输送可分为4层,300 m以浅为准40 d和50~75 d振荡,300~600 m为30~45 d和55~75 d振荡,600~1 000 m为30~40 d、准50 d、60~75 d振荡,1 000~1 200 m为30~40 d振荡以及较弱的20 d以下高频振荡。起源于赤道中印度洋的季节内Kelvin波的传播过程是引起龙目和翁拜海峡海洋季节内变化的重要因素,它在水平向东传播的同时,在垂直方向也会引起位相的传播,且率先抵达深层。据估算,海洋季节内变化从赤道中印度洋传播至龙目和翁拜海峡的速度约为1.59~2.95 m/s,由第一和第二斜压模Kelvin波构成。苏门答腊-爪哇岛沿岸风对季节内Kelvin波的传播也有重要影响。

Vertical velocity and transport in the South China Sea

Deep water in the South China Sea is renewed by the cold and dense Luzon Strait ***,from where and how the deep water upwells is poorly understood *** on the Hybrid Coordinate Ocean Model reanalysis data,vertical velocity is derived to answer these ***-integrated vertical velocity is of two maxima,one in the shallow water and the other at depth,and separated by a layer of minimum at the bottom of the *** analysis shows that this two-segmented vertical transport is attributed to the vertical compensation of subsurface water to the excessive outflow of shallow water and upward push of the dense Luzon Strait overflow,*** the abyssal basin,the vertical transport increases upward from zero at the depth of 3500–4000 m and reaches a maximum of 1.5×10^(6) m^(3)/s at about 1500 *** water upwells mainly from the northeastern and southwestern ends of the abyssal basin and off the continental *** explain the upward velocity arising from slope breaks,a possible mechanism is proposed that an onshore velocity component can be derived from the deep western boundary current above steep slopes under bottom friction.

Variability of the deep South China Sea circulation derived from HYCOM reanalysis data

This study aims to investigate variability of the deep South China Sea(SCS)circulation using the Hybrid Coordinate Ocean Model(HYCOM)global reanalysis *** results reveal that annual cycle is a dominant component in the deep SCS ***,the boundary circulation strength is the weakest in January and peaks between June and *** eastern and southern boundary currents strengthen/weaken one to three months earlier than that in the western and northern *** Empirical Orthogonal Functions(VEOF)analysis results reveal that semiannual and intraseasonal fluctuations are significant components,of which the spatial patterns are mainly confined in the northern and western boundary areas as well as the southwestern *** analysis results show the strength of significant fluctuation varies year to *** analysis results indicate a decadal weakening in the deep SCS *** anomalous anticyclonic circulation,50–70 km apart from the slope break,tends to weaken the cyclonic boundary circulation in the western and northern boundaries as well as the southwestern *** trend is similar to the observed decadal weakening in the North Atlantic deep ***,the findings of this study reveal that the variation of the deep SCS circulation has a remarkable response to the climate *** mechanisms responsible for the variation are worth pursuing if more observations are available.

软腐病是魔芋栽培中危害最为严重的病害之一。为了明确引起六盘水地区魔芋软腐病的病原菌种类及其侵染特性,从7个魔芋产区采集病害材料,对分离到的16株病株病原菌进行形态学观察、16S rDNA分子生物学、生理生化、生物学特性和侵染特性分析。结果表明,16株病株的病原菌为海芋果胶杆菌(Pectobacteriumaroidearum)和方中达迪克氏菌(Dickeya fangzhongdai),其中***分离率高达81.25%,是六盘水地区魔芋软腐病主要病原菌;2种病原菌对魔芋叶柄和叶片的侵染速度快于球茎,同时还能引起番茄、甘薯、胡萝卜、西葫芦、马铃薯和萝卜等植物组织腐烂;***在28~35℃范围内能快速增殖和侵染魔芋,最适生长和侵染温度为30℃,***在20~30℃时增殖和侵染最快,最适生长和侵染温度为28℃。

How the microenvironment dominated by the distance effect to regulate the FeN_(4)site ORR activity and selectivity?

The distance effect of the doped heteroatoms away from the catalytic centers has rarely been *** this work,we conducted density functional theory calculations to thoroughly investigate the influence of heteroatom(N,P,B,and S atoms)doping distance on the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)activity of graphene-based FeN_(4)*** uncovered a Sabatier-like relationship between heteroatom doping distance and ORR activity of FeN_(4)*** nearest doping does not significantly improve and even block the ORR activity of FeN_(4)*** ORR activity is achieved when the heteroatoms are 4-5Å(N,P,and S atoms)or 6-7Å(B atoms)away from the Fe *** of electronic structure indicates that distance effect can modulate the local chemical environment of Fe atoms,thereby account for the changes in ORR activity along with the doping distance and doping *** study provides insights into the influence of heteroatom doping on the chemical environment of reaction active centers,and provides the theoretical guidance for controlling the doping distance of heteroatoms to achieve optimal catalytic activity and selectivity.

Warming and depth convergence of the Arctic Intermediate Water in the Canada Basin during 1985–2006

The warming of the Arctic Intermediate Water （AIW） is studied based on the analyses of hydro- graphic observations in the Canada Basin of the Arctic Ocean during 1985-2006. It is shown that how the anomalously warm AIW spreads in the Canada Basin during the observation time through the analysis of the AIW temperature spatial distribution in different periods. The results indicate that by 2006, the entire Canada Basin has almost been covered by the warming AIW. In order to study interannual variability of the AIW in the Canada Basin, the Canada Basin is divided into five regions according to the bottom topography. From the interannual variation of AIW temperature in each region, it is shown that a cooling period follows after the warming event in upstream regions. At the Chukchi Abyssal Plain and Chukchi Plateau, upstream of the Arctic Circumpolar Boundary Current （ACBC） in the Canada Basin, the AIW temperature reached maximum and then started to fall respectively in 2000 and 2002. However, the AIW in the Canada Abyssal Plain and Beaufort Sea continues to warm monotonically until the year 2006. Furthermore, it is revealed that there is convergence of the AIW depth in the five different regions of the Canada Basin when the AIW warming occurs during observation time. The difference of AIW depth between the five regions of the Canada Basin is getting smaller and smaller, all approaching 410 m in recent years. The results show that depth convergence is related to the variation of AIW potential density in the Canada Basin.
