OCTA characteristics in non-arteritic central retinal artery occlusion and correlation with visual acuity

AIM:To observe the retinal and choroidal circulations in patients with non-arteritic permanent central retinal artery occlusion(NA-CRAO)via optical coherence tomography angiography(OCTA)and analyze their correlation with visual ***:Sixty-two eyes with clinically confirmed acute NA-CRAO were included in the study and divided into:A type(mild n=29),B type(moderate n=27)and C type(severe n=6)based on the degree of visual loss,retinal edema,and arterial blood flow delay in fundus fluorescence angiography(FFA).Contralateral healthy eyes were used as the control ***-corrected visual acuity(BCVA),slit lamp microscopy,indirect ophthalmoscopy,fundus color photography,OCTA,and FFA were ***’s correlation analysis was used to determine the correlations between retinal and choroidal vessels and visual ***:There were no statistically significant differences in age,gender,and intraocular pressure among the three types and the control group(P>0.05).Vessel density in deep capillary plexus(VD-DCP)significantly decreased(P<0.05)in all three types of NA-CRAO patients compared to the control *** density in superficial vascular plexus(VD-SVP)significantly decreased(P<0.05)in type A patients and choriocapillaris flow area significantly decreased(P<0.05)in type B and type C patients compared to the control group;while outer retinal flow areas significantly increased in the type A(P<0.05)and decreased in type C patients(P<0.05).The retinal thickness significantly increased in type C group(P<0.05).The VD-SVP at fovea in the type A was significantly lower than both of type B and *** VD-SVP at nasal parafovea in type A and B was significantly lower than type C(P<0.05).The logMAR BCVA of type A was significantly better than that of type B and C groups(P<0.05).Spearman’s correlation analysis showed that the logMAR BCVA was positively correlated with VD-SVP at fovea(r=0.679,P=0.031)and nasal parafovea(r=0.826,P=0.013).CONCLUSION:OCTA is valua

BACKGROUND Non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy(NAION)is an independent disease characterized by edematous optic *** eyes with branch retinal vein occlusion(BRVO),the arteries and veins in the ethmoid plate of the optic disc are relatively crowded;however,a combination of the two is clinically ***,we reported a patient with NAION and concealed BRVO,for which the treatment and prognosis were not similar to those for NAION *** SUMMARY Herein,we report a case of NAION with concealed BRVO that did not improve with oral medication.A week later,we switched to intravenous drug administration to improve circulation,and the patient’s visual acuity and visual field *** therapy was not administered throughout the *** case suggested that:(1)Fundus fluorescein angiography(FFA)can help detect hidden BRVO along with the NAION diagnosis;(2)intravenous infusion of drugs to improve circulation has positive effects in treating such patients;and(3)NAION with concealed BRVO may not require systemic hormonal therapy,in contrast with the known treatment for simple *** NAION may be associated with hidden BRVO,which can only be observed on FFA;intravenous therapy has proven effectiveness.

Microstructural characterization and mechanical properties of(TiC+TiB)/TA15 composites prepared by an in-situ synthesis method

Titanium matrix composites reinforced with ceramic particles are considered a promising engineering material due to their combination of high specific strength,low density,and high *** this study,the TA15-based composites reinforced with a volume fraction of 10% to 25%(TiB+TiC)were prepared using powder metallurgy and casting *** characterization and phase constitution were examined using optical microscopy(OM),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),and X-ray diffraction(XRD).In addition,the microhardness,room temperature(RT)and high temperature(HT)tensile properties of the composites were *** revealed that the reinforcements are distributed uniformly even in the composites with a high volume of TiB and ***,as the volume fraction exceeds 15%,TiB and TiC particles become coarsening and exhibit rod-like and dendritic-like *** increases gradually from 321.2 HV for the base alloy to a maximum of 473.3 HV as the reinforcement increases to 25vol.%.Tensile test results indicate that a reinforcement volume fraction above 20% is beneficial for enhancing tensile strength and yield strength at high temperatures,but it has an adverse effect on room temperature ***,if the reinforcement volume fraction is below 20%,it can improve high-temperature elongation when the temperature exceeds 600℃.

