Oxytrichidae s. l. ciliates usually have 18 frontal-ventral-transverse cirri which are clustered to six distinct groups usu- ally originating from six longitudinal primordia segregating 1, 3, 3, 3, 4, 4 cirri. During morphogenesis, three dorsal kinetics anlagen are primarily formed. Fragmentation of kinety 3 usually present, while sometimes secondarily lost. Dorsomarginal kineties are formed, while sometimes lost. Oxytrichids tend to have overlapping characters, e.g. cell shape and size, infraciliature, pellicle fea- tures. This makes a great problem for genera separation. In the present work, all typical 18 frontal-ventral-transverse-cirri Oxytrichi- dae s. 1. genera were revised systematically based on their living morphology, ciliature patterns and dorsal morphogenetic features. The outline of the genera, the schematic illustrations, and the key to typical 18 frontal-ventral-transverse-cirri genera of Oxytrichidae s. l. were clarified. Additionally, some morphological and morphogenetic patterns were summarized and compared.

Uncertainty principle is one of the most fascinating features of the quantum world. Parameters inversion of high central core rockfill dams based on a novel genetic algorithm

Parameters identification of rockfill materials is a crucial issue for high rockfill dams. Because of the scale effect, random sampling and sample disturbance, it is difficult to obtain the actual mechanical properties of rockfill from laboratory tests. Parameters inversion based on in situ monitoring data has been proven to be an efficient method for identifying the exact parameters of the rockfill. In this paper, we propose a modified genetic algorithm to solve the high-dimension multimodal and nonlinear optimal parameters inversion problem. A novel crossover operator based on the sum of differences in gene fragments(So DX) is proposed, inspired by the cloning of superior genes in genetic engineering. The crossover points are selected according to the difference in the gene fragments, defining the adaptive length. The crossover operator increases the speed and accuracy of algorithm convergence by reducing the inbreeding and enhancing the global search capability of the genetic algorithm. This algorithm is compared with two existing crossover operators. The modified genetic algorithm is then used in combination with radial basis function neural networks(RBFNN) to perform the parameters back analysis of a high central earth core rockfill dam. The settlements simulated using the identified parameters show good agreement with the monitoring data, illustrating that the back analysis is reasonable and accurate. The proposed genetic algorithm has considerable superiority for nonlinear multimodal parameter identification problems.

The cLVSM:A Novel Compact Linear Variable Stiffness Mechanism Based on Circular Beams

Variable stiffness mechanisms(VSMs)are a class of compliant mechanisms that can adjust their intrinsic stiffness,which promises to be beneficial in applications needed to interact with the environment,such as collaborative robots,wearable robots,and polishing *** paper presents the design and optimization of a novel linear VSM,called cLVSM,to produce linear motion,conversely to the majority of VSMs designed to perform rotary *** changing the effective length of specially designed circular beams,the cLVSM is capable of continuous stiffness regulation from a minimum value to almost *** from the VSMs which need rotation-to-translation converting mechanisms for stiffness regulation,the stiffness of the proposed design is adjusted by directly rotating the beams without the use of additional mechanisms,which contributes to improving the structural compactness,and reducing the energy loss and error in ***,the beam rotation needed to regulate the stiffness is almost perpendicular to the beam deflection force,which helps to reduce the torque needed for stiffness *** stiffness model of the proposed VSM is developed using the screw theory,and the design parameters are optimized using the genetic *** effectiveness of the mathematical model and the performance of the design are verified by simulation and experiments.

An air source heat pump(ASHP)with refrigerant injection is proposed for the air conditioning system of electric vehicles(EVs),especially for efficient heating in cold winter,when there is no wasted heat of *** simulation model is built with the framework of two-phase fluid network,where the compressor is separated as two compressors and the economizer is treated as two heat exchangers in the injection path and the main refrigerant *** the validated simulation model,the heating performance is analyzed,and the results show that the coefficient of performance(COP)of ASHP with refrigerant injection is higher than 1.4 and the discharge temperature is less than 100℃ when the outdoor temperature is-20℃.The above performance ensures that the air conditioning system and EVs can operate normally with high efficiency even in the cold winter,which is much helpful for the practicability of EVs.

