The coupling effect of heat absorption and release exists in the thermal decomposition of a few chemical ***,the impact of the above coupling on thermal hazard assessment is not considered in the literature *** this work,nitroguanidine(NQ)and 1,3,5-trinitro-1,3,5-triazine(RDX)are selected as representative materials to explore the influence of the coupling effect on the thermal hazard assessment of chemical *** linear heating experiments of NQ and RDX are carried out by a microcalorimeter and synchronous thermal *** thermal decomposition curves are decoupled by advanced thermokinetics *** thermal decomposition and kinetic parameters before and after decoupling are *** results of TG experiment show that both NQ and RDX began to lose mass during the endothermic *** endothermic melting and exothermic decomposition of NQ and RDX are coupled within this *** coupling effect has different degrees of influence on its initial decomposition temperature and safety *** with the parameters in the coupling state,the initial decomposition temperature and adiabatic induction period after decoupling *** self-accelerating decomposition temperature increases,and internal thermal runaway time *** the thermal hazard assessment of chemical materials with coupling effects,the calculated parameters after decoupling should be taken as an important safety index。

Porous materials are widely used in the field of protection because of their excellent energy absorption *** this work,a series of polyurethane microscopic models are established and the effect of porosity on the shock waves is studied with classical molecular dynamics ***,shock Hugoniot relations for different porosities are obtained,which compare well with the experimental *** pores collapse and form local stress wave,which results in the complex multi-wave structure of the shock *** microstructure analysis shows that the local stress increases and the local velocity decreases gradually during the process of pore collapse to complete ***,it leads to stress relaxation and velocity *** shock stress peaks can be fitted with two exponential functions,and the amplitude of attenuation coefficient decreases with the increase of ***,the pore collapse under shock or non-shock are discussed by the entropy increase rate of the *** energy is dissipated mainly through the multiple interactions of the waves under *** energy is dissipated mainly by the friction between atoms under non-shock.

Millimeter-wave transmission combined with Orbital Angular Momentum(OAM)has the advantage of reducing the loss of beam power and increasing the system ***,to fulfill this advantage,the antennas at the transmitter and receiver must be parallel and coaxial;otherwise,the accuracy of mode detection at the receiver can be seriously *** this paper,we design an OAM millimeter-wave communication system for overcoming the above ***,the first contribution is that the power distribution between different OAM modes and the capacity of the system with different mode sets are analytically derived for performance *** second contribution lies in that a novel mode selection scheme is proposed to reduce the total interference between different *** results show that system performance is less affected by the offset when the mode set with smaller modes or larger intervals is selected.

Chilled chicken is inevitably contaminated by microorganisms during slaughtering and processing,resulting in *** parts of chilled chicken,especially wings,feet,and other skin-on products,are abundant in collagen,which may be the primary target for degradation by spoilage *** this work,a total of 17 isolates of spoilage bacteria that could secrete both collagenase and lipase were determined by raw-chicken juice agar(RJA)method,and the results showed that 7 strains of Serratia,Aeromonas,and Pseudomonas could significantly decompose the collagen *** gelatin zymography showed that Serratia liquefaciens(F5)and(G7)had apparent degradation bands around 50 kDa,and Aeromonas veronii(G8)and Aeromonas salmonicida(H8)had a band around.65 and 95 kDa,*** lipase and collagenase activities were detected isolate-by-isolate,with F5 showing the highest collagenase *** spoilage ability on meat in situ,F5 performed strongest in spoilage ability,indicated by the total viable counts,total volatile basic nitrogen content,sensory scores,lipase,and collagenase *** study provides a theoretical basis for spoilage heterogeneity of strains with high-producing collagenase in meat.

