Leaching behavior and microstructure of phosphorus in converter slag

Converter slag is a by-product of the steelmaking process and contains a large amount of Ca,Fe,P and other *** the phosphorus in the converter slag can be effectively extracted,the resulting phosphorus can be used as a phosphate *** in converter slag is mainly enriched in 2CaO·SiO_(2)-3CaO·P_(2)O_(5)(C_(2)S-C_(3)P)solid solution and is easily dissolved in ***,acid leaching method was used to dissolve the solid solution to extract phosphorus in converter slag,so as to realize the recycling of phosphorus resources in converter *** leaching behavior of three actual converter slags from different steel mills in acid leaching solutions composed of citric acid,sodium hydroxide,hydrochloric acid and deionized water was studied by X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy combined with energy dispersive spectrometry,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy to reveal the change in object image structure as well as SiO_(4) and PO_(4) tetrahedron before and after acid *** results show that only a small amount of phosphorus in converter slag with too low basicity is enriched in C_(2)S-C_(3)P solid solution,resulting in poor leaching *** the converter slag has a high basicity,the removal effect of phosphorus is 70.64%-81.88%.In addition,when the basicity of converter slag is roughly the same,the dephosphorization effect of slag with high FeO content is relatively *** acid leaching will cause depolymerization behavior of SiO_(4) and PO_(4) tetrahedron,so that the mole fraction of Q0(Si)(asymmetric stretching vibration of Si-O bond in SiO_(4) tetrahedron with bridge oxygen number of 0)and NBO/Si(non-bridging oxygen in silicate tetrahedra)will ***-containing solids can be obtained from the solution after acid leaching through static precipitation,and the solids have the potential to make phosphate fertilizers.

Advanced rare earth tantalate RETaO_(4)(RE=Dy,Gd and Sm) with excellent oxygen/thermal barrier performance

Thermal barrier coatings(TBCs) materials with lowered the rmal and oxygen ion conductivity can provide thermal and oxidative protection for high te mperature hot-end components in aero nautical engines and gas turbines,The rare-earth tantalate RETaO_(4)(RE=Dy,Gd and Sm) ceramics with monoclinic(m) phase were successfully synthesized via spark plasma *** vacancies responsible for the thermal and oxygen ion conductivities of RETaO_(4) were demonstrated by atomic-resolution energy dispersive Xray and X-ray photoelectron *** the three samples,DyTaO_(4) has excellent oxygen/thermal barrier *** to the current service thermal barrier coating material ZrO_(2)-8 wt% Y_(2)O_(3)(8 YSZ),DyTaO_(4) has an ultra-low oxygen ion conductivity benefiting from low oxygen vacancy concentration and strong stretching force *** intrinsic thermal conductivity of DyTaO_(4)is 68.2% less than that of 8 ***,the thermal expansion rate curves indicate that the phase transformation does not happen from room te mperature to 1200℃.The above results demonstrate that high-growth rate the rmally grown oxide can be retarded by creating dense DyTaO_(4) coating with lowered thermal and oxygen ion conductivity.

Traditional carbon fiber-reinforced polymers based on thermoset matrix have been extensively used in the fields of wind turbine blades,automotive sector,and aerospace,among many ***,there is still a major challenge of recycling those polymers due to the high cost and adverse impacts on the *** this work,we apply a polyimine network as matrix,which possess considerable tensile and thermal properties,to prepare the carbon fiber reinforced polyimine materials with trifluoromethyl diphenoxybenzene units(CFRFP)using a prepreg-based compression molding *** CFRFP can be reshaped or reprocessed by heat or with water rapidly,and exhibited multifunction,including welding,chemical recycling,*** unique findings gained from our study will facilitate the manufacturing capability and enrich the types of fiber-reinforced composites.

