USP10 Alleviates Palmitic Acid-induced Steatosis through Autophagy in HepG2 Cells

Despite improvement in cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR)performance,cardiac arrest(CA)is still associated with poor *** high mortality rate is due to multi-organ dysfunction caused by cerebral ischemia and reperfusion injury(I/R).The guidelines for CPR suggest the use of therapeutic hypothermia(TH)as an effective treatment to decrease mortality and the only approach confirmed to reduce I/R *** TH,sedative agents(propofol)and analgesia agents(fentanyl)are commonly used to prevent shiver and ***,propofol has been associated with a number of serious adverse effects such as metabolic acidosis,cardiac asystole,myocardial failure,and *** addition,mild TH alters the pharmacokinetics of agents(propofol and fentanyl)and reduces their systemic *** CA patients undergoing TH,propofol can be overdosed,leading to delayed awakening,prolonged mechanical ventilation,and other subsequent ***(HSK3486)is a novel anesthetic agent that is convenient and easy to administer intravenously outside the operating *** is rapidly metabolized and accumulates at low concentrations after continuous infusion in a stable circulatory system compared to ***,we hypothesized that treatment with HSK3486 and mild TH after CA could protect the brain and other organs.

Effect of ligand of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ on the biological characters of hepatic stellate cells

AIM： To study the effect of rosiglitazone, which is a ligand of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma （PPARy）, on the expression of PPARy in hepatic stellate cells （HSCs） and on the biological characteristics of HSCs. METHODS： The activated HSCs were divided into three groups： control group, 3 μmol/L rosiglitazone group, and 10 μmol/L rosiglitazone group. The expression of PPARγ, α-smooth muscle actin （α-SMA）, and type Ⅰ and Ⅲ collagen was detected by RT-PCR, Western blot and immunocytochemical staining, respectively. Cell proliferation was determined with methylthiazolyltetrazolium （MTT） colodmetric assay. Cell apoptosis was demonstrated with flow cytometry. RESULTS： The expression of PPARγ at mRNA and protein level markedly increased in HSCs of 10 μmol/L rosiglitazone group （tvalue was 10.870 and 4.627 respectively, P〈0.01 in both）. The proliferation of HSCs in 10 μmol/L rosiglitazone group decreased significantly （t = 5.542, P〈0.01）, α-SMA expression level and type Ⅰ collagen synthesis ability were also reduced VS controls （tvalue = 10.256 and 14.627 respectively, P〈0.01 in both）. The apoptotic rate of HSCs significantly increased in 10 μmol/L rosiglitazone group vs control （X^2= 16.682, P〈0.01）. CONCLUSION： By increasing expression of PPARγ in activated HSCs, rosiglitazone, an agonist of PPARγ, decreases α-SNA expression and type Ⅰ collagen synthesis, inhibits cell proliferation, and induces cell apoptosis.

Rational construction of densely packed Si/MXene composite microspheres enables favorable sodium storage

The fast and reversible sodiation/desodiation of anode materials remains an indelible yet fascinating ***, a class of the densely packed Si/MXene composite microspheres is constructed and prepared, taking advantages of the synergistic effects of the activated Si nanoparticles and conductive flower-like MXene microspheres with ample ion-diffusion pathways. Consequently,the intrinsic MXene nanosheets with intelligently regulated interlayer spacing can accommodate the volume change induced strain during cycling, and the strong interaction between the Si and MXene matrix greatly contributes to the robust structural stability. As expected, the Si/MXene composite architecture exhibits boosted sodium storage performance, in terms of an inspiring reversible capacity of 751 mAh·g^(-1)at 0.1 A·g^(-1), remarkable long-term cycling stability of 376 mAh·g^(-1)at 0.1 A·g^(-1) over 500 cycles, and outstanding rate capability(after one consecutive current density changing from 0.1 to 2.0 A·g^(-1), a large capacity of 275 mAh·g^(-1) is regained after suddenly returning the initial current density back to 0.1 A·g^(-1) and in the subsequent 200 cycles this composite architecture anode still delivers a capacity of 332 mAh·g^(-1)). The kinetics analysis indicates superior pseudocapacitive property, high electronic conductivity, and favorable sodium-ion adsorption and diffusion capability,confirming fast sodium storage performance. Impressively, ex-situ X-ray diffraction and selected area electron diffraction characterizations corroborate the formation of NaSi;as the main sodiation products during the reversible evolutions of cycled proceeding with sodium-ion insertion. This work sheds light on the elaborate design of silicon-based nanostructured anodes towards advanced high-performance sodium-ion batteries.

