Liangyoupeijiu is a super high-yield hybrid rice. Despite its advantages with respect to yield and grain quality, it is sensitive to cold, which keeps it from being widely cultivated. We subjected Liangyoupeijiu seedlings to 4 ℃ cold treatment, then extracted the leaf proteins. After 2-D gel electrophoresis separation and matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry analysis, a series of differentially displayed proteins were identified. Some metabolism-associated proteins were found among the downregulated proteins, such as carbamoyl phosphate synthetase, transketolase 1, dihydrolipoamide dehydrogenase and glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate dehydrogenase. The upregulated proteins included both stress-resistance proteins such as nucleoside diphosphate kinase I and proteins that are negative for rice growth, such as FtsH-like protein, plastid fusion and/or translocation factor （Pftf） and actin. Our results indicate that cold may inhibit Liangyoupeijiu growth through decreasing metabolic activity and damaging cell structure.

The Framework Model of Supply-Chain Process in CALS Environment

E-supply chain is the trend of the supply chain ma na gement. However, building E-supply chain depends on business process improvemen t and re-engineering, which becomes one of the important aspects in supply chai n management. However, the supply chain process re-engineering and improvement is constrained because of lack of integrating operation framework and standards based on information management. We find that the idea of CALS origins from DoD of USA can solve the problems very well. CALS is the abbreviation of "continues acquisition and life- cycle support". It is an information strategy adopted by many developed counties. The final objective of the CALS is that government a nd industry can generate, exchange, manage and use all the digital information t hroughout the lifecycle of a product in virtue of adopting the international and national standards, improving existing business process and introducing advance d technology. The Integrated Digital Environment (IDE) created by CALS provides a brand new operation mode for consumer, contractor and supplier in supply chain . Besides, a series mutual standard is involved in CALS system. These standards and the standardization technology would be applied widely in the supply chain. This study mainly focuses on supply chain process in CALS environment, and puts forward a framework model of supply chain process. Then the study analyzes the c haracteristics of the model, which includes the application of standards and inf ormation technology, and finally discusses on methods to achieve the supply chai n process in CALS environment.

Why do humans punish free riders at their own expense? This behavior represents an evolutionary puzzle in human societies. This study explores the role of exit strategies in fostering altruistic punishment within evolutionary game theory. We extend the traditional prisoner's dilemma model by incorporating exiters, players who opt out for a small payoff while nullifying their opponent's payoff, and altruistic punishers who cooperate and punish non-cooperators. Our findings indicate that in well-mixed populations, exiters destabilize defection but do not promote altruistic punishment. In social networks, however,exiters enable altruistic punishment via cyclic dominance among altruistic punishers, defectors, and exiters. Notably, this cyclic dominance is sensitive to exit payoffs; adjustments can lead to cyclic dominance of non-punishing cooperators, defectors, and exiters, or to a bi-stable state between these two types of cyclic dominance. These results highlight the nuanced impact of exiters on altruistic punishment, emphasizing the need for careful incentivization of exit behavior. While exiters can support altruistic punishment in networked populations, their effectiveness is not a panacea and is highly sensitive to exit payoffs, indicating limits to the voluntary participation mechanism.

Wing dimorphism is regarded as an important phenotypic plasticity involved in the migration and reproduction of ***,the signal transduction and regulatory mechanism of wing dimorphism in aphids are still ***,the optimal environmental conditions were first explored for inducing winged offspring of green peach aphid,and the short photoperiod was the most important environmental cue to regulate wing *** to 16 L:8 D photoperiod,the proportion of winged offspring increased to 90%under 8 L:16 D ***,5 differentially expressed microRNAs(miRNAs)in aphids treated with long and short photoperiods were identified using small RNA sequencing,and a novel miR-3040 was identified as a vital miRNA involved in photoperiod-mediated wing *** specifically,the inhibition of miR-3040 expression could reduce the proportion of winged offspring induced by short photoperiod,whereas its activation increased the proportion of winged offspring under long ***,the expression level of miR-3040 in winged aphids was about 2.5 times that of wingless aphids,and the activation or inhibition of miR-3040 expression could cause wing deformity,revealing the dual-role regulator of miR-3040 in wing dimorphism and wing *** summary,the current study identified the key environmental cue for wing dimorphism in green peach aphid,and the first to demonstrate the dual-role regulator of miR-3040 in photoperiod-mediated wing dimorphism and wing development.

Mixed-charge glycopolypeptides as antibacterial coatings with long-term activity

Planktonic bacteria adhere and subsequently form biofilms on implantable medical devices can cause severe infections that have become the major types of hospital-acquired infections. Traditional coatings for the implants are frequently lack of long-term antifouling and bactericidal activities. It is still a big challenge to simultaneously improve the antifouling and bactericidal activities of the coatings. Herein,we report that mixed-charge glycopolypeptide coatings are of long-term antibacterial activities to efficiently inhibit the biofilm growth. The glycosylation of mixed-charge polypeptides has led to a significant improvement of both antifouling and bactericidal activities. The cooperative effect of the saccharide residues and mixed-charge residues improved the resistance of the polypeptide coatings against protein adsorption. The saccharide and L-glutamic acid(E) residues collectively enhanced the bacterial membrane-disruption of cationic L-lysine(K) residues, leading to potent bactericidal activity. Meanwhile,the glycopolypeptide coatings showed superior biocompatibility, long-term antibiofilm and anti-infection properties in two types of mouse subcutaneous infection models and one type of mouse urinary tract infection model. This work provides a new strategy to achieve antibacterial coatings with long-term activities for preventing implantable medical device associated infections.

In this paper,an interference cancellation based neural receiver for superimposed pilot(SIP)in multi-layer transmission is proposed,where the data and pilot are non-orthogonally superimposed in the same time-frequency ***,to deal with the intra-layer and inter-layer interference of SIP under multi-layer transmission,the interference cancellation with superimposed symbol aided channel estimation is leveraged in the neural receiver,accompanied by the pre-design of pilot code-division orthogonal mechanism at *** addition,to address the complexity issue for inter-vendor collaboration and the generalization problem in practical deployments,respectively,this paper also provides a fixed SIP(F-SIP)design based on constant pilot power ratio and scalable mechanisms for different modulation and coding schemes(MCSs)and transmission *** results demonstrate the superiority of the proposed schemes on the performance of block error rate and throughput compared with existing counterparts.

Pyridyl-based ketones and 1,6-diketones are both attractive and invaluable scaffolds which play pivotal roles in the construction and structural modification of a plethora of synthetically paramount natural products, pharmaceuticals, organic materials and fine chemicals. In this context, we herein demonstrate an unprecedented, robust and generally applicable synthetically strategy to deliver these two crucial ketone frameworks via visible-light-induced ring-opening coupling reactions of cycloalcohols with vinylazaarenes and enones, respectively. A plausible mechanism involves the selective β-C-C bond cleavage of cycloalcohols enabled by proton-coupled electron transfer and ensuing Giese-type addition followed by single electron reduction and protonation. The synthetic methodology exhibits broad substrate scope,excellent functional group compatibility as well as operational simplicity and environmental friendliness.
