Background The glucose fluxes of individuals with prediabetes in Chinese population are not *** study was to determine whether the endogenous glucose production （EGP）,oral glucose rate of appearance （Ra） and glucose rate of disappearance （Rd） were different in Chinese individuals with prediabetes under fasting conditions and following an oral glucose *** Five subjects with type 2 diabetes,5 subjects with prediabetes and 5 non-diabetic subjects matched for age,weight,fat free mass and body mass index underwent a 180 minute stable glucose isotope tracing （[6,6-2H2] glucose,[1-13C] glucose,and [U-13C] glucose） study under fasting and after ingestion of a 75 g oral glucose *** glucose enrichment was measured by gas chromatography-mass *** sensitivity was estimated using the oral glucose tolerance test （OGTT）-derived insulin sensitivity index,β cell function was determined by the insulinogenic index （△I30/△G30）.Results The insulin sensitivity index （P=0.043） and insulinogenic index （P=0.021） were decreased in subjects with prediabetes compared with *** EGP was slightly higher （P=0.29） and postprandial EGP was comparable in subjects with prediabetes and non-diabetes during 120 minutes after glucose ingestion,but nadir EGP occurred later in prediabetic than non-diabetic *** did not differ among the three *** was substantially lower in subjects with prediabetes than non-diabetes after glucose intake （P=0.013）.Conclusion The mild hyperglycemia observed among individuals with prediabetes may result from decreased Rd during the postprandial state.

This study provides a comprehensive analysis of collision and impact problems’ numerical solutions, focusing ongeometric, contact, and material nonlinearities, all essential in solving large deformation problems during a *** initial discussion revolves around the stress and strain of large deformation during a collision, followedby explanations of the fundamental finite element solution method for addressing such issues. The hourglassmode’s control methods, such as single-point reduced integration and contact-collision algorithms are detailedand implemented within the finite element framework. The paper further investigates the dynamic responseand failure modes of Reinforced Concrete (RC) members under asymmetrical impact using a 3D discrete modelin ABAQUS that treats steel bars and concrete connections as bond slips. The model’s validity was confirmedthrough comparisons with the node-sharing algorithm and system energy relations. Experimental parameterswere varied, including the rigid hammer’s mass and initial velocity, concrete strength, and longitudinal and stirrupreinforcement ratios. Findings indicated that increased hammer mass and velocity escalated RC member damage,while increased reinforcement ratios improved impact resistance. Contrarily, increased concrete strength did notsignificantly reduce lateral displacement when considering strain rate effects. The study also explores materialnonlinearity, examining different materials’ responses to collision-induced forces and stresses, demonstratedthrough an elastic rod impact case study. The paper proposes a damage criterion based on the residual axialload-bearing capacity for assessing damage under the asymmetrical impact, showing a correlation betweendamage degree hammer mass and initial velocity. Atomically dispersed catalysts exhibit significant influence on facilitating the sluggish oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)kinetics with high atom economy,owing to remarkable attributes including nearly 100%atomic utilization and exceptional catalytic ***,accurately controlling atomic physical properties including spin,charge,orbital,and lattice degrees of atomically dispersed catalysts can realize the optimized chemical properties including maximum atom utilization efficiency,homogenous active centers,and satisfactory catalytic performance,but remains ***,through physical and chemical insight,we review and systematically summarize the strategies to optimize atomically dispersed ORR catalysts including adjusting the atomic coordination environment,adjacent electronic orbital and site density,and the choice of dual-atom *** the emphasis is on the fundamental understanding of the correlation between the physical property and the catalytic behavior for atomically dispersed ***,an overview of the existing challenges and prospects to illustrate the current obstacles and potential opportunities for the advancement of atomically dispersed catalysts in the realm of electrocatalytic reactions is offered.

Water electrolysis is an important way for high-purity hydrogen production. However, the oxygen evolution reaction（OER）, as a key reaction, has a high energy barrier, and the associated catalyst is prone to failure. Therefore, efficient and stable OER catalysts are urgently required. Compared with commercial iridium oxide（IrO2）, ruthenium oxide（RuO2） has a lower price and higher catalytic activity for OER due to its location at the near-top of the volcano plot, but has lower structural stability. Thus, an in-depth understanding of the failure mechanism of RuO2is conducive to the reaction pathway design and structural modulation for obtaining higher stable RuO2catalysts. Here, we discuss recent advances in the enhancement of the stability of RuO2catalysts. First, we analyze in depth the three failure modes of RuO2, including the oxidation of Ru, the lattice oxygen evolution,and the catalyst exfoliation during the OER process. Second, to improve the durability of RuO2catalysts, five modification strategies, comprising defective engineering, strain engineering, phase engineering, interface engineering and microenvironmental engineering, are summarized, and corresponding enhancement mechanisms are also discussed. Finally, the challenges and possible solutions for further breakthroughs of RuO2catalysts are proposed, and the future research trends and prospects of RuO2catalysts are also envisioned. Undoubtedly, this work will contribute to the understanding and design of highly stable OER catalysts and beyond.

There is an increasingly urgent need to develop cost-effective electrocatalysts with high catalytic activity and stability as alternatives to the traditional Pt/C in catalysts in water *** this study,microspheres composed of Mo-doped NiCoP nanoneedles supported on nickel foam were prepared to address this *** results show that the nanoneedles provide sufficient active sites for efficient electron transfer;the small-sized effect and the micro-scale roughness enhance the entry of reactants and the release of hydrogen bubbles;the Mo doping effectively improves the electrocatalytic performance of NiCoP in alkaline *** catalyst exhibits low hydrogen evolution overpotentials of 38.5 and 217.5 mV at a current density of 10 mA·cm^(-2) and high current density of 500 mA·cm^(-2),respectively,and only 1.978 V is required to achieve a current density of 1000 mA·cm^(-2) for overall water *** functional theory(DFT)calculations show that the improved hydrogen evolution performance can be explained as a result of the Mo doping,which serves to reduce the interaction between NiCoP and intermediates,optimize the Gibbs free energy of hydrogen adsorption(△G_(*H)),and accelerate the desorption rate of **** study provides a promising solution to the ongoing challenge of designing efficient electrocatalysts for high-current-density hydrogen production.

Inhibition of mycobacterial membrane protein large 3(MmpL3)thereby affecting the mycolic acid biosynthetic pathway has been proven to be an effective strategy for developing antitubercular *** on the X-ray crystal structure of MmpL3 inhibitor complexes,a series of novel 1,2,4-triazole derivatives were designed,synthesized and evaluated antitubercular activity against Mtb strain *** structure–activity relationship exploration resulted in the identification of compounds 21 and 28,which possess potent antitubercular activity against Mtb strain H37Rv[minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC)=0.03–0.13μg/mL]and the clinical isolates of multidrug resistance(MDR)and extensive drug resistance(XDR)tuberculosis(MIC=0.06–1.0μg/mL).Moreover,compounds 21 and 28 showed neglectable cytotoxicity(IC_(50)≥32μg/mL)to the mammalian Vero cells and favorable physicochemical and pharmacokinetic properties according to the in silico absorption,distribution,metabolism and excretion(ADME)***,the potential target of representative 1,2,4-triazole 28 was identified to be MmpL3 using a microscale thermophoresis(MST)assay.
