Critical tectonic events and their geological controls on deep buried coalbed methane accumulation in Daning-Jixian Block, eastern Ordos Basin

Commercial exploration and development of deep buried coalbed methane (CBM) in Daning-Jixian Block, eastern margin of Ordos Basin, have rapidly increased in recent decades. Gas content, saturation and well productivity show significant heterogeneity in this area. To better understand the geological controlling mechanism on gas distribution heterogeneity, the burial history, hydrocarbon generation history and tectonic evolution history were studied by numerical simulation and experimental simulation, which could provide guidance for further development of CBM in this area. The burial history of coal reservoir can be classified into six stages, i.e., shallowly buried stage, deeply burial stage, uplifting stage, short-term tectonic subsidence stage, large-scale uplifting stage, sustaining uplifting and structural inversion stage. The organic matter in coal reservoir experienced twice hydrocarbon generation. Primary and secondary hydrocarbon generation processes were formed by the Early and Middle Triassic plutonic metamorphism and Early Cretaceous regional magmatic thermal metamorphism, respectively. Five critical tectonic events of the Indosinian, Yanshanian and Himalayan orogenies affect different stages of the CBM reservoir accumulation process. The Indosinian orogeny mainly controls the primary CBM generation. The Yanshanian Orogeny dominates the second gas generation and migration processes. The Himalayan orogeny mainly affects the gas dissipation process and current CBM distribution heterogeneity.

Colonic tubular duplication combined with congenital megacolon:A case report

BACKGROUND Colonic duplication refers to a spherical or tubular cavity which shows similar properties with the native colon and is attached to the mesenteric side of the alimentary tract.It is the rarest in alimentary tract duplications.Based upon anatomic feature,colonic duplications can be classified as spherical(cystic)or tubular,with the latter being less common(approximately 20%).Symptoms of colonic duplication are dependent on the duplication site and extent,and patient age,etc.Usually,patients with colonic duplication manifest typical intestinal obstruction,potentially accompanied by recurrent dark or bright red bloody stool,varying degrees of anemia-related symptoms,and body wasting.CASE SUMMARY A young male patient was admitted to our hospital due to recurrent abdominal pain.No definite diagnosis was achieved by computed tomography(CT)or electronic colonoscopy,and the bowel preparation efficacy was suboptimal.Hirschsprung disease was suspected,and thus laparoscopic exploration was performed.An approximately 60-cm-long inverted duplicated colon with severe edema and dilation was identified.It originated from the mesenteric side of the transverse colon and ended in the terminal part of the descending colon with a blind end.The parallel native colon had a thickened colonic wall,became stiff,and was poor in peristalsis.The patient then underwent subtotal colectomy and was discharged 7 d after the surgery.From 3 mo post-surgery to date,the patient had regular bowel movement once daily and a steady increase in body weight.CONCLUSION Tubular colonic duplication is a rare type of alimentary tract duplication that can be detected by ultrasonography,CT,or magnetic resonance imaging based on the actual clinical situation.Surgical resection of aberrant colon(including the duplicated colonic segment and other potentially involved colonic segments)is the only approach to cure this medical condition.

The influence of slope collapse on water exchange between a pit lake and a heterogeneous aquifer

Due to the increase in open pit mining,pit lakes have become common surface water features,posing a potential risk to subsurface aquifer.In this study,a pit lake–groundwater interaction model is built based on the general program MODFLOW with the LAK3 package.For the first time,the effects of lake-slope collapse and aquifer heterogeneity on pit lake–groundwater interactions are analyzed by dividing the lake into six water exchange zones based on the aquifer lithology and groundwater level.Our investigation and simulations reveal a total water exchange from groundwater to the lake of 349000 m3/a without collapse of the pit lake slope,while the total net water exchange under slope collapse conditions is 248000 m3/a(i.e.,a reduction of 1.40-fold).The monthly net water exchange per unit width from groundwater to the lake reaches the largest in April,shifting to negative values in zone IV from June to August and in zone V in June and July.Moreover,the monthly net water exchange per unit width decreases from north to south,and the direction and magnitude of water exchange are found to depend on the hydraulic gradients between the lake and groundwater and the hydraulic conductivity of the slope collapse.

