Molten salt and supercritical carbon dioxide(sCO_(2))are considered to be one of the most promising combined heat transfer refrigerants for third-generation solar thermal power *** evaluate the potential of chloride salts and carbonates in third-generation solar thermal power generation,this paper uses molten salts and sCO_(2)as the working media of printed circuit board heat exchangers(PCHE),and uses numerical simulation to study the heat transfer and friction of PCHE channels with different molten salts and sCO_(2),and establishes predictive correlations respectively.A local heat transfer and friction study was conducted on the sCO_(2)side of the airfoil channel,and it was found that the inlet mass flow rate has a significant impact on it,while the inlet temperature has a relatively small impact.A comprehensive comparison was made between the heat transfer and friction of two molten salts,and the comprehensive performance of chloride salts was 70%-80%higher than that of *** results indicate that the potential of chloride salts in third-generation solar thermal power generation is much greater than that of carbonates.

Formic acid(FA),which is obtainable through CO_(2)hydrogenation with green hydrogen or biomass conversion,has been used as a prospective liquid organic hydrogen carrier(LOHC)because of the abundant advantages of renewability,wide availability,stability,and high volumetric capacity(53 g H_(2)/L).The development of highly efficient catalytic systems to achieve enhanced catalytic activity is attractive but still ***,ultrafine and highly dispersed PdAu nanoclusters(NCs)anchored on amino-modified reduced graphene oxide(ArGO)were successfully synthesized via a facile impregnation-reduction method and applied as a catalyst toward formic acid dehydrogenation(FAD).Benefiting from the promoting effect of amino groups,the strain and ligand effect in the alloy,and the Mott–Schottky effect between PdAu NCs and ArGO,the resultant PdAu/ArGO affords an ultrahigh activity under visible light irradiation with an exceptional turnover frequency value of 10,699.5 h^(-1)at 298 K without any additives,more than 2.6times improvement than that under dark,which is the highest among all reported catalysts under the same *** study provides a green and convenient strategy for developing more efficient and sustainable FAD catalysts and promotes the effective utilization of FA as a prospective renewable LOHC.

Hydrogen acquisition from solar energy is an effective way to address energy crisis,which makes the development of efficient photocatalysts become the main direction of scientific ***,cobalt phthalocyanine/oxygen-doped g-C_(3)N_(4)(CoPc/OCN) S-scheme heterojunction photocatalyst was designed by coupling multi-step calcination with solvothermal method for enhanced photothermal-assisted photocatalytic H_(2) *** multistep calcined g-C_(3)N_(4) is easier for O-doping formation,and the ethanol solvothermal strategy is utilized to enhance the dispersion of CoPc on OCN nano sheet surface and forms sufficient S-scheme heterojunction through *** addition,the active sites and excellent photothermal properties of CoPc itself further improve the integrated photocatalytic activity of CoPc/OCN S-scheme *** optimal photocatalytic hydrogen evolution rate of CoPc/OCN S-scheme heterojunction photocatalyst reached 9.56 mmol·g^(-1)·h^(-1),which is 2.69 and 1.23 times higher than that of CN and OCN,*** work provides a valuable design idea and scheme for enhancing the multi-factor co-assisted photocatalytic H_(2) evolution performance.

The increasingly frequent and severe regional-scale compound heatwave-drought extreme events(CHDEs),driven by global warming,present formidable challenges to ecosystems,residential livelihoods,and economic ***,uncertainty persists regarding the future trend of CHDEs and their insights into regional spatiotemporal *** integrating daily meteorological data from observations in 1961-2022 and global climate models(GCMs)based on the Shared Socioeconomic Pathways,the evolution patterns of CHDEs were compared and examined among three sub-catchments of the Yangtze River Basin,and the return periods of CHDE in 2050s and 210Os were *** findings indicate that the climate during the 2022 CHDE period was the warmest and driest recorded in 1961-2022,with precipitation less than 154.5 mm and a mean daily maximum temperature 3.4°C higher than the average of 1981-2010,whereas the char-acteristics in the sub-catchments exhibited temporal and spatial *** July-August 2022,the most notable feature of CHDE was its extremeness since 1961,with return periods of~200-year in upstream,80-year in midstream,and 40-year in downstream,*** 2050,the return periods witnessed 2022 CHDE would likely be reduced by *** towards 2100,under the highest emission scenario of SSP585,it was projected to substantially increase the frequency of CHDEs,with return periods reduced to one-third in the upstream and downstream,as well as halved in the *** findings provide valuable insights into the changing risks associated with forthcoming climate extremes,emphasizing the urgency of addressing these challenges in regional management and sustainable development.

