Reduction behavior of iron ore powder by high-volatile coal in thermogravimetric-gas chromatographic and kinetic analysis

The reduction behavior of iron ore powder by high-volatile coal was investigated,and its kinetic mechanism was clarified.The effect of volatiles in coal on the reduction reaction of iron ore was compared by utilizing a Xinjiang lignite with a high volatile content and its pyrolysis carbon produced by high-temperature pyrolysis to remove volatiles,serving as a reductant.The mass loss and gas composition of the samples during the reduction process were detected using thermo-gravimetric analysis and gas chromatography,and the morphological changes of iron ore powder were observed through scanning electron microscopy.The kinetic parameters of the iron oxide reduction reaction were calculated by the Flynn-Ozawa-Wall method,and the kinetic mechanism of volatile participation in the iron oxide reduction reaction was determined through the Coats-Redfern method.The results indicate that the coupling effect between the high-volatile coal pyrolysis and reduction reactions occurs during the second stage of the entire coupling process,which corresponds to the late stage of coal pyrolysis with a substantial release of H_(2)and CO.The volatiles in coal actively participated in the reduction reaction,reducing the initiation temperature of the reaction by around 200℃.The reduction of iron oxides by high-volatile coal was jointly promoted by the"hydrogen cycle"and"carbon cycle",resulting in a higher reduction extent and metallization rate at the end of the reaction.When high-volatile coal was used as the reductant,the average activation energy for the entire process was 76.5 kJ/mol,a significant decrease compared to the employment of pyrolysis carbon without volatiles as the reductant(1167 kJ/mol).

The Permian-Triassic transition saw extreme climatic changes that severely impacted the terrestrial ecosystem.Fossil plants,particularly fossil woods,are sensitive to climatic changes,and they,therefore,are unique materials revealing extreme environmental and climatic changes on land at that time.Abundant conifer woods were discovered in the Lopingian(Late Permian)strata of the Sunjiagou Formation in Shanxi Province,North China.The newly finding permineralized woods record the unique landscape of Lopingian North China.They represent a new conifer genus and species:Shanxiopitys zhangziensis gen.et sp.nov.Analyses of growth pattern and anatomical characteristics of the fossil woods indicate these trees grew under optimal growing conditions,and without seasonal growth cessation.However,climate signals from leaf fossils,vertebrate fossils and sedimentary evidences indicate a strongly seasonal climate in North China during the Lopingian.Thus,it is speculated that these trees likely lived in the gallery forests,which were distributed along the paleo-rivers within a seasonal landscape in the central North China block during the Lopingian.

Tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated factor(TRAF)proteins are conserved in higher eukaryotes and play key roles in transducing cellular signals across different organelles.They are characterized by their C-terminal region(TRAF-C domain)containing seven to eight antiparallelβ-sheets,also known as the meprin and TRAF-C homology(MATH)domain.Over the past few decades,significant progress has been made toward understanding the diverse roles of TRAF proteins in mammals and plants.Compared to other eukaryotic species,the Arabidopsis thaliana and rice(Oryza sativa)genomes encode many more TRAF/MATH domaincontaining proteins;these plant proteins cluster into five classes:TRAF/MATH-only,MATH-BPM,MATH-UBP(ubiquitin protease),Seven in absentia(SINA),and MATH-Filament and MATHPEARLI-4 proteins,suggesting parallel evolution of TRAF proteins in plants.Increasing evidence now indicates that plant TRAF proteins form central signaling networks essential for multiple biological processes,such as vegetative and reproductive development,autophagosome formation,plant immunity,symbiosis,phytohormone signaling,and abiotic stress responses.Here,we summarize recent advances and highlight future prospects for understanding on the molecular mechanisms by which TRAF proteins act in plant development and stress responses.

This paper presents a Descriptive Translation Study(DTS)analysis of the Chinese translation of the French musical adaptation of Romeo and Juliet,titled Roméo et Juliette:de la Haineàl’Amour.Romeo and Juliet,a timeless play by Shakespeare,has captivated audiences since its premiere in 1597 and has been adapted into various forms,including stage productions,films,musicals,and operas.The focus of this study is to analyze the Chinese translation of the French musical adaptation from a DTS perspective.DTS is an approach that aims to understand the translation process and its reception in the target culture.By examining language choices,cultural references,and adaptation strategies,this study seeks to shed light on how the Chinese translation of the French musical functions within the target culture and influences the reception and interpretation of the source text.This analysis is expected to gain insights into the challenges and strategies employed in translating a musical adaptation of Romeo and Juliet into Chinese.The findings of this study will contribute to the field of translation studies and provide a deeper understanding of the complexities involved in the translation of musical works.