Intestinal malrotation complicated with gastric cancer: A case report

BACKGROUND Intestinal malrotation is a congenital defect of embryonic development caused by various teratogenic factors.In this condition,the intestinal tube,along with the superior mesenteric artery serving as the axis for the counterclockwise movement,is incomplete or abnormally rotated due to incomplete attachment of the mesentery and abnormal intestinal tube position.Such a case is usually asymp-tomatic and thus difficult to detect.Therefore,similar variant malformations are only found during an operation required for other abdominal diseases.CASE SUMMARY An elderly male patient was admitted to the hospital due to gastric cancer.An abdominal computed tomography(CT)scan with contrast revealed that the ascending and descending colon were parallel on the right side of the abdominal cavity,while the sigmoid colon extended into the right iliac fossa,allowing the diagnosis of congenital midgut malrotation.Following thorough preoperative preparation,the patient underwent laparoscopic radical gastrectomy to treat his gastric cancer.Intraoperatively,an exploration of the abdominal cavity uncovered the absence of the transverse colon.The distal colon at the hepatic flexure,along with the ascending colon,extended into the right iliac fossa,where it continued as the sigmoid colon.As planned,the laparoscopic radical gastrectomy was perform-ed,and the patient was discharged from the hospital 7 d after the surgery.CONCLUSION Asymptomatic intestinal malrotation is best detected by CT,requiring no treatment but possibly interfering with the treatment of other diseases.

轴截面加工廓形的精确计算是螺旋特征加工的一个重要问题。不同于常规的解析法、离散法或布尔运算法等都在三维图形空间内进行求解,从可视化角度将空间几何问题映射到图像空间,提出了一种基于Open GL图形渲染隐含计算的计算方法。首先,对螺旋特征成型加工的数学模型进行构建;然后,对螺旋特征轴截面加工空间的渲染计算原理从图形空间到图形空间的关系进行解析;随后,对计算的完整实现方案分别从图形空间与图像空间之间的映射关系、几何模型空间相交像素信息渲染表征实现以及轴截面廓形的最终解析提取进行研究,并给完整的计算实现框架与流程性函数组。最后以锥铣刀的螺旋槽铣削加工为例,进行了轴截面加工廓形的计算,并通过与解析解进行比验证了所提方法的有效性。

Efficacy and Safety of COX-2 Inhibitor Parecoxib for Rigid Cystoscopyrelated Pain Management in Male Patients:A Prospective,Randomized and Controlled Study

Using anesthetic gel may not sufficiently exclude pain perception during and after cystoscopy in male patients.To evaluate the analgesic efficacy and safety of intramuscular parecoxib(40 mg)for outpatient-based rigid cystoscopy,we performed a prospective,randomized and controlled study.Consecutive male patients requiring diagnostic cystoscopy in our hospital were divided into group A(1%tetracaine gel,n=50)and group B(parecoxib,n^5l)at random.Patients received intramuscular injections of either 2 mL sterile saline in group A or 40 mg parecoxib in group B 30 min before the procedure.Tetracaine gel was injected into the urethra 3 min before the procedure in group A,with patients receiving plain lubricant gel in group B at the same time.Cystoscopy-associated pain levels were evaluated using the Visual Analog Score(VAS)during the procedure.Post-procedure urethral pain and complications were recorded and analyzed.The results showed that male patients experienced significantly less pain in group B than in group A(2.70±1.36 V5.3.56±1.74,P=0.008).The percentage of patients with dysuria pain was not significantly different between the two groups.In addition,24 h after cystoscopy,the patients with no previous experience of cystoscopy were more likely to declare urethral pain(59.2%vs.33.3%,P=0.012,relative risk=1.78).No difference was observed in analgesic-related complications between the two groups.We conclude that intramuscular injection of 40 mg parecoxib may improve comfort for male patients undergoing rigid cystoscopy.

