Effects of nanoparticles, polymer and accelerator concentrations, and salinity on gelation behavior of polymer gel systems for water shut-off jobs in oil reservoirs

Excess water production is one of the crucial complications in the oil industry,leading to a rapid decline in oil *** overcome this problem,different polymer gels are used to block the water's path to reduce water *** the present work,polymer gel systems were prepared with polymers namely partially hydrolyzed polyacrylamide(PHPA),organic crosslinkers like hexamine,and hydroquinone with the incorporation of silica and alumina *** are used to enhance the stability of the gel framework in high salinity and high temperature reservoir *** designing the polymer gel system,factors such as pH,thermal stability,brine composition,injection rate,and chemical concentration were *** of PHPA and nanoparticles were varied from 1 to 2 wt% and 0.25e1.0 wt% respectively for the preparation of different gel *** concentration of the organic crosslinker was extended from 5000 to 11000 ppm for investigating the effect on gelation *** concentration was chosen from 2 to 8 wt% to find the impact of high *** acid as an accelerator was also used to study the effect on gelation time,and it was found that the gelation time is reduced as the concentration of succinic acid *** prepared polymer solution was taken in a test tube and was kept inside a hot air oven at 95℃ to perceive the gelation time and nature of the produced *** showed that nanoparticles do not influence the gelation time,but they considerably affect gel ***,concentrations of polymer,accelerator,and salt(salinity)have significant effects on the gelation behavior of the gel systems.

The robotic airship can provide a promising aerostatic platform for many potential *** applications require a precise autonomous trajectory tracking control for *** has a nonlinear and uncertain *** is prone to wind disturbances that offer a challenge for a trajectory tracking control *** paper addresses the airship trajectory tracking problem having time varying reference path.A lumped parameter estimation approach under model uncertainties and wind disturbances is opted against distributed *** uses extended Kalman filter(EKF)for uncertainty and disturbance *** estimated parameters are used by sliding mode controller(SMC)for ultimate control of airship trajectory *** comprehensive algorithm,EKF based SMC(ESMC),is used as a robust solution to track airship *** proposed estimator provides the estimates of wind disturbances as well as model uncertainty due to the mass matrix variations and aerodynamic model *** stability and convergence of the proposed method are investigated using the Lyapunov stability *** simulation results show that the proposed method efficiently tracks the desired *** method solves the stability,convergence,and chattering problem of SMC under model uncertainties and wind disturbances.

Microalgae cultivation in photobioreactors（PBRs） has emerged as a promising and sustainable approach to address various environmental and energy challenges, offering a multitude of benefits across diverse *** developments in microalgae cultivation in photobioreactors have contributed substantially to the development and optimization of sustainable bioprocesses. This review presents a comprehensive analysis of recent innovations and breakthroughs in the field of microalgae cultivation, with a specific focus on their application in photobioreactors, aimed at paving the way for a greener future. This study in-depth examines the advantages of microalgae cultivation in photobioreactors, concentrating on its effectiveness in wastewater treatment, CO2bioremediation, and the production of biofuels and high-value products. The review evaluates the effects of light,solar irradiation, temperature, nitrogen and phosphorus concentrations in culture media, CO2concentrations, and pH on microalgae growth performance, including specific growth and biomass productivity. The study also examines open systems like unstirred ponds, raceway ponds, and circular ponds and closed systems like horizontal tubular, vertical bubble-column, airlift, flat panel, and plastic-bag photobioreactors, comparing their pros and cons. To optimize microalgae cultivation, key factors in photobioreactor design, including photosynthetic efficiencies, light/dark（L/D） cycles, CO2concentrations, mass transfer, hydrodynamics behavior, and p H, are extensively investigated. In addition, the review outlines recent developments in large-scale photobioreactors and highlights the challenges and opportunities associated with photobioreactor scale-up and design parameter optimization, including genetic engineering and economic feasibility. This paper focuses on the study of the effect of modification of Oil Palm Empty Fruit Bunch(OPEFB)and sugarcane bagasse(SCB)biomass as potential reinforcement for composites panel and thermal *** fibres were treated with three types of chemicals:2%silane,4%H2O2 and 4%H2O2-2%silane for 3 *** influence of modified fibres content in composites was examined by structural changes using image analyser,Fourier transform infrared(FTIR),Scanning Electron Microscopy(SEM),tensile,interracial shear strength(IFSS)and thermal *** diameter of both fibres was reduced after treatment and showed decreasing of lignin and hemi-cellulose in *** strength has been increased by 2%silane treatment for both fibres and 4%H2O2 treatment displays higher result for *** properties of treated SCB fibre with silane display higher residual content and better thermal *** charac-terization showed that 2%silane treatment removed silica bodies of OPEFB fibre while 4%H2O2 treatment uniformly filled porosity of SCB ***,results revealed that treated OPEFB fibre is enough to improve compatibility and mechanical properties,while treated SCB fibre was effective in thermal stability for fabrication of composite materials.

