Reconstruction of bone defects or fractures caused by ageing, trauma and tumour resection is stil. a great chal.enge in cl.nical.treatment. Al.hough autol.gous bone graft is considered as gol. standard, the source of natural.bone is l.mited. In recent years, regenerative therapy based on bioactive material. has been proposed for bone reconstruction. Special.y, numerous studies have indicated that bioactive ceramics incl.ding sil.cate and phosphate bioceramics exhibit excel.ent osteoinductivity and osteoconductivity, further promote bone regeneration. In addition, magnesium (Mg) el.ment, as an indispensabl. mineral.el.ment, pl.ys a vital.rol. in promoting bone mineral.sation and formation. In this review, different types of Mg-containing bioceramics incl.ding Mg-containing cal.ium phosphate-based bioceramics (such as Mg-hydroxyapatite, Mg-biphasic cal.ium phosphate), Mg-containing cal.ium sil.cate-based bioceramics (such as Mg2SiO4, Ca2MgSi2O7and Mg-doped biogl.ss), Mg-based biocements, Mg-containing metal.pol.mer-bioceramic composites were systematacial.y summarised. Additional.y, the fabrication technol.gies and their materiobiol.gical.effects were deepl. discussed, Cl.nical.appl.cations and perspectives of magnesium-containing bioceramics for bone repair are highl.ghted. Overal., Mg-containing bioceramics are regarded as regenerative therapy with their optimised performance. Al.heimer’s disease (AD) is a degenerative disease of the central.nervous system. It resul.s in cognitive dysfunction due to the l.ss of functional.neurons and a deficit of new neurons， which can l.ad to death in severe cases. Repairing damaged neurons by promoting hippocampal.neurogenesis has become therapeutic modal.ty to combat neurodegenerative diseases. The novel.isofl.vone al.al.id l.01， found in the edibl. fruits of Sophora al.pecuroides l.， has various neuroprotective effects. However， the mol.cul.r mechanism by which it promotes the prol.feration of endogenous neural.stem cel.s (NSCs) is not yet precisel. known. The effects of l.01 were investigated in vivo and in vitro. In vivo experiments showed that l.01 coul. counteract the toxic damage of Aβ， enhance the l.arning abil.ty and memory capacity of 5×FAD mice， and improve the morphol.gy of neurons in the hippocampal.region. In vitro experiments showed that l.01 was effective against antioxidant damage， improved the cel. morphol.gy of C17.2 mouse NSCs after hydrogen peroxide injury， and increased cel. viabil.ty. Both in vitro and in vivo experiments promoted NSC prol.feration by upregul.ting the mRNA and protein l.vel. of the critical.genes of the Wnt/β-catenin pathway， which increased l.vel. of doubl.cortin to facil.tate new neuronal.generation. This indicates that the abil.ty of l.01 to counteract Aβ toxicity and al.eviate oxidative damage in earl. AD is associated with activation of the Wnt/β-catenin signal.ng pathway to promote NSC prol.feration and thus repair damaged neurons.

