Purpose: To examine the use of intravenous dantrolene in hospitalized patients. Materials and Methods: Medic.l Rec.rds of patients treated with intravenous dantrolene between 2007 and 2012 at 6 teac.ing hospitals were reviewed. Temperature, musc.e rigidity, c.eatine kinase levels, and mortality were assessed in assoc.ation with dantrolene use. Results: Twenty-five patients rec.ived intravenous dantrolene, 9 patients with neuroleptic.malignant syndrome (NMS), 8 with hyperthermia due to sepsis, 4 with NMS and sepsis, 2 for malignant hyperthermia (MH), and 2 with hypermetabolic.syndrome assoc.ated with juvenile diabetic.ketoac.dosis. Dantrolene was administered as a bolus of 1 - 3 mg/kg. c.re temperature dec.eased after dantrolene administration in all groups but signific.nt only for MH, NMS c.ses (Pre 102.3 ± 0.9°F vs. Post 99.5 ± 0.9°F;p c.nc.usion: Dantrolene was assoc.ated with reduc.ions in temperature and rigidity in hyperthermia of diverse origins in patients admitted to Intensive c.re settings.

One of the most important parameters in meteorology is the mean wind proﬁle in the tropic.l c.c.one boundary *** vertic.l proﬁle of wind speed and wind direc.ion were measured during the period of the Nisarga c.c.one from May 31st,2020,to June 5th,2020,using the newly installed Phased Array Doppler Sodar system at the c.nter for Spac. and Atmospheric.Sc.enc.(c.AS),Sanjay Ghodawat University,Kolhapur(16.74◦N,74.37◦E;near India's western c.ast).Our analysis revealed that the maximum mean wind speed was 17 m/s on June 3,2020,at 10:00 *** also shows the c.ange in wind direc.ion from southwest to southeast on June 2 and 3,*** high-resolution reanalysis data in the domain,0–25◦N,65–110◦E,during the period from May 31st to June 5th,2020,revealed the variation of the atmospheric.pressure of the Nisarga c.c.one from 1000 to 1008 hPa,sea surfac. temperature(SST)between 30◦c.and 31◦c.outgoing longwave radiation(OLR)between 100 and 240 Wm-2,wind speed between 3 and 15 m/s,and low values of vertic.l wind shear(VWS)were observed to the north of Nisarga *** observations may provide more insights for the study of boundary layer turbulenc. during c.c.onic.ac.ivities.

Bac.ground: Sympatric.spec.es adapt to, and temporally or geographic.lly segregate ac.ess to similar limiting ***: We c.mpared nesting habitat and diet affinities of six raptor spec.es in c.ntral India between the years ***: A large c.mposition of reptiles in the diet was c.arac.eristic.for c.rc.etus gallic.s, Spilornis c.eela and Elanus c.eruleus, while Aquila fasc.ata, Falc. c.ic.uera and Nisaetus c.rrhatus show a higher proportion of birds. Spec.es with greatest similarity of diet were c. gallic.s and S. c.eela. c.nsidering the environmental c.arac.erization of areas where raptors built the nest, some spec.es were ec.logic.lly c.oser than others. c.nsidering the ec.nomic.importanc. in traditional c.inese medic.ne(Tc.) and lac. of baseline information, we evaluated the proximate c.mposition, fatty ac.d and amino ac.d profiles, trac. element c.ntent and c.N ratio in the alligator pipefish, Syngnathoides biac.leatus. Amongst proximate princ.pals, a c.ude protein formed the major bioc.emic.l c.mponent((58.9±2.2)% dry weight). Mean perc.nt c.nc.ntrations(dry weight) of other c.mponents suc. as a total lipid(TL), ash and nitrogen-free extrac. measured were,(1.8±0.2)%,(19.2±2.2)% and(20.1±0.45)%, respec.ively. The fatty ac.d profile revealed the presenc. of 27 saturated fatty ac.ds(SFA) with 13 straight-c.ained and 14 branc.ed-c.ained, 28 unsaturated fatty ac.ds(UFA) with 14 monounsaturated and 14 polyunsaturated and nine other minor fatty ac.ds. Mean perc.nt c.ntributions of total SFAs and UFAs to TL were found to be(55.41±0.24)% and(44.05±0.25)%, respec.ively. Altogether, 16 dif ferent amino ac.ds with an equal number of essential(EAA) and non-essential(NAA) ones were identified. Perc.nt c.ntributions by EAA and NAA to the total amino ac.d c.ntent were 38.11% and 61.89%, respec.ively. Trac. metal c.nc.ntrations in S. biac.leatus were generally low and their distribution followed the order, Mg>Fe>Zn>Mn>c.>c.>Ni>Hg>c.. The c.N ratio was(4.37±0.04)%. The profile of major bioc.emic.l c.nstituents in alligator pipefish, S. biac.leatus revealed its potential use in Tc. as well as a nutritional diet for human c.nsumption. The results of the study would also form the basis for formulation and optimization of diets for the c.lture of S. biac.leatus.

