Layer-structured Ruddlesden–Popper(RP)perovskites(RPPs)with decent stability have captured the imagination of the photovoltaic research community and bring hope for boosting the development of perovskite solar cell(PSC)***,two-dimensional(2D)or quasi-2D RP PSCs are encountered with some challenges of the large exciton binding energy,blocked charge transport and poor film quality,which restrict their photovoltaic ***,these issues can be readily resolved by rationally designing spacer cations of *** review mainly focuses on how to design the molecular structures of organic spacers and aims to endow RPPs with outstanding photovoltaic *** firstly elucidated the important roles of organic spacers in impacting crystallization kinetics,charge transporting ability and stability of *** we brought three aspects to attention for designing organic ***,we presented the specific molecular structure design strategies for organic spacers of RPPs aiming to improve photovoltaic performance of RP *** proposed strategies in this review will provide new avenues to develop novel organic spacers for RPPs and advance the development of RPP photovoltaic technology for future applications.

Highly chemiluminescent magnetic mesoporous carbon composites Fe_3O_4@void@C with yolk-shell structure

In this work,highly chemiluminescent magnetic mesoporous carbon with yolk-shell structure was synthesized by encapsulating N-(4-aminobutyl)-N-ethylisoluminol(ABEI)and Co^(2+)into the magnetic mesoporous carbon composites(Co^(2+)-ABEI-Fe_3O_4@void@C).The synthetic Co^(2+)-ABEI-Fe_3O_4@void@C showed a good magnetic separation property,which could remove residual ABEI molecules and Co^(2+)in less than 3 min under an external ***,the synthetic Co^(2+)-ABEI-Fe_3O_4@void@C demonstrated good chemiluminescence(CL)property and good stability when interacted with alkaline H_2O_*** CL intensity of such Co^(2+)-ABEI-Fe_3O_4@void@C was about 120 times higher than that of ABEI-Fe_3O_4@void@*** Co^(2+)-ABEI-Fe_3O_4@void@C also exhibited good electrochemiluminescence(ECL)property in alkaline *** outstanding CL/ECL performance of the Co^(2+)-ABEI-Fe_3O_4@void@C was attributed to the Co^(2+)immobilized in the Co^(2+)-ABEI-Fe_3O_4@void@C,which catalyzed the decomposition of H_2O_2to generate O_2^(·-)and HO~·,expediting the CL/ECL *** synthetic Co^(2+)-ABEI-Fe_3O_4@void@C may be of great application for the development of new methodologies in bioanalysis.

Test of the Louis scheme and COARE algorithm for friction velocity in different wind-sea/swell regimes

The Louis scheme and the COARE algorithm （version 3.0） are tested against eddy covariance and inertial dissipation methods for friction velocity estimates in different wind-sea/swell regimes. Atmospheric forcing data, tabulated by Donelan et al. （1997.J Phys Oceanog, 27：2087-2099）, were collected from a mast on the foredeck of a SWATH （small water-plane area, twin hull） ship in deep sea off the State of Virginia during the surface wave dynamics experiment. These data are representative of low to moderate wind regimes. The aerodynamic roughness length is determined by using the Charnock relationship. The intercomparison shows that the Louis scheme and the COARE algorithm underestimate the friction velocity by 6% and 3% respectively under pure wind sea conditions, 15% and 13% respectively under cross swell conditions, and 21% and 17% respectively under counter swell conditions. The analysis shows that these underestimations were caused by the method chosen to determine the aerodynamic roughness length because it significantly underestimates the aerodynamic roughness length. It is especially true under the cross swell and counter swell conditions.

Fe3O4 encapsulated mesoporous silica nanospheres with tunable size and large void pore

Magnetic Fe3O4 and mesoporous silica core- shell nanospheres with tunable size from 110-800 nm were synthesized via a one step self-assembly method. The morphological, structural, textural, and magnetic proper- ties were well-characterized by scanning electron micro- scopy, transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, N2 adsorption-desorption and magnetometer. These nanocomposites, which possess high surface area, large pore volume and well-defined pore size, exhibit two dimensional hexagonal （P6mm） mesostructures. Interest- ingly, magnetic core and mesoporous silica shell nano- composites with large void pore （20 nm） on the shell were generated by increasing the ratio of ethanol/water. Additionally, the obtained nanocomposites combined magnetization response and large void pore, implying the possibility of applications in drug/gene targeting delivery. The cell internalization capacity of NH2-functionalized nanocomposites in the case of cancer cells （HeLa cells） was exemplified to demonstrate their nano-medicine application.

A dual-pass data assimilation scheme for estimating surface fluxes with FY3A-VIRR land surface temperature

In this work, a dual-pass data assimilation scheme is developed to improve predictions of surface flux. Pass 1 of the dual-pass data assimilation scheme optimizes the model vegetation parameters at the weekly temporal scale, and Pass 2 optimizes the soil moisture at the daily temporal scale. Based on ensemble Kalman filter(EnKF), the land surface temperature(LST) data derived from the new generation of Chinese meteorology satellite(FY3A-VIRR) are assimilated into common land model(CoLM) for the first time. Six sites, Daman, Guantao, Arou, BJ, Miyun and Jiyuan, are selected for the data assimilation experiments and include different climatological conditions. The results are compared with those from a dataset generated by a multi-scale surface flux observation system that includes an automatic weather station(AWS), eddy covariance(EC) and large aperture scintillometer(LAS). The results indicate that the dual-pass data assimilation scheme is able to reduce model uncertainties and improve predictions of surface flux with the assimilation of FY3A-VIRR LST data.