Influence of Heat-setting Temperature on the Microporous Structure and Properties of PP/HDPE Bilayer Microporous Membranes

Due to the mechanical stability of PP layer, the PP/HDPE double-layer microporous membrane could be prepared at a higher heat-setting temperature than that of PE monolayer membrane. In this work, the effects of heat-setting temperature on the pore structure and properties of PP/HDPE double-layer membrane were studied. With the increase of heat-setting temperature from 120 degrees C to 130 degrees C, the length of connecting bridge crystal and crystallinity in the PE layer increase due to the melting of thin lamellae and the stability of connecting bridge structure during heat-setting. The corresponding air permeability, porosity, wettability of liquid electrolyte and mechanical property of the heat-set microporous membrane increase, exhibiting better electrochemical performance. However, when the heat-setting temperature is further increased to 140 degrees C, higher than the melting point of PE resin, some pores are closed since the lamellae and connecting bridges melt and shrink during heat-setting, resulting in a decrease of air permeability and porosity. In contrast, there is negligible change in the PP layer within the above heat-setting temperature region. This study successfully builds the relationship between the stable pore structure and property of microporous membrane during heat-setting, which is helpful to guide the production of high-performance PP/PE/PP lithium batteries separator.

Optimal Coordination of Transportable Power Sources and Repair Crews for Service Restoration of Distribution Networks Considering Uncertainty of Traffic Congestion

This paper proposes a new method for service restoration of distribution network with the support of transportable power sources(TPSs)and repair crews(RCs).Firstly,a coupling model of distribution networks and vehicle routing of TPSs and RCs is proposed,where the TPSs serve as emergency power supply sources,and the RCs are used to repair the faulted *** the uncertainty of traffic congestion,the probability distribution of the travel time spent on each road is derived based on the Nesterov user equilibrium model,and a two-stage stochastic program is formulated to determine the optimal routings of TPSs and *** efficiently solve the proposed stochastic mixed-integer linear program(MILP),a two-phase scenario reduction method is then developed to scale down the problem size,and an adaptive progressive hedging algorithm is used for an efficient *** effectiveness of the proposed methods and algorithms has been illustrated in a modified IEEE 33-bus system.

The Sangong Cu-Ni sulfide mineralized mafic-ultramafic intrusion is located on the southern margin of the Bogeda-Harlik belt,eastern Tianshan,*** intrusion is a well-differentiated complex and is comprised of leucogabbro,gabbro,olivine gabbro,Pl-bearing peridotite,and Pl-bearing *** Pl-bearing pyroxenite hosts both irregularly disseminated sulfide and round droplet *** intrusive rocks have a wide range of SiO_(2)(42.1 wt.%-50.48 wt.%)and MgO(6.21 wt.%-22.11 wt.%),and are enriched in light rare earth elements(LREE),large-ion lithophile elements(LILE;e.g.,Rb,Ba,Sr,and Pb),and palladium platinum group elements(PPGE)but depleted in high-field-strength elements(HFSE;e.g.,Nb,Ta,and Ti)and iridium PGEs(IPGE).These geochemical characteristics indicate that the Sangong mafic-ultramafic intrusion was derived from high degree of partial melting of depleted mantle and interacted with subduction-related *** low Pd/Ir(3.21-27.44)but high Ni/Cu(1.64-24.16)ratios,combined with the olivine crystals with low Fo(60.88-78.65)and Ni(54.99 ppm-1688.87 ppm)concentrations suggest that the parental magma of the Sangong intrusion were likely high MgO basaltic in composition that experienced extensive evolution prior *** Ce/Pb ratios(5.8-13.6)and Nb/U ratios(11.6-30.3)of the intrusive rocks all range between MORB and crustal values,the Nb/Yb and Th/Yb values are close to the lower crust values,together with the low Se/S ratios[(17-100)×10^(-6))]suggest that the magma experienced assimilation not only in mantle source but also in conduit,but the degree of crustal contamination is *** Cu/Pd ratios of the rocks range from 3.9×10^(4) to 10.8×10^(4),and the Cu/Zr ratios of Pl-bearing pyroxenite in the Sangong intrusion are>1,combined with the presence of sulfide droplets in the Pl-bearing pyroxenite,indicating the parental magma experienced sulfide saturation and the economical ore bodies may present in the depth of the ***,gi