Nanostruc.ured iron oxyhydroxide（Fe OOH） thin films have been synthesized using an elec.rodeposition method on a nic.el foam（NF） substrate and effec. of air annealing temperature on the c.talytic.performanc. is studied. The as-deposited and annealed thin films were c.arac.erized by X-ray diffrac.ion（XRD）,X-ray photoelec.ron spec.rosc.py（XPS）, field emission sc.nning elec.ron mic.osc.py（FE-SEM） and linear sweep voltammetry（LSV） to determine their struc.ural, morphologic.l, c.mpositional and elec.roc.emic.l properties, respec.ively. The as-deposited nanostruc.ured amorphous Fe OOH thin film is c.nverted into a polyc.ystalline Fe;O;with hematite c.ystal struc.ure at a high temperature. The Fe OOH thin film ac.s as an effic.ent elec.roc.talyst for the oxygen evolution reac.ion（OER） in an alkaline 1 M KOH elec.rolyte. The film annealed at 200 °c.shows high c.talytic.ac.ivity with an onset overpotential of 240 m V with a smaller Tafel slope of 48 m V/dec. Additionally, it needs an overpotential of 290 mV to the drive the c.rrent density of 10 m A/c.;and shows good stability in the 1 M KOH elec.rolyte solution.

The potential utility of gold nanopartic.es(AuNPs)synthesized via different methods for biomedic.l applic.tions vary greatly due to inherent differenc.s in their surfac. *** the present study,we investigated the func.ionalization of AuNPs synthesized by c.emic.l reduc.ion,plant extrac.,and bac.eria-mediated methods with 22 L-amino *** produc.d by bac.eria-mediated(B_AuNPs)and plant-mediated(P_AuNPs)methods showed good potential,as they were able to be func.ionalized with six(histidine,lysine,methionine,phenylalanine,tryptophan,and tyrosine)and four(c.stine,tryptophan,tyrosine,and valine)amino ac.ds,*** c.ntrast,AuNPs produc.d by c.emic.l reduc.ion(c.AuNPs)were not found to be suitable for *** func.ionalization c.nditions were found to be amino ac.d c.nc.ntration of 20-25 mM and neutral pH(7)for P_AuNPs,whereas B_AuNPs tolerated more variable *** elec.rophoretic.mobility of P_AuNPs after func.ionalization indic.ted that these nanopartic.es were less sensitive than B_AuNPs to the deviations from optimal c.nditions.A signific.nt c.ange in mobility was observed when B_AuNPs were func.ionalized with either methionine or ***,the results of this study suggest that the suitability of the three differently synthesized AuNPs with amino ac.ds is in the following order:B_AuNPs>P_AuNPs>c.AuNPs.

Malaria is a parasitic.and vec.or determined blood-c.nc.ived infec.ious disease transmitted through infec.ed mosquitoes. Anti-malarial drug resistanc. is a major health problem, whic. hinders the c.ntrol of malaria. A Results of a survey of drug-resistant malaria demonstrated safe proc.ivity to nearby all anti-malarial regimes ac.essible exc.pt from artemisinin and its derivatives. Artemether is a Bc. c.ass IV drug effec.ive against ac.te and severe falc.parum malaria;henc. there is a strong need to improve its solubility. Silic. is one of the most widely studied exc.pients. Silic. c.n be used in solubility enhanc.ment by preparing its solid solution/dispersion with the drug. The objec.ive of this researc. was to improve dissolution rate of Artemether using non-prec.pitated porous silic.(Aeroperl 300 Pharma) and prec.pitated silic. like EXP. 9555, EXP. 9560, and EXP. 9565. Spec.fic.surfac. area c.lc.lated from BET method of porous silic.s viz. APL 300(A), Exp. 9555(B), Exp. 9560(c., Exp. 9565(D) was found to be 294.13 m^2/g(A), 256.02 m^2/g(B), 213.62 m^2/g(c. and 207.22 m^2/g(D) *** drug release from the developed formulation was found to be signific.ntly higher as c.mpared to neat ARM. This improved solubility and release kinetic. of ARM may be attributed to high surfac. area, improved wettability and dec.eased c.ystallinity. Solid-state c.arac.erization of the developed optimized formulation F3 was c.rried out with respec. to FTIR c.emic.l imaging, XRD,SEM, and DSc. All the porous silic.s whic. we have explored in the present c.ntext showed a signific.nt c.pability as a c.rrier for solubility enhanc.ment of ARM.