56Cu is close to the waiting-point nucleus 56Ni and lies on the rapid proton capture（rp） process path in Type I X-ray bursts（XRBs）. In this work, we obtained a revised thermonuclear reaction rate of 55Ni（p,γ）56Cu in the temperature region relevant to XRBs. This rate was recalculated based on the recent experimental level structure in 56Cu, the recently measured proton separation energy of Sp = 579.8（7.1） keV, together with shell-model calculation, and the mirror nuclear structure in 56Co. The associated uncertainties in the rates were estimated by a Monte Carlo method. Our revised rate is significantly different from the recent results, which were partially based on experimental results; in addition, we found that a result in a previous work was incorrect. We recommend our revised rate to be incorporated in the future astrophysical network calculations.

Objective:Aconite is a traditional Chinese herbal medicine that has been found to inhibit the development of liver cancer;however,its exact molecular mechanisms in this process remain *** study explores how aconite aqueous extract(AAE)inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Methods:An in vivo mouse model of subcutaneous liver cancer was *** AAE treatment,immunohistochemistry(IHC)was used to determine the effect of AAE on natural killer(NK)***,C57BL/6 mice were used to establish the subcutaneous tumor model,and a group of these mice were treated with anti-PK163 antibody to remove NK cells,which was verified by flow cytometry and *** effect of AAE on the proliferation of HCC cells in vitro was determined using cell counting *** effect of AAE on chemokine production in HCC cells was measured using real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction and an enzyme-linked immunosorbent *** effect of AAE on the migration of NK cells was determined using a transwell ***,the molecular mechanism was investigated using the Western blotting ***:We demonstrated that the ability of AAE to induce overexpression of the cytokine C–C motif chemokine ligand 2(CCL2)in HCC cells is fundamental to the infiltration of NK cells into the tumor ***,we found that the upregulation of CCL2 was achieved by the activation of c-Jun Nterminal kinase but not extracellular regulated protein kinase or ***:Our findings suggest that AAE can be used as an effective immune adjuvant to enhance antitumor immunity by increasing NK cell infiltration into tumors,which could help to improve the efficacy of HCC treatments.

Numerical study of the acoustic spectrum of bubble clusters

This study delved into the acoustic spectrum of bubble clusters,each consisting of 352 vapor bubbles across volume fractions ranging from 0.005%to 40%.The clusters,organized in five distinct layers,were modeled using the volume of fluid(VOF)method to capture the bubble interfaces,and the Ffowcs Williams-Hawkings(FW-H)methodology to compute the far-field acoustic pressure from bubble *** analysis revealed distinct sound pressure behaviors across different volume fractions:For 25%–40%,time-domain analysis shows that the peak acoustic pressure pulses from the two innermost layers of bubbles are significantly higher than those from the outer *** the frequency domain,the octave decay rate of the acoustic pressure levels is relatively low,around−3dB/*** 0.5%–25%,four acoustic pressure pulses with similar widths and peak values were observed in the time *** the frequency domain,there are three distinct peaks in sound pressure levels(SPL),directly linked to the difference in collapse times of bubbles within the cluster,and the octave decay rate accelerates as the volume fraction decreases,stabilizing at−6dB/octave when the volume fraction is reduced to 17.5%.For 0.005%–0.5%,as the volume fraction decreases from 0.5%to 0.1%,the number of acoustic pressure pulses significantly *** 0.1%volume fraction,only a single wider pulse is *** the frequency domain,the octave decay rate gradually increases with decreasing volume fraction,significantly exceeding−10dB/octave when it drops below 0.1%,reaching up to−11.7dB/octave.