Detection of astrophysical gravitational wave sources by TianQin and LISA

TianQin and LISA are space-based laser interferometer gravitational wave(GW)detectors planned to be launched in the mid-2030s.Both detectors will detect low-frequency GWs around 10^(-2)Hz;however,Tian Qin is more sensitive to frequencies above this common sweet-spot while LISA is more sensitive to frequencies below 10^(-2)Hz.Therefore,Tian Qin and LISA will be able to detect the same sources but with different accuracy depending on the source and its parameters.We consider some of the most important astrophysical sources—massive black hole binaries,stellar-mass black hole binaries,double white dwarfs,extreme mass ratio inspirals,light and heavy intermediate mass ratio inspirals,as well as the stochastic gravitational background of astrophysical origin—that Tian Qin and LISA will be able to detect.For each of these sources,we analyze how far they can be detected(detection distance)and how well their parameters can be measured(detection accuracy)using a Fisher Matrix analysis.We compare the results obtained by the three detection scenarios(Tian Qin alone,LISA alone,and joint detection by LISA and Tian Qin)highlighting the gains from joint detection as well as the contribution of Tian Qin and LISA to a combined study of astrophysical sources.In particular,we consider the different orientations,lifetimes,and duty cycles of the two detectors to explore how they can give a more complete picture when working together.

Boron-rich layer removal and surface passivation of boron-doped p–n silicon solar cells

In boron-doped p+-n crystalline silicon（Si） solar cells, p-type boron doping control and surface passivation play a vital role in the realization of high-efficiency and low cost pursuit. In this study, boron-doped p+-emitters are formed by boron diffusion in an open-tube furnace using borontribromide（BBr3） as precursor. The formed emitters are characterized in detail in terms of shape of the doping profile, surface doping concentration, junction depth, sheet resistance and removal of the boron-rich layer（BRL）. In the aspect of BRL removal, three different methods were adopted to investigate their influence on device performance. The results demonstrate that our proposed chemical etch treatment（CET） with the proper etching time could be an effective way to remove the BRL.After removal of the BRL, Al;O;/SiN;stacks are deposited by atomic layer deposition（ALD） and plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition（PECVD） to passivate the cell surface. It was found that a reasonably-high implied Voc of 680 mV has been achieved for the fabricated n-type Si solar cells.

miR-99a-5p inhibits target gene FZD5 expression and steroid hormone secretion from goat ovarian granulosa cells

MicroRNA(miRNA) has vital regulatory effects on the proliferation, differentiation and secretion of ovarian granulosa cells, but the role of miR-99a-5p in goat ovarian granulosa cells(GCs) is unclear. Both miR-99a-5p and Frizzled-5(FZD5) were found to be expressed in GCs in goat ovaries via fluorescence in situ hybridization and immunohistochemistry, respectively, and FZD5 was verified(P<0.001) as a target gene of miR-99a-5p by double luciferase reporter gene experiments. Furthermore, FZD5 mRNA and protein expression were both found to be regulated(P<0.05) by miR-99a-5p in GCs. Moreover, the overexpression of miR-99a-5p or knockdown of FZD5 suppressed(P<0.05) estradiol and progesterone secretion from the GCs, as determined by ELISA. In summary, miR-99a-5p inhibits target gene FZD5 expression and estradiol and progesterone synthesis in GCs. Our study thus provides seminal data and new insights into the regulatory mechanisms of follicular development in the goat and other animals.

Profiling and identification of aqueous extract of Cordyceps sinensis by ultra-high performance liquid chromatography tandem quadrupole-orbitrap mass spectrometry

Characterization of aqueous extract in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) is challenging due to the poor retention of the analytes on conventional C18 columns. This study presents a systematic characterization method based on a rapid chromatographic separation(8 min) on a polar-modified C18(Waters Cortecs T3) column of aqueous extract of Cordyceps sinensis. UHPLC-HRMS method was used to profile components in both untargeted and targeted manners by full MS/PIL/dd-MS2 acquisition approach. The components were identified or tentatively identified by reference standards comparison, fragmentation rules elucidation and available databases search. A total of 91 components, including 10 nucleobases, 20 nucleosides, 39 dipeptides, 18 amino acids and derivatives and 4 other components, were characterized from the aqueous extract of C. sinensis. And this was the first time to systematically report the presence of nucleosides and dipeptides in C. sinensis, especially for modified nucleosides. The chemical basis inquiry of this work would be beneficial to mechanism exploration and quality control of C. sinensis and related products. Meanwhile, this work also provided an effective solution for characterization of aqueous extract in TCM.
