The generation of.ultrashort high-power light sources in the mid-inf.ared(mid-IR)to terahertz(THz)range is of.interest f.r applications in a number of.f.elds,f.om f.ndamental research to biology and *** conventional laser technology,photon deceleration in plasma wakes provides an alternative approach to the generation of.ultrashort mid-IR or THz ***,we present a photon deceleration scheme f.r the ef.icient generation of.ultrashort mid-IR or THz pulses by using an intense driver laser pulse with a relatively short wavelength and a signal laser pulse with a relatively long *** signal pulse trails the driver pulse with an appropriate time delay such that it sits at the f.ont of.the second wake bubble that is driven by the driver *** to its relatively long wavelength,the signal pulse will be subjected to a large gradient of.the ref.active index.in the plasma wake ***,the photon deceleration in the plasma wake becomes f.ster and more ef.icient f.r signal pulses with longer *** greatly enhances the capacity and ef.iciency of.photon deceleration in the generation of.ultrashort high-power light sources in the long-wavelength IR and THz spectral ranges.

The dynamic spalling characteristics of.rock are important f.r stability analysis in rock *** paper presented an ex.erimental investigation on the dynamic spalling characteristics of.granite with dif.erent temperatures and strain rates.A series of.dynamic spalling tests with dif.erent impact velocities were conducted on thermally treated granite at dif.erent *** dynamic spalling strengths of.granite with dif.erent temperatures and strain rates were determined.A model was proposed to correlate the dynamic spalling strength of.granite,high temperature and strain *** results show that the spalling strength of.granite decreases with increasing ***,the spalling strength of.granite with a higher strain rate is larger than that with a lower strain *** proposed model can describe the relationship among dynamic spalling strength of.granite,high temperature and strain rate.

Silicon monox.de(SiO)is regarded as a potential candidate f.r anode materials of.lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).Unf.rtunately,the application of.SiO is limited by poor initial Coulombic ef.iciency(ICE)and unsteady solid electrolyte interf.ce(SEI),which induce low energy,short cycling lif.,and poor rate *** address these drawbacks of.SiO,we achieve in-situ construction of.robust and f.st-ion conducting f.N-rich SEI layer on prelithiated micro-sized SiO(P-μSiO)via the simple and continuous treatment of.SiO in mild lithium 4,4′-dimethylbiphenyl solution and nonf.ammable hex.f.uorocyclotriphosphazene *** prelithiation eliminates irreversible capacity through pre-f.rming inactive lithium ***,the symbiotic f.N-rich SEI with good mechanical stability and f.st Li^(+)permeability is conductive to relieve volume ex.ansion of.SiO and boost the Li+dif.usion ***,the P-μSiO realizes an impressive electrochemical perf.rmance with an elevated ICE of.99.57%and a capacity retention of.90.67%af.er 350 ***,the f.ll cell with P-μSiO anode and commercial Lif.PO_(4) cathode displays an ICE of.92.03%and a high reversible capacity of.144.97 mA h g^(-1).This work of.ers a general construction strategy of.robust and ionically conductive SEI f.r advanced LIBs.

The ex.ansion of.smart cities, f.cilitated by digital communications, has resulted in an enhancement of.the quality of.lif. and satisf.ction among residents. The Internet of.Things (IoT) continually generates vast amounts of.data, which is subsequently analyzed to of.er services to residents. The growth and development of.IoT have given rise to a new paradigm. A smart city possesses the ability to consistently monitor and utilize the physical environment, providing intelligent services such as energy, transportation, healthcare, and entertainment f.r both residents and visitors. Research on the security and privacy of.smart cities is increasingly prevalent. These studies highlight the cybersecurity risks and the challenges f.ced by smart city inf.astructure in handling and managing personal data. To ef.ectively uphold individuals’ security and privacy, developers of.smart cities must earn the trust of.the public. In this article, we delve into the realms of.privacy and security within smart city applications. Our comprehensive study commences by introducing architecture and various applications tailored to smart cities. Then, concerns surrounding security and privacy within these applications are thoroughly ex.lored subsequently. f.llowing that, we delve into several research endeavors dedicated to addressing security and privacy issues within smart city applications. f.nally, we emphasize our methodology and present a case study illustrating privacy and security in smart city contex.s. Our proposal consists of.def.ning an Artif.cial Intelligence (AI) based f.amework that allows: Thoroughly documenting penetration attempts and cyberattacks; promptly detecting any deviations f.om security standards; monitoring malicious behaviors and accurately tracing their sources; and establishing strong controls to ef.ectively repel and prevent such threats. Silicon carbide f.ber reinf.rced silicon carbide matrix.SiC_(f./SiC)composite is the key cladding material of.nuclear f.el,which determines the saf.ty and reliability of.nuclear f.el storage and *** replacement of.its storage and transportation scenario needs to be completed by the manipulator,but the application of.SiC_(f./SiC wear,f.acture,and nuclear leakage in the snatching process of.brittle-f.ex.ble-rigid contact in the irradiation environment has been seriously restricted due to unclear understanding of.the damage ***,the ef.ects of.irradiation dose and clamping load on the f.iction characteristics of.the contact interf.ce between SiC_(f./SiC clad tube are studied in this paper,and the ef.ects of.irradiation parameters and clamping f.rce on the static f.iction coef.icient of.the contact interf.ce between the clad tube and f.ex.ble nitrile are *** on the Greenwood-Williamson tribological model,a numerical model of.the shape and structure of.the contact micro-convex.at the micro-scale of.the clamping interf.ce is constructed by introducing the multi-surf.ce integral,and f.nally verif.ed by *** research results show that there is a unique“Irradiation suppression zone”under the clamping condition of.SiC_(f./SiC cladding tube under the nuclear irradiation environment,and the growth of.static f.iction coef.icient slows down until stagnates af.er irradiation reaches a certain ex.ent(600 kGy),and there will be a decline when the irradiation dose continues to increase,among which the clamping f.rce of.15.2 N within the irradiation interval of.1,000 kGy can meet the saf.ty of.nuclear environment *** results of.this paper can provide an important theoretical basis and application guidance f.r the saf. operation of.SiC_(f./SiC cladding tubes in the storage and transportation clamping process.