Resveratrol prolongs allograft survival after liver transplantation in rats

AIM： To study the immuno-modulatory effect of resveratrol （RES） on allograft rejection after liver transplantation in rats. METHODS： Male Sprague-Dawley （SD） rats were selected as donors and male Wistar rats as recipients for a rejection model. The recipients were divided into four groups after orthotopic liver transplantation （OLTx）. In the RES A, B, and C groups, RES was given intra-peritoneally once a day （25, 50, and 100 mg/kg, respectively） after OLTx, whereas in the control group, vehicle buffer was given intra-peritoneally once a day. The survival time, serum chemistry, production of cytokines, activation of transcription factor NF-kB, and histopathologic findings were then compared among these groups. RESULTS： The mean survival time after OLTx in the RES C group was significantly longer than that in the control group （16.7＋-1.2 d ,vs9.3＋-0.6 d, P〈0.01）. On the 7th posttransplant day the serum albumin level significantly improved in the RES C group, the serum total bile acid and alanine aminotransferase （ALT） levels were significantly lower in the RES C group, the serum IL-2 and INF-y levels were significantly lower in the RES C group, and the activation of transcription factor NF-kB in peripheral blood T lymphocytes was significantly suppressed in the RES A, B, and C groups in comparison to those in the control group. On the 7^th post-transplant day, a histological examination revealed apparent difference in the severity of rejection between the RES C group and control group. CONCLUSION： RES has an immuno-suppressive property as well as protective effect on hepatocytes under allograft rejection. It might serve as a novel agent for reducing the severity of hepatic allograft rejection in rats.

Nomogram to predict the risk of endoscopic removal failure with forceps/baskets for treating submandibular stones

BACKGROUND Endoscopic removal with forceps/baskets is favored in treating submandibular stones due to its minimal ***,recent studies have found that endoscopic removal failure(ERF)is not unusual,and stones in such cases still need to be removed with other surgical *** the risk of ERF can be predicted preoperatively,it could be helpful for surgeons when choosing the appropriate *** To develop a predictive nomogram for the risk of ERF when treating submandibular stones based on their preoperative clinical *** A total of 180 patients with 211 submandibular stones treated from January 2012 to December 2020 were included in the current *** on the preoperative clinical features of the stones,independent risk factors for ERF were identified by logistic regression *** stones were then randomly divided into training and testing sets.A nomogram was constructed to predict the risk of ERF using the training set and then validated using both *** predictive performance of the nomogram was assessed by calibration curves and the concordance index(Cindex).RESULTS Three independent predictors,location(P=0.040),transverse diameter(P<0.001)and longitudinal diameter(P<0.001)measured on the cone beam computed tomography(CBCT)images of the submandibular stones,were identified and included in the predictive *** curves of the nomogram showed good agreement between the predicted and observed probabilities in both *** C-index in the training set was 0.917(95%CI,0.875-0.959)and that in the testing set was 0.925(95%CI,0.862-0.989).CONCLUSION A nomogram based on the location,transverse and longitudinal diameters on CBCT images of submandibular stones showed satisfactory efficacy in predicting the risk of ERF preoperatively when treating submandibular stones.

In this paper, we propose the statistical space mapping thought and classify the seismic body space throughlithology space clustering combining to the actual application background of petroleum exploration. A new method ofstratum petroleum recognition based on neural network was set up through the foundation of the data mapping relationbetween log and seismic body. It can break a new path for recognition petroleum using both log and seismic data. Andthis method has been validated in the practical data analysis in Liaohe oil field.

QUALIFICATION OF UNCERTAINTY FOR SIMULATING SOLUTE TRANSPORT IN THE HETEROGENEOUS MEDIA WITH SPARSE GRID COLLOCATION METHOD

The sparse grid collocation method is discussed to qualify the uncertainty of solute transport. The Karhunen-Loeve （KL） expansion is employed to decompose the log transformed hydraulic conductivity. The head, velocity and concentration fields are represented by the Lagrange polynomial expansion. A sparse grid collocation method is then used to reduce the original stochastic partial differential equations to a set of deterministic equations which is collocated at selected interpolation （collocation） points. The collocation points are constructed by the Smolyak algorithm. The accuracy, efficiency and convergence property of sparse grid collocation method are investigated by numerical experiments. The analysis shows that stochastic collocation strategy helps to decouple stochastic computations, and all the numerical computation is possible to be implemented by existing deterministic finite element codes. The proposed method provides an efficient way to evaluate the uncertainty of the solute transport in the heterogeneous media.

Low temperature solid-state synthesis and characterization of uniform YF_3 submicroparticles

In this paper, submicro-scaled YF3 particles with uniform rice-like morphologies were facilely synthesized by reacting yttrium nitrate with tetrabutylammonium fluoride via a solid-state reaction process at 50 °C for 12 *** phase confirmation and morphology of the as-prepared YF3 particles were investigated by X-ray powder diffraction（XRD） and scanning electron microscopy（SEM）.SEM results reveal that the YF3 submicroparticles are about 700 nm in length and 260 nm in width. Eu^3＋ and Tb^3＋ doped YF3 submicroparticles were also prepared with similar process and their photoluminescence properties were studied. Results demonstrate that the doping of Eu^3＋ and Tb^3＋ has slight effect on the morphologies of the product. Owing to the small average crystallite size or the low crystallinity of the product, the photoluminescence intensity of the Eu^3＋ and Tb^3＋ doped YF3 submicroparticles is very weak. Some characteristic peaks even cannot be observed in the emission spectrum.