The annual distribution characteristics of river runoff in arid regions have significant implications for water resource stability and *** on the mountain runoff data from 1965 to 2018,this study examines the annual change characteristics of monthly runoff of the Shiyang River Basin,Heihe River Basin,and Shule River Basin in the Hexi Corridor,Northwest *** indexes are used and analyzed,including the coefficient of variance,the complete regulation coefficient,the concentration degree and concentration period,the magnitude of change,the skewness coefficient,and the kurtosis coefficient of the annual distribution *** results reveal the following:(1)The inhomogeneity of annual runoff distribution in the Taolai River and the rivers to the west of it,except the Shiyou River,show an increasing ***,the inhomogeneity of the rivers to the east of the Taolai River generally show a downward trend,but the coefficient of variance value is still very high.(2)In the Shiyang River Basin,the annual distribution of the concentration period is characterized by a relatively discrete ***,the Heihe River Basin exhibits a relatively concentrated pattern,and the distribution pattern of the Shule River Basin is quite ***,all concentration periods in the three basins have shifted backward after the 2000s.(3)The Shiyang River Basin exhibits disordered annual distribution curves of runoff in different *** contrast,the Heihe River Basin presents a typical‘single-peak’pattern with a prominent *** Shule River Basin has regular distribution curves,with a gradually significant‘double-peak’pattern from east to ***,there has been a slight change in runoff in the Shiyang River Basin,while the Heihe River Basin and Shule River Basin have experienced significant increases in *** annual distribution curves of runoff in the Liyuan River and the rivers to the east of it exhibit a gentle peak pattern,and th

The development of lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries is hindered by the disadvantages of shuttling of polysulfides and the sluggish redox kinetics of the conversion of sulfur species during discharge and ***,the crystallinities of a titanium nitride(TiN)film on copper-embedded carbon nanofibers(Cu-CNFs)are regulated and the nanofibers are used as interlayers to resolve the aforementioned crucial issues.A low-crystalline TiN-coated Cu-CNF(L-TiN-Cu-CNF)interlayer is compared with its highly crystalline counterpart(H-TiN-Cu-CNFs).It is demonstrated that the L-TiN coating not only strengthens the chemical adsorption toward polysulfides but also greatly accelerates the electrochemical conversion of *** to robust carbon frameworks and enhanced kinetics,impressive highrate performance at 2 C(913 mAh g^(-1)based on sulfur)as well as remarkable cyclic stability up to 300 cycles(626 mAh g^(-1))with capacity retention of 46.5%is realized for L-TiN-Cu-CNF interlayer-configured Li-S *** under high loading(3.8 mg cm^(-2))of sulfur and relatively lean electrolyte(10μL electrolyte per milligram sulfur)conditions,the Li-S battery equipped with L-TiN-Cu-CNF interlayers delivers a high capacity of 1144 mAh g^(-1)with cathodic capacity of 4.25 mAh cm^(-2)at 0.1 C,providing a potential pathway toward the design of multifunctional interlayers for highly efficient Li-S batteries.