Probing the interseismic locking state of the Xianshuihe fault based on a viscoelastic deformation model

The interseismic locking state of tectonic faults is essential for regional seismic hazard ***,it is challenging to obtain this parameter reliably due to the weak deformation and complex model *** better probe the fault locking state,more reliable physical models and well-covered observations are *** we investigate the locking state of the Xianshuihe fault based on a new-developed viscoelastic deformation ***,we combine GPS velocities from 13 new near-field stations and existing stations in this region to improve the spatial *** to the theoretical predictions,our results indicate that the elastic model will clearly overestimate the fault locking depth and seismic moment accumulation rate,and the fault slip rate inferred from the elastic model is slightly lower than that from the viscoelastic *** on the locking distribution inferred from the viscoelastic model,we identify four potential asperities on the Xianshuihe *** importantly,we find a clear spatial correlation between the fault locking distribution and the rupture extent of historical earthquakes,which indicates that the fault locking state may control the rupture extent and thus the magnitude of *** addition,our results show that the 2022 M6.8 Luding earthquake only ruptured the south part of a potential asperity,and the accumulated energy in the northern unruptured area is equivalent to an Mw6.9 earthquake,where the seismic hazard deserves special attention.

Conversion of solar energy into H_(2) by photoelectrochemical(PEC)water splitting is recognized as an ideal way to address the growing energy crisis and environmental *** a typical PEC cell,the construction of photoanodes is crucial to guarantee the high efficiency and stability of PEC reactions,which fundamentally rely on rationally designed semiconductors(as the active materials)and substrates(as the current collectors).In this review work,we start with a brief introduction of the roles of substrates in the PEC ***,we provide a systematic overview of representative strategies for the controlled fabrication of photoanodes on rationally designed substrates,including conductive glass,metal,sapphire,silicon,silicon carbide,and flexible ***,some prospects concerning the challenges and research directions in this area are proposed.

Understanding plant water-use patterns is important for improving water-use efficiency and for sustainable vegetation restoration in arid and semi-arid regions. However, seasonal variations in water sources and their control by different sand-fixing plants in water-limited desert ecosystems remain poorly understood. In this study, stable isotopic ratios of hydrogen(δ^(2)H) and oxygen(δ^(18)O) in precipitation, soil water, groundwater, and xylem water were determined to document seasonal changes in water uptake by three representative plant species(Pinus sylvestris var. mongolica Litv., Amygdalus pedunculata Pall., and Salix psammophila) in the northeastern Mu Us sandy land, Northwest China. Based on the depth distribution and temporal variation of measured gravimetric soil water content(SWC), the soil water profile of the three species stands was divided into active(0.01 g g^(-1)45%) layers. Annually, P. sylvestris, A. pedunculata, and S. psammophila obtained most water from deep(59.2%±9.7%, moist layer and groundwater),intermediate(57.4%±9.8%, stable and moist layers), and shallow(54.4%±10.5%, active and stable layers) sources, respectively. Seasonally, the three plant species absorbed more than 60% of their total water uptake from the moist layer and groundwater in the early(June) dry season;then, they switched to the active and stable layers in the rainy season(July–September) for water resources(50.1%–62.5%). In the late(October–November) dry season, P. sylvestris(54.5%–66.2%) and A. pedunculata(52.9%–63.6%) mainly used water from stable and moist layers, whereas S. psammophila(52.6%–70.7%) still extracted water predominantly from active and stable layers. Digital twins and the physical assets of electric power systems face the potential risk of data loss and monitoring failures owing to catastrophic events,causing surveillance and energy *** study aims to refine maintenance strategies for the monitoring of an electric power digital twin system post ***,the research delineates the physical electric power system along with its digital counterpart and post-disaster restoration ***,it delves into communication and data processing mechanisms,specifically focusing on central data processing(CDP),communication routers(CRs),and phasor measurement units(PMUs),to re-establish an equipment recovery model based on these data transmission ***,it introduces a mathematical optimization model designed to enhance the digital twin system’s post-disaster monitoring efficacy by employing the branch-and-bound method for its *** efficacy of the proposed model was corroborated by analyzing an IEEE-14 *** findings suggest that the proposed branch-and-bound algorithm significantly augments the observational capabilities of a power system with limited resources,thereby bolstering its stability and emergency response mechanisms.