Objective: To study the in vitro and in vivo antitumor effects of the polysaccharide of Alocasia cucullata(PAC) and the underlying mechanism. Methods: B16F10 and 4T1 cells were cultured with PAC of 40 μg/m L, and PAC was withdrawn after 40 days of administration. The cell viability was detected by cell counting kit-8. The expression of Bcl-2 and Caspase-3 proteins were detected by Western blot and the expressions of ERK1/2 mRNA were detected by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction(qRT-PCR). A mouse melanoma model was established to study the effect of PAC during long-time administration. Mice were divided into 3 treatment groups: control group treated with normal saline, positive control group(LNT group) treated with lentinan at 100 mg/(kg·d), and PAC group treated with PAC at 120 mg/(kg·d). The pathological changes of tumor tissues were observed by hematoxylin-eosin staining. The cell apoptosis of tumor tissues was detected by TUNEL staining. Bcl-2 and Caspase-3 protein expressions were detected by immunohistochemistry, and the expressions of ERK1/2, JNK1 and p38 mRNA were detected by qRT-PCR. Results: In vitro, no strong inhibitory effects of PAC were found in various tumor cells after 48 or 72 h of administration. Interestingly however, after 40 days of cultivation under PAC, an inhibitory effect on B16F10 cells was found. Correspondingly, the long-time administration of PAC led to downregulation of Bcl-2 protein(P <0.05), up-regulation of Caspase-3 protein(P<0.05) and ERK1 mRNA(P<0.05) in B16F10 cells. The above results were verified by in vivo experiments. In addition, viability of B16F10 cells under long-time administration culture in vitro decreased after drug withdrawal, and similar results were also observed in 4T1 cells. Conclusions: Long-time administration of PAC can significantly inhibit viability and promote apoptosis of tumor cells, and had obvious antitumor effect in tumor-bearing mice.

Calcium-dependent protein kinases(CDPKs/CPKs)are key regulators of plant stress signaling that translate calcium signals into cellular responses by phosphorylating diverse substrate proteins.However,the molecular mechanism by which plant cells relay calcium signals in response to hypoxia remains elusive.Here,we show that one member of the CDPK family in Arabidopsis thaliana,CPK12,is rapidly activated during hypoxia through calcium-dependent phosphorylation of its Ser-186 residue.Phosphorylated CPK12 shuttles from the cytoplasm to the nucleus,where it interacts with and phosphorylates the group Ⅶ ethylene-responsive transcription factors(ERF-Ⅶ)that are core regulators of plant hypoxia sensing,to enhance their stabilities.Consistently,CPK12 knockdown lines show attenuated tolerance of hypoxia,whereas transgenic plants overexpressing CPK12 display improved hypoxia tolerance.Nonethelss,loss of function of five ERF-Ⅶ proteins in an erf-vii pentuple mutant could partially suppress the enhanced hypoxia-tolerance phenotype of CPK12-overexpressing lines.Moreover,we also discovered that phosphatidic acid and 14-3-3κ protein serve as positive and negative modulators of the CPK12 cytoplasm-to-nucleus translocation,respectively.Taken together,these findings uncover a CPK12-ERF-Ⅶ regulatory module that is key to transducing calcium signals from the cytoplasm into the nucleus to potentiate hypoxia sensing in plants.

Autophagy is an evolutionarily conserved degradation pathway in eukaryotes;it plays a critical role in nutritional stress tolerance.The circadian clock is an endogenous timekeeping system that generates biological rhythms to adapt to daily changes in the environment.Accumulating evidence indicates that the circadian clock and autophagy are intimately interwoven in animals.However,the role of the circadian clock in regulating autophagy has been poorly elucidated in plants.Here,we show that autophagy exhibits a robust circadian rhythm in both light/dark cycle(LD)and in constant light(LL)in Arabidopsis.However,autophagy rhythm showed a different pattem with a phase-advance shift and a lower amplitude in LL compared to LD.Moreover,mutation of the transcription factor LUX ARRHYTHMO(LUX)removed autophagy rhythm in LL and led to an enhanced amplitude in LD.LUX represses expression of the core autophagy genes ATG2,ATG8 a,and ATG11 by directly binding to their promoters.Phenotypic analysis revealed that LUX is responsible for improved resistance of plants to carbon starvation,which is dependent on moderate autophagy activity.Comprehensive transcriptomic analysis revealed that the autophagy rhythm is ubiquitous in plants.Taken together,our findings demonstrate that the LUXmediated circadian clock regulates plant autophagy rhythms.

本文基于离散模块思想,提出一种求解弹性浮体二阶平均漂移力的数值方法。首先将连续弹性浮体离散为弹性梁连接的刚性模块系统,实现弹性梁刚度和各模块水动力信息的耦合,在频域内求解浮体一阶水弹性响应。然后利用二阶多体水动力理论,并考虑计及结构弹性变形影响后的各模块一阶运动信息,获得各刚性模块上的二阶平均漂移力。最后,利用该方法求解自由柔性驳船的平均漂移力,并与基于模态叠加思想的三维水弹性理论的计算结果进行对比验证。此外,由于本文方法在水动力求解方面的离散特性,该方法可直接拓展到非均匀波浪场下浮体的水弹性响应分析。

本文首先简要区分命题逻辑和自然逻辑,指出自然逻辑的丰富性与命题逻辑的抽象性,后者派生自前者。并在系统功能语言学的理论范围内,讨论逻辑二重性,即逻辑元功能和语篇元功能的逻辑连接。然后,以此为基础,从系统层、结构层和语义-词汇语法照应层进一步指明逻辑元功能的独特性,区分其与衔接语义资源中连接的差别。进而论述逻辑二重性区分的重要意义:一方面,它是探究逻辑语法隐喻的必要前提;另一方面,它能加深我们对系统功能语言学中意义功能性本质的认识。
