[18F]-FDDNP was synthesized and characterized as a positron-emitting probe to identify Alzheimer’s disease (AD) in transgenic mouse models (Tg2576 and dE9) expressing the AD pathology. We observed in in vitro, in vivo, and ex vivo studies that [18F]-FDDNP accumulated specifically in the Ab-overexpressing brain regions and that this accumulation was significantly reduced by co-incubation with non-radioactive FDDNP. In ex vivo and in vivo studies of brain sections, the retention of radioactivity was more specific in Tg2576 mice than in dE9 mice. Using in vitro, ex vivo, in vivo, and ELISA analyses, we characterized the utility of [18F]-FDDNP in mapping b-amyloid in the Tg2576 mouse brain, to assess its potential application in imaging strategies.

In this article,we propose a new algorithm and prove that the sequence generalized by the algorithm converges strongly to a common element of the set of fixed points for a quasi-pseudo-contractive mapping and a demi-contraction mapping and the set of zeros of monotone inclusion problems on Hadamard *** applications,we use our results to study the minimization problems and equilibrium problems in Hadamard manifolds.

Ring columns placed upstream of a bridge pier to protect it from local scouring are typical scouring countermeasures.A series of experiments are conducted under clear-water steady flow（V/V;≤1）with uniform *** parameters,such as ring column diameter,thickness,height,and distances between ring columns and the pier,are considered in the *** data are used to assess the influence of each parameter on pier scour *** results indicate that pores in ring columns provide space for energy dissipation of the downflow,hence,effectively reduce the flow energy impacting the downstream *** friction force of ring columns caused by their geometric shape reduces kinetic energy and pier scour *** general,it is found that the best pattern of ring columns reduce pier scour depth by 65%.

Photoactive complexes of nonprecious transition metals, mainly including those in the first-row and partially the second-row of the Periodic table of elements, have received increasing attention in view of their low cost and long-term sustainability. They are recognized as promising alternatives to noble transition metal complex congeners that have been extensively studied in optoelectronic devices, artificial photosynthesis, photocatalysis, biodiagnostics, and therapeutics, etc. This review is devoted to a comprehensive summary on the classical and recent advances on photoactive nonprecious transition metal complexes, including photoactive Zr, V, Cr, Mo, and W complexes, Mn complexes and hybrids, Fe, Co, Ni, and Cu complexes, and Zn and Cd complexes and hybrids. A particular focus is given on the molecular design, modulation of photophysical and photochemical properties, and applications of the representative and lately-developed nonprecious metal complexes. In addition, a perspective on the future development in this field is provided at the end of this review.

Titanium-based coagulation has proved to be effective for algae-laden micro-polluted water purification ***,the influence of algae inclusion in surface water treatment by titanium coagulation is barely *** study reports the influence of both Microcystis aeruginosa and Microcystis wesenbergii in surface water during polytitanium *** tests were performed to evaluate coagulation performance using both algae-free(controlled)and algae-laden water samples,and floc properties were studied using a laser diffraction particle size analyzer for online *** show that polytitanium coagulation can be highly effective in algae separation,removing up to 98%from surface ***,the presence of algae enhanced organic matter removal by up to 30%compared to controlled water containing only organic *** coagulation achieved significant removal of fluorescent organic materials and organic matter with a wide range of molecular weight distribution(693–4945 Da)even in the presence of algae species in surface *** presence of algae cells and/or algal organic matter is likely to function as an additional coagulant or flocculation aid,assisting polytitanium coagulation through adsorption and bridging *** the dominant coagulation mechanisms with polytitanium coagulant were influenced by the coagulant dosage and initial solution pH,algae species in surface water could enhance the charge neutralization capability of the polytitanium ***-rich flocs were also more prone to breakage with strength factors approximately 10%lower than those of algae-free *** structure of the flocs will require careful handling of the flocs during coagulation-sedimentation-filtration processes.

AIM:To study potential predictive factors for early radical resection in two-stage resection for left malignant colonic ***:Thirty-eight cases of left-sided obstructive colon cancer undergoing two-stage operations were reviewed between January 1998 and August *** were classified into two groups(n = 19 each):early radical resection(interval ≤ 10 d) and late radical resection(interval > 10 d).Baseline demographics,post-diversion outcome,perioperative data,tumor characteristics,outcome and complications were ***:The baseline demographics revealed no differences except for less pre-diversion sepsis in the early group(P < 0.001) and more obstruction days in the late group(P = 0.009).The mean intervals of early and late radical resections were 7.9 ± 1.3 d and 17.8 ± 5.5 d,respectively(P < 0.001).After diversion,the presence of bowel sounds,flatus,removal of the nasogastric tube and the resumption of oral feeding occurred earlier in the early *** operation time and duration of hospital stay were both significant reduced in the early *** rates did not differ between ***:The earlier recovery of bowel function seems to be predictive of early radical *** contrast,pre-diversion sepsis and more obstruction days were predictive of delayed radical resection.

Splenic tumors are rare. Differentiation of the tumors before operation is of great value regarding the outcome. A case of a 32-year-old man with a splenic inflammatory pseudotumor (IPT) mimicking splenic angiosarcoma is described. The tumor was highly suspected of being splenic angiosarcoma based on radiological findings preoperatively. However, after splenectomy, histopathological examinations revealed splenic IPT. Splenic IPT and angiosarcoma are rare and often pose diagnostic difficulties because the clinical and radiological fi ndings are obscure. Due to large differences in prognosis, we briefl y reviewed the clinical, radiological, and pathological features of both of the tumors.

Inter-regional emergency power dispatch refers to the mandatory fallback guarantee measures for ensuring supply or absorption of emergency demands within provincial grids when market-based approaches have been exhausted from the perspective of mutual assistance in electricity surplus and shortage across provinces and regions. When it is impossible to rely on market declarations directly, how to allocate emergency demands and inter-provincial/regional support capacities and distribute the limited available transfer capacity reasonably among market entities is one of the key issues urgently needing to be addressed in current emergency dispatch. This paper proposes an optimization model for inter-provincial and inter-regional emergency power dispatch considering transmission rights. Inspired by China's current mechanism for allocating transmission channel revenue rights, based on local prioritization and the urgency of emergency demands, a method for determining the priority of emergency transactions considering transmission rights allocation is proposed. This method transforms transmission rights into priority transaction rights, addressing the lack of a reasonable basis for transmission capacity allocation in the emergency dispatch phase. Considering constraints such as available transfer capacity, transaction flow balance, and transaction point power balance constraints, to maximize adjusted social welfare, a clearing model for emergency dispatch optimization considering transaction path priority is constructed. Comparative analysis of the optimization results of three 1e clearing modes, price-based sequential clearing, scenario-based separation, and clearing with transaction path priority, validates the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed optimization clearing model and analyzes the impact of related parameter settings on the clearing results. © 2025 Power System Technology Press.
