Endoplasmic reticulum(ER)membrane protein complex(EMC)is required for the co-translational insertion of newly synthesized multi-transmembrane *** EMC function in different cell types has been implicated in multiple *** inducible genetic mouse models,we revealed defects in retinal vascularization upon endothelial cell(EC)specific deletion of Emc1,the largest subunit of *** of Emc1 in ECs led to reduced vascular progression and vascular density,diminished tip cell sprouts,and vascular *** then performed an unbiased transcriptomic analysis on human retinal microvascular endothelial cells(HRECs)and revealed a pivotal role of EMC1 in theβ-catenin signaling *** in-vitro and in-vivo experiments proved that loss of EMC1 led to compromisedβ-catenin signaling activity through reduced expression of Wnt receptor FZD4,which could be restored by lithium chloride(LiCl)*** by these findings,we screened genomic DNA samples from familial exudative vitreoretinopathy(FEVR)patients and identified one heterozygous variant in EMC1 that co-segregated with FEVR phenotype in the ***-vitro expression experiments revealed that this variant allele failed to facilitate the expression of FZD4 on the plasma membrane and activate theβ-catenin signaling pathway,which might be a main cause of *** conclusion,our findings reveal that variants in EMC1 gene cause compromisedβ-catenin signaling activity,which may be associated with the pathogenesis of FEVR.

Poly(ethylene oxide)(PEO)-based polymer electrolytes show the prospect in all-solid-state lithium metal batteries;however,they present limitations of low room-temperature ionic conductivity,and interfacial incompatibility with high voltage ***,a salt engineering of 1,1,2,2,3,3-hexafluoropropane-1,3-disulfonimide lithium salt(LiHFDF)/LiTFSI system was developed in PEO-based electrolyte,demonstrating to effectively regulate Li ion transport and improve the interfacial stability under high *** show,by manipulating the interaction between PEO matrix and TFSI^(-)-HFDF^(-),the optimized solid-state polymer electrolyte achieves maximum Li+conduction of 1.24×10^(-4)S cm^(-1)at 40℃,which is almost 3 times of the ***,the optimized polymer electrolyte demonstrates outstanding stable cycling in the LiFePO_(4)/Li and LiNi_(0.8)Mn_(0.1)Co_(0.1)O_(2)/Li(3.0-4.4 V,200 cycles)based all-solid-state lithium batteries at 40℃.

By means of chemical reduction,nanoparticles of platinum were deposited on the surface of multi walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs).The performance of hydrogen storage of as prepared MWCNTs decorated with platinum was *** results indicate that:(1) Hydrogen uptake is more quick and intense for decorated MWCNTs than that for not decorated ones at 10.931MPa and room *** saturation of hydrogen uptake of the former only lasts about 30min,while the latter needs about 150 min;(2) The amount of hydrogen uptake of decorated MWCNTs is about 1.13wt%, which is larger than that of not decorated ones(about 0.54wt%);(3) However,more than 37% hydrogen absorbed by decorated MWCNTs is chemisorbed.

While migration is widely recognized as a valid option for improving farmers’ income, the welfare effects of migration on left-behind family members are ambiguous. This study examines the impacts of migration on left-behind family members’ food consumption and nutrient intake, particularly in remote rural areas in China. Based on household survey data collected from 611 smallholder rubber farmers in Xishuangbanna dai Autonomous Prefecture of southwestern China, the empirical results suggest that the migration of family members contributes to improving household net income, whereas it negatively affects left-behind family members’ consumption of grain and pork. Migration also leads to a decrease in left-behind family members’ nutrient intake. Surprisingly, the economic returns of farmers’ migration not only do not foster the transformation of household food consumption from a staple food-dominated dietary structure to one including more meat and dairy products but also reduce left-behind family members’ nutrient intake. This study adds to the literature on the impact of farmers’ migration. The findings have important implications for better understanding the impacts of migration on farmers’ livelihood and human capital development in rural China.

Objective: To better understand the economic burden of patients with epilepsy receiving outpatient services in China and to analyze potential factors influencing epileptic economic burden through a cross-sectional study. Methods: Using a self-designed questionnaire, we collected information retrospectively from 754 patients with epilepsy evaluated in neurology clinics in Shanghai municipality, Shanxi Province and Sichuan Province. Descriptive analyses were used after cost variables were presented as logarithms, and multiple linear regressions were performed to explore influencing factors. Results: Fifty percent of the investigated patients experienced an epilepsy attack before the age of 15, and 51.3% had suffered from epilepsy for more than five years. In the past year, 87.9% of patients had visited different hospitals multiple times for evaluation(40.3%) and maintenance treatment(40.7%). The total economic burden of epilepsy was US$ 1143.2. The average direct economic burden and indirect economic burden were US$ 939.0 and US$ 110.2, respectively. multiple linear regressions showed that patients had to bear greater economic burden if they were hospitalized,using multiple antiepileptic drugs, experiencing illness for less than 5 years, in severe seizure index or active epilepsy with drug resistance, which was statistically significant. Totally only14.3% of patients could get reimbursement in outpatient services. Conclusions: Patients with epilepsy must present to hospitals regularly for satisfactory prognosis, which results in economic burden. Patients bear greater economic burden, especially direct medical costs, if they are newly diagnosed, experience severe seizures, or undergo multiple drug treatments that require more frequent monitoring. However, current insurance policy for outpatient services do not help reduce economic burden of patients efficiently.

In this paper,we develop a 6G wireless powered Internet of Things(IoT)system assisted by unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)to intelligently supply energy and collect data at the same *** our dual-UAV scheme,UAV-E,with a constant power supply,transmits energy to charge the IoT devices on the ground,whereas UAV-B serves the IoT devices by data collection as a base *** this framework,the system's energy efficiency is maximized,which we define as a ratio of the sum rate of IoT devices to the energy consumption of two UAVs during a fixed working *** the constraints of duration,transmit power,energy,and mobility,a difficult non-convex issue is presented by optimizing the trajectory,time duration allocation,and uplink transmit power of *** tackle the non-convex fractional optimization issue,we deconstruct it into three subproblems and we solve each of them iteratively using the descent method in conjunction with sequential convex approximation(SCA)approaches and the Dinkelbach *** simulation findings indicate that the suggested cooperative design has the potential to greatly increase the energy efficiency of the 6G intelligent UAV-assisted wireless powered IoT system when compared to previous benchmark systems.
