The researcher wants to know the inclinations of the teachers in A1-Mustansiriyah University into participation in sports activities and the obstacles. The aims are to build measure of trends and tendencies toward university teachers about exercise and sporting activities and identify the reasons that prevent teachers from exercise. This measure contained on 25 open questions directed by the researcher toward the university teachers, and the distribution of the questions was on three areas： cognitive domain, behavioral domain and emotional domain. These areas have a relationship between tendencies and attitudes of teachers towards sports activities, in addition to the knowledge of the problems and obstacles that prevent this group from participating in sports activities. There is a lack of correlation between the desire to practice physical activity and the presence of a sports hall at the university in terms of statistics. The difficulties in the practice of sports activities, including economic, social and other factors, insecurity and instability exist. There is a good correlation between the previous practice of physical activity and the current desire to practice in terms of statistical activities.

采用KOH对橄榄渣进行活化得到活性炭。设计2~3正交试验来优化制备工艺条件,水平和因子包括活化温度(600,900℃)、活化时间(1,3 h)和浸渍比(1∶2,1∶4)。活性炭的比表面积作为优化的评价指标。通过氮吸附仪、红外光谱仪和扫描电镜等手段对活性炭的表面化学和孔结构进行表征。结果表明,所有因子及其交互水平都非常显著(p<0.05)。活性炭的比表面积和制备条件的相关系数为99.2%。在最条件下制备的活性炭,比表面积为672 m^2/g、平均孔径为2.05 nm,微孔和介孔率分别为81.36%和18.37%。

This paper is concerned with asymptotic behavior of the solution of a new class of rational Difference Equations. We consider the local and global stability of the solution. Moreover we investigate the new periodic character (periodic two) of solutions of these equations. Finally, we give some interesting counter examples in order to verify our strong results.

目的:使用前段光学相干断层扫描(AS-OCT)评估在穿透性角膜移植术(PK)后角膜上皮厚度的变化,并确定上皮厚度在移植排斥反应早期检测中的作用。方法:前瞻性比较观察研究。共纳入20例20眼接受穿透性角膜移植术患者做为研究组,对照组16例16眼。术后2wk、1mo和3mo使用AS-OCT测量角膜厚度。术后3mo,与对照组排斥反应和上皮厚度及分布参数进行比较。结果:术后1mo,研究组的上、下、最大和最小上皮厚度值均显著低于术后2wk(P=0.0004,0.0001,0.0001,0.04),术后3mo与1mo相比无显著差异(P=0.4,0.1,0.8)。与术后2wk相比,1mo时上皮厚度的降低明显高于基质厚度(P=0.04)。角膜上皮厚度变化显示,研究组和对照组的角膜上皮厚度分布模式相似,出现明显的角膜水肿。但是,对照组中央角膜厚度(CCT)明显更高。结论:角膜移植术后移植物上皮重塑的定量评估显示,早期变化有助于角膜移植物厚度的显著改善。角膜上皮厚度和分布模式的变化可作为角膜移植排斥反应的指标。

Introduction: Preterm infants are liable to various health problems including respiratory distress syndrome (RDS). There is variation in response to respiratory support. In preterm infants, cortisol hormone is secreted by the adrenocortical gland in response to stress. Objectives: To compare the serum cortisol levels in blood among preterm infants who needed different respiratory support strategies e.g. headbox, continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP), intubation surfactant extubation (INSURE) and mechanical ventilation (MV) and to correlate the cortisol levels to the severity of respiratory distress syndrome (RDS). Material and Methods: Observational prospective study that assessed the serum cortisol levels in preterm infants with RDS after initial respiratory support aged 28 - 34 gestational weeks that were admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit of Al Zahraa hospital of Al-Azhar University and Al-Estekama hospital between February 2019 and November 2019. Infants were classified into three groups, Group 1: 29 infants with severe RDS who needed a mechanical ventilator. Ten of them needed surfactant therapy. Group 2: 33 infants with moderate RDS who needed CPAP. Three of them needed surfactant therapy. Group 3: 28 infants with symptoms of mild RDS who needed headbox. None of them needed surfactant therapy. Blood samples were collected on the first day of life and were processed using the colorimetric ELISA method. Drought stress has become more common in recent years as a result of climate change impacts on the production of banana crops and other fruit *** growth and productivity of Musa spp are severely impacted by the gradual degradation of water resources and the erratic distribution pattern of annual precipitation *** aim of the work includes increased drought tolerance in light of water scarcity in the world as a result of the bananas’being gluttonous for water *** investigation was carried out from 2019 to 2020 to study the effect of potassium silicate on morphological growth and biochemical parameters of Musa acuminata L under drought stress by *** a result,drought stress reduced the morphological characteristics such as shoots number,shoot length,roots number,and survival percentage and biochemical characteristics such as chlorophyll a,b,carotenoids,stomatal status,and *** proline content increased in the leaf of *** *** complemented with K2SiO3(2 to 6 mM)either individually or in combination with PEG led to an improvement in all morphological and biochemical *** activities of CAT,POD,and PPO enzymes increased significantly compared to ***,the lowest PPO,CAT,and POD activity were ***,K2SiO3 treatments under drought stress successfully enhanced the leaf stomatal *** results suggest that K2SiO3 can help to maintain plant integrity in the tested cultivar under drought stress.