Soil total organic carbon(TOC)is a composite indicator of soil quality with implications for crop production and the regulation of soil ecosystem *** reports on the dynamics of TOC as a consequence of soil management practices in subtropical climatic conditions,where microbial carbon(C)loss is high,are very *** objective of our study was to evaluate the impact of seven years of continuous tillage and residue management on soil TOC dynamics(quantitative and qualitative)with respect to lability and stratification under an annual wheat-mung bean-rice cropping *** soil samples were collected at 0-15 and 15-30 cm depths from a three-replicate split-plot experiment with tillage treatment as the main plots and crop residue levels as the *** tillage treatments included conventional tillage(CT)and strip tillage(ST).Residue levels were high residue level(HR),30%of the plant height,and low residue level(LR),15%.In addition to TOC,soil samples were analyzed for particulate organic C(POC),permanganate oxidizable C(POXC),basal respiration(BR),specific maintenance respiration rate(qCO_(2)),microbial biomass C(MBC),potentially mineralizable C(PMC),and TOC lability and management *** ST treatment significantly increased the TOC and labile C pools at both depths compared with the CT treatment,with the effect being more pronounced in the surface *** HR treatment increased TOC and labile C pools compared with the LR *** ST+HR treatment showed significant increases in MBC,metabolic quotient(qR),C pool index(CPI),C lability index(CL_(I)),and C management index(CMI),indicating improved and efficient soil biological activities in such systems compared with the CT ***,the stratification values,a measure of soil quality improvement,for POC and MBC were>2,indicating improved soil quality in the ST+HR treatment compared with the CT *** ST+HR treatment not only significantly increased the contents o

Understanding scale-up effects on the hydrodynamics of a liquid-solid circulating fluidized bed(LSCFB)unit requires both experimental and theoretical *** implement multigene genetic programming(MGGP)to investigate the solid holdup and distribution in three LSCFB systems with different *** addition to data obtained here,we also use a portion of data sets of LSCFB systems developed by Zheng(1999)and Liang et al.(1996).Model predictions are in good agreement with the experimental data in both radial and axial directions and at different normalized superficial liquid and solid *** radial profiles of the solid holdup are approximately identical at a fixed average cross-sectional solid holdup for the three LSCFB systems *** performance indicators including the mean absolute percentage error(6.19%)and correlation coefficient(0.985)are within an acceptable *** results suggest that a MGGP modeling approach is suitable for predicting the solid holdup and distribution of a scaled-up LSCFB system.

Meloidogyne incognita is a plant pathogen causing root-knot disease and loss of crop *** present study aimed to use Trichoderma harzianum as a biocontrol agent against plant-parasitic nematodes and used press mud,which is a solid waste by-product of sugarcane,as a biocontrol agent and ***,the combined application of *** and press mud may enhance nematode control and plant *** analysis of press mud using scanning electron microscopy(SEM)integrated with an Energy Dispersive X-ray(EDX)analyzer revealed the presence of different elements such as C,O,Mg,Si,P,K,Ca,Cu and *** addition,a greenhouse study was conducted to investigate the combined effects of press mud and *** on *** reproduction and growth and the biochemical features of Psoralea *** results showed that plant length,dry biomass,leaf area,the number of seeds per plant,chlorophyll a,chl b,carotenoid content,nitrate reductase,carbonic anhydrase,and nitrogen content were significantly increased(P≤0.05)in the T2 plants(plants were treated with 100 g of press mud+50 mL *** before one week of *** inoculation),over inoculated plants(IC).Antioxidant enzyme activity of ascorbate peroxidase(APX),catalase(CAT),peroxidase(POD),and superoxide dismutase(SOD)in the foliage of *** was significantly increased when plants were treated with press mud+***.A significant reduction in the number of egg masses,nematode population,and root-knot index(RKI)was found in plants with T2 *** results suggest that the combined application of *** and press mud has the potential to control the *** infection and can be used as an environmentally safe alternative to chemical nematicides and also help in the removal of sugarcane waste that causes environmental pollution.

Synthesis of 2-aryl-1-arylmethyl-1H-1,3-benzo[d]imidazoles by the reaction of o-phenylenediamine with substituted aromatic aldehydes in the presence of 1-heptanesulfonic acid sodium salt （10 mol%） at room temperature. The reactions were performed in acetonitrile：water （8：2）. The method was proved to be eco-friendly, convenient and the products were isolated with good yields （82- 90%）.