The Observed Near-Surface Energy Exchange Processes over Arctic Glacier in Summer

Under Arctic warming,near-surface energy transfers have significantly changed,but few studies have focused on energy exchange over Arctic glacier due to limitations in available *** this study,the atmospheric energy exchange processes over the Arctic glacier surface were analyzed by using observational data obtained in summer 2019 in comparison with those over the Arctic tundra *** energy budget over the glacier greatly differed from that over the tundra,characterized by less net shortwave radiation and downward sensible heat flux,due to the high albedo and icy *** of the incoming solar radiation was injected into the glacier in summer,leading to snow ice *** the observation period,strong daily variations in near-surface heat transfer occurred over the Arctic glacier,with the maximum downward and upward heat fluxes occurring on 2 and 6 July 2019,*** analyses suggested that the maximum downward heat flux is mainly caused by the strong local thermal contrast above the glacier surface,while the maximum upward heat transfer cannot be explained by the classical turbulent heat transfer theory,possibly caused by countergradient heat *** results indicated that the near-surface energy exchange processes over Arctic glacier may be strongly related to local forcings,but a more in-depth investigation will be needed in the future when more observational data become available.

Hyperuricemia,a metabolic disorder related to uric acid metabolism dysregulation,has become a common metabolic disease worldwide,due to changes in lifestyle and dietary *** recent years,owing to their high activity and few adverse effects,food-derived active peptides used as functional foods against hyperuricemia have attracted increasing *** article aims to focus on the challenge associated with peptide-specific preparation methods development,functional components identification,action mechanism(s)clarification,and bioavailability *** current review proposed recent advances in producing the food-derived peptides with high anti-hyperuricemia activity by protein source screening and matched enzymatic hydrolysis condition adjusting,increased the knowledge about strategies to search antihyperuricemia peptides with definite structure,and emphasized the necessity of combining computer-aided approaches and activity *** addition,novel action mechanism mediated by gut microbiota was discussed,providing different insights from classical ***,considering that little attention was paid previously on the structure-activity relationships of anti-hyperuricemia peptides,we collected the sequences from published studies and make a preliminary summary about the structure-activity relationships,which in turn provided guides for enzymatic hydrolysis optimization and bioavailability ***,this article could promote the development,application and commercialization of food-derived anti-hyperuricemia peptides in the future.

Effect of heat treatment on the microstructure, mechanical properties and fracture behaviors of ultra-high-strength SiC/Al–Zn–Mg–Cu composites

A high-zinc composite, 12vol% SiC/Al–13.3 Zn–3.27 Mg–1.07Cu(wt%), with an ultra-high-strength of 781 MPa was successfully fabricated through a powder metallurgy method, followed by an extrusion process. The effects of solid-solution and aging heat treatments on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the composite were extensively investigated. Compared with a single-stage solid-solution treatment, a two-stage solid-solution treatment(470°C/1 h + 480°C/1 h) exhibited a more effective solid-solution strengthening owing to the higher degree of solid-solution and a more uniform microstructure. According to the aging hardness curves of the composite, the optimized aging parameter(100°C/22 h) was determined. Reducing the aging temperature and time resulted in finer and more uniform nanoscale precipitates but only yielded a marginal increase in tensile strength. The fractography analysis revealed that intergranular cracking and interface debonding were the main fracture mechanisms in the ultra-high-strength SiC/Al–Zn–Mg–Cu composites. Weak regions, such as the SiC/Al interface containing numerous compounds and the precipitate-free zones at the high-angle grain boundaries,were identified as significant factors limiting the strength enhancement of the composite. Interfacial compounds, including MgO, MgZn2,and Cu5Zn8, reduced the interfacial bonding strength, leading to interfacial debonding.

Photonics integration of an optoelectronic oscillator(OEO)on a chip is attractive for fabricating low cost,compact,low power consumption,and highly reliable microwave sources,which has been demonstrated recently in silicon on insulator(SOI)and indium phosphide(InP)platforms at X-band around 8 *** we demonstrate the first integration of OEOs on the thin film lithium niobate(TFLN)platform,which has the advantages of lower Vπ,no chirp,wider frequency range,and less sensitivity to *** have successfully realized two different OEOs operating at Ka-band,with phase noises even lower than those of the X-band OEOs on SOI and InP *** is a fixed frequency OEO at 30 GHz realized by integrating a mach–Zehnder modulator(MZM)with an add-drop microring resonator(MRR),and the other is a tunable frequency OEO at 20–35 GHz realized by integrating a phase modulator(PM)with a notch *** work marks the first step of using TFLN to fabricate integrated OEOs with high frequency,small size,low cost,wide range tunability,and potentially low phase noise.