Ni_(47)Ti_(44)Nb_(9)shape memory alloy(SMA)is a promising material in the aerospace f.eld due to its wide transf.rmation *** application of.shape memory ef.ect depends on multistep thermomechan-ical loading,viz.,low-temperature def.rmation and subsequent heating to ***-temperature def.rmation prestrain plays a pivotal role in shape memory properties tailoring of.SMA ***,microstructure evolution and def.rmation mechanisms of.Ni_(47)Ti_(44)Nb_(9)SMA subjected to vari-ous prestrain levels are still *** this end,microstructure evolution and shape memory behaviors of.Ni_(47)Ti_(44)Nb_(9)alloy subjected to multistep thermomechanical loading with prestrain levels of.8%-16%at-28℃(M_(s)+30℃)were *** results demonstrate that the stress-strain curve of.the specimen ex.ibits f.ur distinct stages at a max.mal prestrain of.16%.Whereas stageⅡand stageⅢend at prestrains of.8%and∼12%,*** stageⅡ,the stress-induced martensitic transf.rmation is accompanied by the dislocation slip of.the NiTi matrix.andβ-Nb *** stageⅢ,in addition to the higher density of.dislocations and f.rther growth of.stress-induced martensite variants(SIMVs),(001)compound twins are introduced as a result of.the(001)def.rmation twinning in stress-induced ***{20-1}martensite twins are gradually introduced in stageⅣ.Correspondingly,af.er subsequent unloading and heating,a higher density of.114}austenite twins f.rm in the specimen with a larger prestrain of.16%.With increasing prestrain f.om 8%to 16%,the recoverable strainε_(re)^(T)upon heating increases f.rst and then ***ε_(re)^(T)obtains a max.mum of.7.03%at 10%prestrain and de-creases to 6.17%at 16%*** increase of._(re)^(T)can be attributed to the f.rmation of.new SIMVs,the f.rther growth of.ex.sting SIMVs,and the recoverable(001)compound *** the decrease of._(re)^(T)is mainly associated with the irrecoverable strain by{20−1}martensite *** ef.e

LiBH_(4) containing 18.5 wt.%H_(2) is an attractive high-capacity hydrogen storage material,however,it suf.ers f.om high operation temperature and poor ***,a novel and low-cost bif.nctional additive,wax.erry-like f._(3)O_(4) secondary nanospheres assembled f.om ultraf.ne primary f._(3)O_(4) nanoparticles,is synthesized,which ex.ibits signif.cant destabilization and bidirectional catalyzation towards(de)hydrogenation of.LiBH_(4).With an optimized addition of.30 wt.% wax.erry-like f._(3)O_(4),the system initiated dehydrogenation below 100℃ and released a total of.8.1 wt.%H_(2) to 400℃.Af.er 10 cycles,a capacity retention of.70% was achieved,greatly superior to previously reported ox.des-modif.ed *** destabilizing and catalyzing mechanisms of.wax.erry-like f._(3)O_(4) on LiBH_(4) were systematically analyzed by phase and microstructural evolutions during dehydrogenation and hydrogenation cycling as well as density f.nctional theory(Df.)*** present work provides new insights in developing advanced nano-additives with unique structural and multif.nctional designs towards LiBH4 hydrogen storage.