Neuroprotective potential of Indigofera oblongifolia leaf methanolic extract against lead acetate-induced neurotoxicity

Lead （Pb） is one of the most common environmental toxicants, exposure to which can cause significant neurotoxicity and an associated decline in brain function. This study investigated the possible neuroprotective role oflndigofera oblongifolia leaf methanolic extract （IOLME） against lead-induced neurotoxicity. Rats were intraperitoneally injected with lead acetate, with or without IOLME （intragastric administration for 5 days）, and the neuroprotective effect of IOLME was assessed by measuring the lead concentration, redox status （lipid peroxidation, nitric oxide and glutathione）, enzymatic antioxidant activities （superoxide dismutase, catalase, glutathione peroxidase and reductase）, PCR assays of apoptosis markers （Bax and Bcl-2） and histopathology of the brain. The increases in the lipid peroxidation, nitric oxide, and apoptosis, the decreases in the glutathione level and the activity of antioxidant enzymes, and the altered histology of the brain induced by lead acetate were mitigated in the brain of rats pre-treated with IOLME. These findings indicate that IOLME has beneficial effects and it mitigates lead acetate-induced neurotoxicity via its antiox-idant and anti-apoptotic activities.

The Use of Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy as a Mean of Reducing Dose to Bone Marrow for Patients with Cancer Cervix Treated at Nci, Cairo, Egypt. Dosimetric Study

Purpose: To test the use of Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT) to spare the bone marrow (BM) in patients treated with cancer cervix through using the bone marrow an organ at risk. Patients and methods: Thirteen patients with stage (IB2-IIIB) intact cervix cancer were included;C-T simulation was done with contrast and full bladder with slice thickness 2.5 mm. Clinical Target Volume (CTV) included the cervix, uterus, upper half of the vagina, parametrium and regional lymph nodes. The CTV was expanded by 1 cm to form the Planning Target Volume (PTV). The organ at risk (OAR) included the bladder and rectum, the external contour of the pelvic bones to define the Pelvic Bone Marrow (PBM). Four plans were done for every patient with anteroposterior-posteroanterior (AP/PA), three dimensional conformal radiotherapy (3DCRT), IMRT, bone marrow-sparing intensity-modulated pelvic radiotherapy (BMS-IMRT). Results: BMS-IMRT reduced the V20, V30, V40 and V45 of the BM in comparison to 3DCRT and IMRT plans. Reduction in V20 with BMS-IMRT plan compared to 3DCRT (p 0.03). The PBM volume receiving 5, 10 and 20 Gy was lower AP/PA than BMS-IMRT (p < 0.01, p 0.001 and p 0.04 respectively). The volumes of the rectum and bladder receiving dose of 40 and 45 Gy were lower in BMS-IMRT plan compared to AP/PA and 3DCRT plans with p = 0.01 for both of them. PTV cover was better in the BMS-IMRT and IMRT plans. Conclusion: BMS-IMRT decreased the irradiated BM volume compared to other techniques. Thus using BMS-IMRT is recommended to decrease hematological toxicity and avoid treatment interruption.

Adapted European seabass(Dicentrarchus labrax L.)larvae at 25 days post-hatching(dph)with a primary weight and length of 23 mg and 9.92 mm,start the weaning up to 46 dph using the weaning micro-diet(54%crude protein from fish meal,powder milk,and poultry egg)concurrently with Artemia enriched with fortification emulsions(0.6 g/L)of DHA selco®as a control group(DHAS)or Fish oil+20%Vitamin C(FOVC),or Fish oil+20%Vitamin E(FOVE),or Fish oil+10%Vit.C+10%Vit.E(FOCE),or Fish oil only(FO).At 46 dph,groups of larvae fed enriched Artemia with DHAS and FOVE exhibited the highest final body weight,weight gain,average daily gain,specific growth rate,feed intake,protein efficiency ratio,and survival%as well as the lowest feed conversion ***,larvae in FOVC displayed the lowest final body weight,total length,weight gain,average daily gain,specific growth rate,feed intake,protein efficiency ratio,and survival%as well as the highest feed conversion *** histological assessment exhibited no pathological alteration as well as an improvement in the structure with DHAS,FOVE,FOVC,and FOCE co-additives compared to *** peroxidase enzyme(GPx)recorded the highest rates(P<0.05)in groups fed Artemia supplemented with DHAS and FOVE followed by FOCE and *** the lowest record for GPx activity was noted in the FO *** conclusion,Using augmented Artemia nauplii with fish oil+vitamin E in single or in companion with vitamin C as cheap antioxidants support *** larval growth,survival,and antioxidant efficacy during the critical weaning period.