Preparation of Ag@AgCl-doped TiO_2/sepiolite and its photocatalytic mechanism under visible light

A cube-like Ag@Ag Cl-doped TiO2/sepiolite（denoted Ag@Ag Cl–TiO2/sepiolite） was successfully synthesized via a novel method. X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersion X-ray fluorescence, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and diffuse reflectance ultraviolet–visible spectroscopy were performed to determine the structure and physicochemical properties of Ag@Ag Cl–TiO2/sepiolite. SEM micrographs revealed that Ag@Ag Cl nanoparticles and TiO2 film are well deposited on the surface of tube-like sepiolite. As a result, Ag@Ag Cl–TiO2/sepiolite exhibits a red shift relative to TiO2/sepiolite. Photocatalytic experiments demonstrated that the dosage of catalysts plays an important role during photocatalysis. The photoelectrochemical activities of Ag@Ag Cl–TiO2/sepiolite and TiO2/sepiolite were also investigated. Photocurrent responses confirmed that the ability of Ag@Ag Cl–TiO2/sepiolite to separate photo-generated electron–hole pairs is stronger than that of TiO2/sepiolite. Methylene Blue degradation is also improved under alkaline conditions and visible light irradiation because more UOH is produced by visible light *** excellent catalytic ability is mainly attributed to the formed Ag nanoparticles and the Schottky barrier at the Ag/TiO2 interface. Active species analysis indicated that UO2-and h＋are implicated as active species in photocatalysis. Therefore, catalysts are excited to produce abundant electron–hole pairs after they absorb photons in photocatalysis.

Non-precious metal nitrogen-doped carbonaceous materials have attracted tremendous attention in the field of electrochemical energy storage and ***,we report the designed synthesis of a novel series of Co-N-C nanocomposites and their evaluation of electrochemical *** yolkshell structured Co nanoparticles@polymer materials are fabricated from the facile coating polymer strategy on the surface of *** calcination in nitrogen atmosphere,the Co–N–C nanocomposites in which cobalt metal nanoparticles are embedded in the highly porous and graphitic carbon matrix are successfully *** cobalt nanoparticles containing cobalt metal crystallites with an oxidized shell and/or smaller(or amorphous)cobalt-oxide deposits appear on the surface of graphitic *** prepared Co–N–C nanoparticles showed favorable electrocatalytic activity for oxygen reduction reactions,which is attributed to its high graphitic degree,large surface area and the large amount existence of Co–N active sites.

Metals and metal oxides are widely used as photo/electro-catalysts for environmental ***,there are many issues related to these metal-based catalysts for practical applications,such as high cost and detrimental environmental impact due to metal ***-based catalysts have the potential to overcome these *** this study,monodisperse nitrogen-doped carbon nanospheres(NCs)were synthesized and loaded onto graphitic carbon nitride(g-C3N4,GCN)via a facile hydrothermal method for photocatalytic removal of sulfachloropyridazine(SCP).The prepared metal-free GCN-NC exhibited remarkably enhanced efficiency in SCP *** nitrogen content in NC critically influences the physicochemical properties and performances of the resultant *** optimum nitrogen doping concentration was identified at 6.0 wt%.The SCP removal rates can be improved by a factor of 4.7 and 3.2,under UV and visible lights,by the GCN-NC composite due to the enhanced charge mobility and visible light *** mechanism of the improved photocatalytic performance and band structure alternation were further investigated by density functional theory(DFT)*** DFT results confirm the high capability of the GCN-NC hybrids to activate the electron–hole pairs by reducing the band gap energy and efficiently separating electron/hole *** and hydroxyl radicals are subsequently produced,leading to the efficient SCP removal.

Assessment and improvement of Noah-MP for simulating water and heat exchange over alpine grassland in growing season

Alpine grassland is the main ecosystem of the Tibetan Plateau(TP),thus accurate simulation of water and heat exchange in the grassland will significantly enhance the understanding of the land-atmosphere interaction process on the *** this study,we assessed and improved the ensemble numerical simulations of the community Noah land surface model with multiparameterization options(Noah-MP)by using observations collected from four alpine grassland observation *** four observation sites belong to the upper Heihe River Basin Integrated Observatory Network located in the northeastern part of the ***,an ensemble of 1008 numerical simulation experiments,based on multiparameterization options of seven physical processes/variables in the Noah-MP,was carried out for the vegetation growing *** Taylor skill score was then used to assess the model performance and select the optimal combination of parameterization options for a more exact simulation of the water and heat exchange in alpine *** accuracy of Noah-MP simulation was further improved by introducing new parameterizations of thermal roughness length,soil hydraulic properties,and vertical root *** was found that:(1)Simulation of water and heat exchange over alpine grassland in the growing season was mainly affected by the parameterizations of dynamic vegetation,canopy stomatal resistance,runoff and groundwater dynamics,and surface exchange coefficient for heat *** of different parameterization options for these four physical processes/variables led to large differences in the simulation of water and heat fluxes.(2)The optimal combination of parameterization options selected in the current Noah-MP framework suffered from significant overestimation of sensible heat flux(H)and underestimation of soil moisture(θ)at all observation sites.(3)The overestimation of H was significantly improved by introducing a new parameterization of thermal roughness ***,the u