Formal Verification of Robot Forward Kinematics Based on DH Coordinate System

The DH coordinate system plays a vital role in analyzing robot kinematics. In the robot control system built upon the DH coordinate system, the robot structure complexity poses challenges to developing a secure control system. Depending solely on manual methods can introduce system vulnerabilities and security hazards, thereby endangering the overall safety of the robot. The formal method becomes a promising direction to design, develop, and verify hardware and software systems by deductive reasoning and code extraction. Based on this, this study designs a formal verification framework for robot forward kinematics based on the DH calibration, during which the robot kinematics theory is rigorously proven and the correctness of the control algorithm in Coq is verified to ensure the motion safety of the robot. First, it formally models the DH coordinate system, defines the transformation matrix among adjacent coordinate systems, and verifies the equivalence of this transformation matrix with the composite helical motion. Then, the forward kinematics of the robotic arm is formally defined, with its motion detachability verified. Subsequently, this study formally models the common connecting rod structures and robots in industrial robots and verifies their forward kinematics. Finally, the code extraction from Coq to OCaml is implemented, and the extracted code is analyzed and verified. © 2024 Chinese Academy of Sciences. All rights reserved.

Metallogenesis of the Baidi Au-Sb deposit, southwest Guizhou Province, China: mineralogical and geochemical evidence from sulfur-bearing minerals

The Baidi Au-Sb deposit, which contains 8 t of Au and 10,979 Mt of Sb, is a typical and rare paragenetic deposit located in southwestern Guizhou Province, *** studies have focused on individual ores, but have not combined them to identify their paragenetic mechanism or metallogenic regularity. Therefore, we used field investigations, microscopic observations, and in situ analyses to identify the spatial distribution, mineral paragenesis, compositional evolution, and metallogenic material sources of the ore bodies. We also determined the Au and Sb paragenetic characteristics and the metallogenesis of the deposit. The main Au-bearing minerals in the deposit were early(Apy1–2) and late(Apy3) stage arsenopyrites, as well as pre-mineralization(Py1), mineralization(Py2–5), and late mineralization(Py6–7) stage pyrites. The main Sb-bearing minerals were stibnite(Snt), skinnerite, bournonite,and valentinite. The minerals formed in the order of Py1,Py2–3 + Apy1, Py4–5 + Apy2, Snt, and Py6–7 + *** δ34S values of the arsenopyrites and pyrites ranged from-5 to 5‰, while those of stibnite were mostly less than-5‰ in the later mineralization stages. Sulfur was provided by deep magmatic hydrothermal fluids, but sedimentary sulfur was added in the later stages. Moreover,the trace elemental contents fluctuated and eventually became similar to those of the sedimentary strata. By comprehensively considering the ores along with the geological characteristics of the deposit, we determined that deep magma provided the Au during ore formation. Later tectonic changes provided Sb from the sedimentary strata,which precipitated along fault expansion areas and produced Au and Sb paragenesis.

Printable,flexible ceramic fiber paper based on electrospinning

Based on the fact that it is challenging for the polymer flexible circuit substrates to meet the requirements of serving in high-temperature environments,this work proposed the idea of using printable ceramic fiber paper as a high-temperature flexible circuit substrate.A ceramic fiber paper with all ceramic components had been developed via electrospinning,solving the problems of low strength and severe strength drop at high temperatures of traditional ceramic fiber *** tensile strength of the prepared ceramic fiber paper is 2.63 MPa,and the reliable service temperature is 1200℃.Its bulk density is about 1.5 times that of traditional ceramic fiber *** can be printed with patterns by commercial inkjet printers like ordinary printing paper and has excellent *** feasibility of ceramic fiber paper as a flexible circuit substrate was verified by constructing a simple *** the fiber paper is significantly bent,the circuit still forms a complete path,which proves that it has a strong application potential for high-temperature flexible circuit substrate and is expected to promote the development of flexible electronic devices serving at extreme high-temperature environments.

Asymmetric copolyimide membranes fabricated by nonsolvent-induced phase separation for He/CH_(4) and He/N_(2) separation
