Monitoring models for base flow effect and daily variation of dam seepage elements considering time lag effect

Affected by external environmental factors and evolution of dam performance, dam seepage behavior shows nonlinear time-varying characteristics. In this study, to predict and evaluate the long-term development trend and short-term fluctuation of the dam seepage behavior, two monitoring models were developed, one for the base flow effect and one for daily variation of dam seepage elements. In the first model, to avoid the influence of the time lag effect on the evaluation of seepage variation with the time effect component of seepage elements, the base values of the seepage element and the reservoir water level were extracted using the wavelet multi-resolution analysis method, and the time effect component was separated by the established base flow effect monitoring model. For the development of the daily variation monitoring model for dam seepage elements, all the previous factors, of which the measured time series prior to the dam seepage element monitoring time may have certain influence on the monitored results, were considered. Those factors that were positively correlated with the analyzed seepage element were initially considered to be the support vector machine(SVM) model input factors, and then the SVM kernel function-based sensitivity analysis was performed to optimize the input factor set and establish the optimized daily variation SVM model. The efficiency and rationality of the two models were verified by case studies of the water level of two piezometric tubes buried under the slope of a concrete gravity *** analysis of the optimized SVM model shows that the influences of the daily variation of the upstream reservoir water level and rainfall on the daily variation of piezometric tube water level are processes subject to normal distribution.

AIM： To study the relationship between hepatitis B virus （HBV） DNA levels and liver histology in patients with chronic hepatitis B （CHB） and to determine the prevalence and characteristics of hepatitis B e antigen （HBeAg） negative patients.METHODS： A total of 213 patients with CHB were studied, and serum HBV DNA levels were measured by the COBAS Amplicor HBV Monitor test. All patients were divided into two groups according to the HBeAg *** correlation between serum HBV DNA levels and liver damage （liver histology and biochemistry） was explored.RESULTS： Of the 213 patients with serum HBV DNA levels higher than 10^5 copies/mL, 178 （83.6%） were HBeAg positive, 35 （16.4%） were HBeAg negative. The serum HBV DNA levels were not correlated to the age,history of CHB, histological grade and stage of liver disease in either HBeAg negative or HBeAg positive patients. There was no correlation between serum levels of HBV DNA and alanine aminotransferanse （ALT）,aspartate aminotrans-ferase （AST） in HBeAg positive patients. In HBeAg negative patients, there was no correlation between serum levels of HBV DNA and AST,while serum DNA levels correlated with ALT （r = 0.351, P = 0.042）. The grade （G） of liver disease correlated with ALT and AST （P 〈 0.05, r = 0.205, 0.327 respectively）in HBeAg positive patients. In HBeAg negative patients,correlations were shown between ALT, AST and the G （P 〈 0.01, and r = 0.862, 0.802 respectively）. HBeAg negative patients were older （35 ± 9 years vs 30 ±9 years, P 〈 0.05 ） and had a longer history of HBV infection （8 ± 4 years vs 6 ± 4 years, P 〈 0.05） and a lower HBV DNA level than HBeAg positive patients （8.4± 1.7 Log HBV DNA vs 9.8 ± 1.3 Log HBV DNA, P 〈0.001）. There were no significant differences in sex ratio,ALT and AST levels and liver histology between the two groups.CONCLUSION： Serum HBV DNA level is not correlated to histological grade or stage of liver disease in CHB patients with HBV DNA more than 10^5 copies/*** to HB

By using the relativistic quantum magnetohydrodynamic model, the extraordinary electromagnetic waves in magnetized quantum plasmas are investigated with the effects of particle dispersion associated with the quantum Bohm potential effects, the electron spin-1/2 effects, and the relativistic degenerate pressure effects. The electrons are treated as a quantum and magnetized species, while the ions are classical ones. The new general dispersion relations are derived and analyzed in some interesting special cases. Quantum effects are shown to affect the dispersion relations of the extraordinary electromagnetic waves. It is also shown that the relativistic degenerate pressure effects significantly modify the dispersive properties of the extraordinary electromagnetic waves. The present investigation should be useful for understanding the collective interactions in dense astrophysical bodies,such as the atmosphere of neutron stars and the interior of massive white dwarfs.

