What are the underlying causes and dynamics of land use conflicts in metropolitan junction areas?A case study of the central Chengdu–Chongqing region in China

Land use conflicts(LUCs),as a spatial manifestation of the conflicts in the human-land relationships,have a profound impact on regional sustainable *** China’s metropolitan junction areas(MJAs),the existence of“administrative district economies”has made the issue of LUCs more *** on a case study of the central Chengdu–Chongqing region,we conducted an exploratory spatial data analysis of the evolutionary process of regional ***,structural equation modeling was utilized to analyze the dynamic mechanism of LUCs in MJAs,with a particular emphasis on exploring the influences of administrative *** results showed that from 2.10 to 2.2.,LUCs in the central Chengdu–Chongqing region continued to worsen,and the spatial process conflict and spatial structure conflict indices increased by more than 30.0%.The intensification of LUCs in the central Chengdu–Chongqing region from 2.10 to 2.2. was mainly the result of the deterioration of conflicts in evaluation units with low conflict *** in China’s metropolitan areas generally presented a circular gradient distribution,weakening from the core to the periphery,but there were some strong isolated conflict zones in the outer *** in China’s MJAs were the result of interactions among multiple factors,e.g.,natural environment,socio-economic development,policy and institutional processes,and administrative boundary *** boundary affected the flow of socio-economic elements,changing the supply-and-demand competition of stakeholders for land resources,consequently exerting an indirect influence on *** study advances the theory of the dynamic mechanism of LUCs,and provides theoretical support for the governance of these conflicts in transboundary areas.

Turbulence is strongly associated with the vast majority of fluid flows in nature and ***,results given by the direct numerical simulation(DNS)of Navier-Stokes(NS)equations that relate to a famous millennium problem are widely regarded as‘reliable’benchmark solutions of turbulence,as long as grid spacing is fine enough(*** than the minimum Kolmogorov scale)and time-step is small enough,say,satisfying the Courant-Friedrichs-Lewy condition(Courant number<1).Is this really true?In this paper a two-dimensional sustained turbulent Kolmogorov flow driven by an external body force governed by the NS equations under an initial condition with a spatial symmetry is investigated numerically by the two numerical methods with detailed comparisons:one is the traditional DNS,the other is the‘clean numerical simulation’(CNS).In theory,the exact solution must have a kind of spatial symmetry since its initial condition is spatially ***,it is found that numerical noises of the DNS are quickly enlarged to the same level as the‘true’physical solution,which finally destroy the spatial symmetry of the flow *** other words,the DNS results of the turbulent Kolmogorov flow governed by the NS equations are badly polluted *** the contrary,the numerical noise of the CNS is much smaller than the‘true’physical solution of turbulence in a long enough interval of time so that the CNS result is very close to the‘true’physical solution and thus can remain symmetric,which can be used as a benchmark solution for ***,it is found that numerical noise as a kind of artificial tiny disturbances can lead to huge deviations at large scale on the two-dimensional Kolmogorov turbulence governed by the NS equations,not only quantitatively(even in statistics)but also qualitatively(such as spatial symmetry of flow).This highly suggests that fine enough spatial grid spacing with small enough time-step alone could not guarantee the validity of the DNS of

The occurrence, distribution, and rapid molecular detection technology of Heterodera zeae Koshy et al. 1971, have been reported in China. We explored the biological characteristics of H. zeae sampled in Henan Province, China to understand its interaction with plants. Cysts and second-stage juveniles(J2.) were identified under an optical and scanning electron microscope, internal transcribed spacer(ITS) phylogenetic tree, and sequence characterized amplified region(SCAR)-PCR analyses. The optimum hatching temperatures of H. zeae were 30°C and 2.°C, with cumulative hatching rates of 16.5 and 16.1%, respectively, at 30 days post-hatching(dph). The hatching rate of H. zeae eggs was improved by 2.-and 50-time maize soil leachate and root juice, and 10-time root exudates. The hatching rate in 10-time root exudates was the highest(2..9%). The 10-time root exudates of maize and millet produced the highest hatching rate at 30 dph(2..9 and 2..9%, respectively), followed by wheat(19.9%), barley(18.3%), and rice(17.6%). Heterodera zeae developed faster in maize than in other crops. Fourth-stage juveniles(J4s) were detected in maize roots 8 days post-inoculation(dpi) at 2.°C but not in other crops. Combined with hatching tests, the Huang–Huai–Hai summer maize region and the south and central-southwest mountainous maize areas are highly suitable for H. zeae in China. This is the first systematically study of the hatching and infection characteristics on different plant hosts of corn cyst nematode H. zeae in temperate regions. This study laid a theoretical foundation for the rapid spread and high environmental adaptability of corn cyst nematode.

The evolution of Ce-containing inclusions and its correlation with the reoxidation of liquid steel during protective atmosphere electroslag remelting(ESR)of heat-resistant steel were *** reoxidation of liquid steel took place during the ESR,resulting in the oxygen pickup from 0.0014 to 0.0053 wt.%.The inclusions in the consumable electrode,liquid metal pool and remelted ingot are Ce_(2.O_(2.S and Ce_(2.O,inclusions *** inclusions in the remelted ingot are originated from three ways:(I)the original inclusions from the electrode;(Il)the newly formed Ce_(2.O_(2.S and Ce_(2.O_(3) inclusions in the liquid metal pool by reoxidation remaining still in remelted ingot;(IlI)the newly generated Ce2.2. and Ce_(2.O_(3) inclusions during cooling and solidification of liquid *** relative proportions of Ce_(2.O_(3) inclusions in liquid metal pool and remelted ingot are 41% and 76.5%,*** inclusions ranging from 2.to 5μm in the remelted ingot take up 55%,followed by the inclusions smaller than 2.m(43%of total inclusions).The number proportion of the Ce_(2.0,inclusions in the liquid metal pool which were removed by floating up into slag is 1.96×10-5%.