Influence of self-similar stresses on scenario earthquake construction:An example along the Tanlu Fault

As a famous deep and large fault in eastern China,the Tanlu Fault passes through Anhui,Jiangsu,and Shandong and into northeastern *** is important to improve the understanding of seismic hazard assessments in areas near *** start a scenario earthquake simulation in the M7.5 earthquake potential area of the Xinyi-Sihong segment of the Tanlu *** fault rupture length and width are constrained according to the scaling law of large intraplate earthquakes,the background normal stress is depth dependent,and the initial shear stresses are determined using trial and error by matching the earthquake *** the 120 km rupture length of the M7.5 earthquake,we compare the horizontal uniform stress model and self-similar stress perturbation *** findings reveal that the seismic source time function of the horizontal uniform stress model is similar to that of the Haskell model and that of the self-similar stress perturbation model is more similar to that of a real earthquake *** compare the dynamic rupture simulation and ground motion results under four different stress conditions and find that the shorter the characteristic length of the self-similar function is,the rougher the initial *** the M7.5earthquake with an epicenter in the vicinity of Suqian,the Xinyi-Tancheng segment,which is located in the IX-intensity zone north of the epicenter,vibrates more strongly on the northern side than on the southern side due to the influence of the lowvelocity zone and the peak slip *** response spectra analysis at stations in the study area is useful for improving the earthquake resistance capability.

Background Unruptured intracranial aneurysm treatment aims to reduce the risk of aneurysm rupture and bleeding,relieves symptoms and improve the quality of life for *** study aimed to assess the safety and efficacy of Pipeline Embolization Device(PED,Covidien/Medtronic,Irvine,CA)treatment for intracranial aneurysms presenting with mass effect in real-world *** We selected patients from the PED in China Post-Market Multi-Center Registry Study with mass effect *** study endpoints included postoperative mass effect deterioration and mass effect relief at follow-up(3–36 months).We conducted multivariate analysis to identify factors associated with mass effect *** analyses by aneurysm location,size and form were also *** This study included 218 patients with a mean age of 54.3±11.8 years and a female predominance of 74.0%(162/218).The postoperative mass effect deterioration rate was 9.6%(21/218).During a median follow-up period of 8.4 months,the mass effect relief rate was 71.6%(156/218).Notably,immediate aneurysm occlusion following treatment was significantly associated with mass effect relief(OR 0.392,95%CI,0.170 to 0.907,p=0.029).Subgroup analysis demonstrated that adjunctive coiling contributed to mass effect relief in cavernous aneurysms,while dense embolism impeded symptom relief in aneurysms<10mm and saccular *** Our data confirmed the efficacy of PED in relieving mass *** findings of this study provide support for endovascular treatment to alleviate mass effect in unruptured intracranial *** registration number NCT03831672.

The evolution of high-frequency communication has accentuated the significance of controlling dielectric properties in polymer ***,it has been theorized that rigid molecular chains lead to lower dielectric ***,the validity of this proposition at high frequencies remains *** scrutinize the correlation between chain flexibility and dielectric properties,we synthesized six poly(ester imide)s(PEIs)with systematically varied molecular chain flexibilities by modifying the ester's substitution on the aromatic *** introduction of ester bonds bestowed all PEI films with a low dielectric dissipation factor(D_(f)),ranging from 0.0021 to 0.0038 at 10 GHz in dry *** dry D_(f)displayed a pattern consistent with volume polarizability(P/V).Unexpectedly,PI-mmm-T,featu ring the most flexible molecular chain,exhibited the lowest dielectric loss under both dry(0.0021@10 GHz)and hygroscopic(0.0029@10 GHz)***,the observed increase in D_(f)after humidity absorption suggests that the high dielectric loss of PEI in applications may be attributed to its hygroscopic *** simulations and characterization of the aggregation structure revealed that the smaller cavities within flexible molecular chains,after close stacking,impede the entry of water *** sacrificing high-temperature resistance,the precursor exhibited enhanced solubility properties and could be processed into high-quality *** research unveils new insights into the relationship between flexibility and highfrequency dielectric loss,offering innovative perspectives on synthesizing aromatic polymers with exceptional dielectric properties.