AIM: To investigate the diagnostic standard for earlyidentification of severe acute cholangitis in order to lowerthe incidence of morbidity and mortality ***: A diagnostic standard was proposed in thisstudy as follows: documented biliary duct obstruction byultrasound or computerized tomography or other imagingtools with the manifestation of systemic inflammatoryresponse syndrome (SIRS). The surgical proceduresincluded emergency common bile duct exploration with Ttube insertion or cholecystostomy with secondary commonbile duct exploration. And incidence of postoperativemultiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS), duration ofsystemic inflammatory response and hospital mortality ***: Fourty - three patients conforming to thediagnostic standard described above were employed in thisstudy. 1 patient was admitted in acutely ill condition andcomplicated with acute relapse of chronic bronchitis,cholecystostomy procedure was performed but the patientwas complicated with postoperative acute lung injury whiclwas treated by assisted mechanical ventilation for 5 d; 2 wllater, two- stage common bile duct Exploration and T tubeinsertion were performed. The remaining 42 patientsunderwent primary common bile duct exploration and T tubeinsertion, 1 developed acute lung injury and recovered 3 dlater, 2 patients developedl acute renal dysfunction, 1 ofwhich recovered 2 d later and the other died on d 4. For allpatients, the postoperative systemic inflammatory responsepersisted for 2 to 8 d with median of 3 ***: Early diagnosis of severe acute cholangitiscan be made using this diagnostic standard, furtherdevelopment of systemic inflammatory response could beprevented and incidence of MODS as well as hospitalmortality decreased.

Background：Preterm birth （PTB） is the leading cause of perinatal morbidity and mortality worldwide,and its prevention is an important health-care *** cervical incompetence is a well-known risk factor for PTB and its incidence is about 0.1-2.0%,while there is no ideal optimum treatment recommended *** cervical incompetence causes about 15% of habitual abortion in 16-28 *** study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of cervical cerclage and vaginal progesterone in the treatment of cervical incompetence with/without PTB ***：We retrospectively observed the pregnancy outcome of 198 patients diagnosed with cervical incompetence from January 2010 to October 2015 in Beijing *** the 198 women involved,women who had at least one PTB before 32 weeks （including abortion in the second trimester attributed to the cervical competence） were assigned to the PTB history cohort,and others were assigned to the non-PTB history *** women underwent cerclage placement （cervical cerclage group） or administrated with vaginal progesterone （vaginal progesterone group） until *** outcomes of interest were the differences in gestational age at delivery,the rate of premature delivery,neonatal outcome,complications,and route of delivery between the two treatment ***：Among the 198 patients with cervical incompetence,116 patients in PTB history cohort and 80 patients in non-PTB history cohort were included in the final *** the PTB history cohort,cervical cerclage group had significantly longer cervical length at 2 weeks after the start of treatment （23.1 ± 4.6 mm vs.12.4 ± 9.1 mm,P =0.002）,higher proportion of delivery ≥37 weeks＇ gestation （63.4% vs.33.3%,P =0.008）,bigger median birth weight （2860 g vs.2250 g,P =0.031）,and lower proportion of neonates whose 1-min Apgar score 〈7 （5.9% vs.33.3%,P =0.005）,compared with vaginal progesterone *** significant differences were found in other outcome measures be

The underlying physics of QCD phase transition in the early Universe remains largely unknown due to its strong-coupling nature during the quark-gluon plasma/hadron gas transition, yet a holographic model has been proposed to quantitatively fit the lattice QCD data while with its duration of the first-order phase transition(FoPT) left undetermined. At specific baryon chemical potential, the first-order QCD phase transition agrees with the observational constraint of baryon asymmetry. It, therefore, provides a scenario for phase transition gravitational waves(GWs) within the standard model of particle physics. If these background GWs could contribute dominantly to the recently claimed common-spectrum red noise from pulsar timing array(PTA) observations, the duration of this FoPT can be well constrained, and the associated primordial black holes are still allowed by current observations.