Ternary strategy with a suitable third component is a successful strategy to improve the photovoltaic performance of organic solar cells(OSCs).Very recently,Y-series based giant molecule acceptors or oligomerized acceptors have emerged as promising materials for achieving highly efficient and stable binary OSCs,while application as third component for ternary OSCs is *** a novelπ-extended giant dimeric acceptor,GDF,is developed based on central Y series core fusion and rigid BDT as linker,and then incorporated into the state-of-the-art PM1:PC6 system to construct ternary *** GDF has a near planar backbone,resulting in increasedπ-conjugation,excellent crystallinity,and good electron transport *** GDF is introduced into the PM1:PC6 system,it ensues in a cascade like the lowest unoccupied molecular orbitals(LUMO)energy level alignment,a complementary absorption band with PM1 and PC6,higher and balanced hole and electron mobility,slightly smaller domain size,and a higher exciton dissociation probability for PM1:PC6:GDF(1:1.1:0.1)blend *** a consequence,the PM1:PC6:GDF(1:1.1:0.1)ternary OSC achieves a champion PCE of 19.22%,with a significantly higher open-circuit voltage and short-circuit current density,compared to 18.45%for the PM1:PC6(1:1.2)binary *** findings show that employing aπ-extended giant dimeric acceptor as a third component significantly improves the photovoltaic performance of ternary OSCs.

Achieving high strength and rapid degradation in Mg-Gd-Ni alloys by regulating LPSO phase morphology combined with extrusion

In this study,Mg-13.2Gd-4.3Ni alloys containing continuous bulk-shaped long-period stacking ordered(LPSO),lamellar LPSO,and a small amount of eutectic phase were prepared,and the evolution of microstructure at different extrusion temperatures and its influence on mechanical and degradation properties as well as corrosion mechanism were *** before extrusion can effectively promote the precipitation of lamellar LPSO in ***400 with higher volume fraction of non-DRXed grains exhibited higher strength,which was mainly due to strong texture,high dislocation density,and high volume fraction of lamellar *** EX420 with higher volume fraction of DRXed grains showed higher degradation rate,which was mainly due to the higher density of grain *** EX400 exhibited excellent comprehensive properties with tensile yield strength(TYS)of 334 MPa,ultimate tensile strength(UTS)of 484 MPa and elongation(EL)of 7.4%,ultimate compressive strength(UCS)of 638 MPa and compressive yield strength(CYS)of 443 MPa,degradation rate of 86.1 mg/cm^(2)/h at 93℃in 3 wt.%KCl solution.

Impact of sedimentary environmental evolution on organic matter enrichment in Upper Paleozoic marine–continental transitional shales in the Shenfu Block， eastern Ordos Basin， China: evidence from geochemistry

The shale gas exploration of marine-continental transitional facies has gained great attention in China， which is viewed as another breakthrough following the marine shale gas prior to continental shale gas. The Upper Paleozoic marine-continental transitional shales have high TOC abundance with large total thickness in the eastern Ordos Basin， progressively becoming a favorable area for exploration of transitional shale gas. Nevertheless， compared with the relatively homogeneous marine shales， the marine-continental transitional shales demonstrated strong anisotropy in the aspects of thickness， lithology and organic matter (OM). Thus， in this paper， based on the trace element and rock-eval data， we investigated the sedimentary facies， provenance， paleoclimate， paleobathymetry， and redox condition， as well as their controls on the enrichment of organic matter in the Shenfu Block， eastern Ordos basin. The results of trace element experiments indicate that the paleoenvironment of the Ordos Basin underwent a transition from a marine to a continental environment， evolving from the Benxi Formation of the Carboniferous system to the Upper Shihezi Formation of the Permian system. The provenance area is characterised by the presence of high iron and high magnesium feldspar， with a medium degree of weathering. The paleoclimate experienced alternating periods of dry heat， relatively warm wet conditions， and dry heat. The paleowater depth decreased along the sedimentary profile. With regard to the REDOX environment index， the Taiyuan Formation is the stratum exhibiting the highest degree of reduction. The detection criteria for biomarkers were found to be consistent with the inorganic geochemical characteristics. The relationship between various trace elements and TOC indicates that redox conditions are the primary factors influencing the accumulation of organic matter in transitional shale.
