This letter presents a method for digital image watermarking for copyright protection. This technique produces a watermarked image that closely retains the quality of the original host image while concurrently surviving various image processing operations such as lowpass/highpass filtering, lossy JPEG compression, and cropping. This image watermarking algorithm takes full advantage of permutation and 2-D barcode (PDF417). The actual watermark embedding in spatial domain is followed using permutated image for improving the resistance to image cropping. Much higher watermark robustness is obtainable via a simple forward error correction technique, which is the main feature of PDF417 codes. Additional features of this technique include the easy determination of the existence of the watermark and that the watermark verification procedure does not need the original host image. The experimental results demonstrate its effectiveness.

BACKGROUND: Since single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) can serve as gene markers, polymorphism profiles may help scientists to identify the full collection of genes that contribute to the development of complex diseases such as cancer. The distribution of interleukin-10 (IL-10) promoter polymorphisms in Chinese Han ethnic patients with hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) was investigated in this study. METHODS: The polymorphisms of IL-10 promoter region were detected by pulymerase chain reaction-single strand conformation polymorphism (PCR-SSCP) and sequencing. Sixty-six health controls, 42 patients with HBV infection, 30 HCC patients, and cell line SMMC-7721 were examined this way. RESULTS: Polyrnorphisms of T/C or T/N on-872 site occurred frequently in Han ethnic population. Pulyrnorphisms were detected in HBV and HCC patients and cell line SMMC-7721. The hotspot among the pulymorphisms was inserting base A between-1058 and-1057. CONCLUSION: Polymorphisms of IL-10 promoter in HBV and HCC patients may be associated with HBV infection and HCC development.

Chaotic sequences are basically ergodic random sequences. By improving correlativity of a chaotic signal, the chaotic dynamic system can be controlled to converge to its equilibrium point and, more significantly, to its multi-periodic orbits. Mathematical theory analysis is carried out and some computer simulation results are provided to support such controllability of the chaotic Henon system and the discrete coupled map lattice.

Based on an innovation analysis method in the Krein space,a sufficient and necessary condition is given for the existence of the solution of Hcontrol problem for a linear continuous- time system with multiple *** introducing a re-organized innovation sequence,the Hcontrol problem with delayed measurements is converted into a linear quadratic(LQ)problem and a delay- free Hestimation problem in the Krein *** controller is given in terms of two forward Riccati equations and a backward Riccati equation.

Electrochemical Corrosion Behavior of Arc Sprayed Zn and Zn15Al Coatings in Simulated Salina Soil and Neutral Meadow Soil Solutions

Arc sprayed Zn and Zn15Al coatings were chosen to protect the metal ends of prestressed high-strength concrete （PHC） pipe piles against corrosion of salina soil in northern china and neutral meadow soil in northeast China. The corrosion behavior of the coated Q235 steel samples in two simulated soil solutions were investigated by potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy （EIS） methods. The experimental results show that the corrosion of the matrix Q235 steel in both simulated solutions is remarkably inhibited by Zn and Zn15Al coatings. The corrosion products on Zn and Zn15Al are thick, compact, firm and protective. The corrosion current density icorr of both Zn and Zn15Al-coated samples is decreased evidently with corrosion time, and the charge transfer resistance Rct is increased greatly. The corrosion resistance indexes of Zn and Zn15Al in simulated neutral meadow soil solution are more outstanding than those in salina soil. The corrosion resistance of Zn15Al in salina soil is slightly superior to that of Zn. When the sprayed coatings are sealed with epoxy resin, the corrosion resistance of the coatings is further enhanced markedly.

The understanding of cSNPs of cancer-related genes harboring in high frequency loss regions of tumor chromosomes can advance the disclosure of genetic and variant mechanisms of tumorigenesis,and the investigation of cancer susceptibility. In preparing a gene chip for detecting polymorphisms on coding region of genes in hepatocellular carcinoma tissues, some cSNPs are of interest for their potential links with phenotype. METHODS: The genes harboring in loss regions with high frequency of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) were selected, the related information of cSNP sequences was obtained from the SNP database (dbSNP) of the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI). Then appropriate primers and oligonucleotide probes were designed according to the SNP sites, and a gene chip for the detection of SNPs was constructed. The chip included 48 cSNPs of 25 hepatocellular carcinoma-related genes. The PCR products labeled by Dig-dUTP were hybridized with the cSNP chip. RESULTS:The sensitivity, influence by probe concentration, and reiteration of the chip were detected, with a high sensitivity of 6 × 10-3 ng/μl. The signal of hybridization was reduced with a lower concentration of probe. Seven polymorphisms of caspase 9 (rs2308941) C →T and DOK2 (rs2242241) T→G, 6 of polymorphisms of EGFL3 (rs947345) A→G, caspase 9 (rs2308938) C→G and PHGDH (rs1801955)T→A, 5 of polymorphisms of E2F2(rs3218170) G→A,4 of polymorphisms of MUTYH( rs1140507) T→C and BNIP3L(rs1055806)G→T, and 1 of polymorphism of TNFRSF1B (rs1061622)T→G were detected by the chip in the tissues of 10 HCC. Samples of caspase 9 (rs2308941G) and (rs2308941A) were verified by PCR-SSCP and sequencing. CONCLUSION:The cSNP chip of hepatocellular carcinoma-related genes can accelerate the discovery of polymorphic markers on hepatocellular carcinoma.

针对作业车间(JobShop)调度问题,提出了一个遗传退火算法。该算法构造了基于工作的遗传算子,因而保证了遗传进程中生成个体的可行性,有效地解决了工件机器顺序的约束限制。通过对最佳个体进行模拟退火,把模拟退火机制引入到遗传进化过程中,将模拟退火和遗传算法两者的优点有机地结合起来,从而进一步提高了算法的全局寻优能力。仿真计算表明了该算法的良好收敛性和有效性。