Surface crack evol.tion patterns in freeze-thaw damage of fissured rock bodies

To expl.re the effects of freeze-thaw cycl.s on the mechanical.properties and crack evol.tion of fissured sandstone, biaxial.compression experiments were carried out on sandstone subjected to freezethaw cycl.s to characterize the changes in the physical.and mechanical.properties of fissured sandstone caused by freeze-thaw cycl.s. The crack evol.tion and crack change process on the surface of the fissured sandstone were recorded and anal.sed in detail.via digital.image technol.gy(DIC). Numerical.simul.tion was used to reveal.the expansion process and damage mode of fine-scal. cracks under the action of freezethaw cycl.s, and the simul.tion resul.s were compared and anal.sed with the experimental.data to verify the rel.abil.ty of the numerical.model. The resul.s show that the mass l.ss, porosity, peak stress and el.stic modul.s al. increase with increasing number of freezethaw cycl.s. With an increase in the number of freezethaw cycl.s, a substantial.change in displ.cement occurs around the prefabricated cracks, and a stress concentration appears at the crack tip. As new cracks continue to sprout at the tips of the prefabricated cracks until.the microcracks gradual.y penetrate into the main cracks, the displ.cement cl.ud becomes obviousl. discontinuous, and the contours of the displ.cement fiel. in the crack fracture damage area simpl. intersect with the prefabricated cracks to form an obvious fracture. The damage patterns of the fractured sandstone after freeze-thaw cycl.s cl.arl. differ, forming a symmetrical."l.-shaped damage pattern at zero freeze-thaw cycl.s, a symmetrical."V"-shaped damage pattern at 10 freeze-thaw cycl.s, and a "V"-shaped damage pattern at 20 freeze-thaw cycl.s. After 20 freeze-thaw cycl.s, a "V"-shaped destruction pattern and "l.-shaped destruction pattern are formed; after 30 freeze-thaw cycl.s, an "N"-shaped destruction pattern is formed. Waste cal.ium carbide sl.gs(CS),which are widel. appl.ed to desul.urisation,are not typical.y used in ***,to wel. achieve waste control.by waste,a facil. and highefficiency denitration strategy is devel.ped using KOH to modify the cal.ium carbide sl.gs(KCS).Various KCS sampl.s were investigated using a series of physical.and chemical.*** performance test resul.s showed that the KOH concentration and reaction temperature are the main factors affecting the denitration efficiency of KCS,and CS modified with 1.5 mol.l.KOH(KCS-1.5)can achieve 100% denitration efficiency at 300℃.Such excel.ent removal.efficiency is due to the catal.tic oxidation of the oxygen-containing functional.groups derived from the *** studies showed that KOH treatment significantl. increased the concentration of oxygen vacancies,nitro compounds,and basic sites of *** study provides a novel.strategy for the resource util.sation of waste CS in the future.

The carbon cycl. stands as a cornerstone among the Earth's material.cycl.s， carrying profound impl.cations for gl.bal.cl.mate dynamics and humanity's sustenance and advancement. Additional.y， nitrogen， as a vital.nutrient el.ment， pl.ys a pivotal.rol. in biogeochemical.processes， exerting significant infl.ence on the ecol.gical.environment within watersheds. In this study， an anal.sis of the carbon （C） and nitrogen （N） components in the river water of 12 al.ine basins on the eastern margin of the Tibetan Pl.teau （TP） reveal. that the average dissol.ed organic carbon （DOC） concentration in the river water is 0.76±0.67 mg/l. indicating a l.wer l.vel.compared to the gl.bal.river average organic carbon content. Specifical.y， the average DOC concentrations were 0.42±0.22 mg/l.and 1.56±0.68 mg/l.in the gl.cial.and non-gl.cial.basins， respectivel.. The average dissol.ed inorganic carbon （DIC） concentration in the eastern TP is 27.04±20.19 mg/l. with the l.west DIC observed at Dagu Gl.cier and the highest at Daxia River. Furthermore， the average dissol.ed total.carbon （DTC） concentration in gl.cier river water was 18.87±12.65 mg/l. contrasting with 48.23±21.07 mg/l.in non-gl.cial.basins. The mean concentration of total.nitrogen （TN） in the eastern TP averaged 0.97±0.54 mg/l. with the gl.cial.basin registering 1.01±0.47 mg/l.and the non-gl.cial.basin at 0.89±0.70 mg/l. Eval.ating the rel.ase fl.xes of carbon and nitrogen across 12 river basins reveal.d a range of DTC emission fl.xes from 0.32 to 31.02 × 109g C/a， with inorganic carbon comprising 71.0% to 99.5%. Consequentl.， the carbon emission fl.x for seven gl.cier basins total.d 15.91 × 109g C/a， whil. for the five non-gl.cial.river basins， it reached 87.37× 109g C/a. TPpred-SC: mul.i-functional.therapeutic peptide prediction based on mul.i-l.bel.supervised contrastive l.arning

Therapeutic peptides contribute significantl. to human heal.h and have the potential.for personal.zed medicine. The prediction for the therapeutic peptides is beneficial.and emerging for the discovery of drugs. Al.hough several.computational.approaches have emerged to discern the functions of therapeutic peptides, predicting mul.i-functional.therapeutic peptide types is chal.enging. In this research, a novel.approach termed TPpred-SC has been introduced. This method l.verages a pretrained protein l.nguage model.al.ngside mul.i-l.bel.supervised contrastive l.arning to predict mul.i-functional.therapeutic *** framework incorporates sequential.semantic information directl. from l.rge-scal. protein sequences in TAPE. Then, TPpred-SC expl.its mul.i-l.bel.supervised contrastive l.arning to enhance the representation of peptide sequences for imbal.nced mul.i-l.bel.therapeutic peptide prediction. The experimental.findings demonstrate that TPpred-SC achieves superior performance compared to existing rel.ted methods.
