The Fe−Ni−TiO_(2) nanocomposite coatings were electrodeposited by pulse frequency *** results showed that the nanocomposite with a very dense coating surface and a nanocrystalline structure was produced at higher *** increasing the pulse frequency from 10 to 500 Hz,the iron and TiO_(2) nanoparticles contents were increased in expense of nickel *** patterns showed that by increasing the frequency to 500 Hz,an enhancement of BCC phase was observed and the grain size of deposits was reduced to 35 *** microhardness and the surface roughness were increased to 647 HV and 125 nm at 500 Hz due to the grain size reduction and higher incorporation of TiO_(2) nanoparticles into the Fe−Ni matrix(5.13 wt.%).Moreover,the friction coefficient and wear rate values were decreased by increasing the pulse frequency;while the saturation magnetization and coercivity values of the composite deposits were increased.

Objective:To study the anticancer activities of three schiff bases *** thiosemicarbazone,benzophenone thiosemicarbazone and acetophenone thiosemicarbazone against Ehrlich ascites carcinoma(EAC)cells in Swiss albino ***:Synthesized compounds have administrated into the intraperitoneal cavity of the EAC inoculated mice at two *** anticancer activities have studied by monitoring the parameters such as cell growth inhibition,tumor weight measurement,survival time of EAC bearing mice as well as the changes in depleted hematological parameters due to *** such data have been compared with those of a known standard drug bleomycin at the dose of 0.3 mg/kg(i.p.).Results:It has been found that these bases enhanced life span,reduced average tumor weight and inhibited tumor cell growth of EAC cell bearing mice *** results were similar in potency to those obtained with *** was also found that the depleted hematological parameters(red blood count,white blood count and haemoglobin content)were found to be restored gradually towards normal within few weeks after ceasing the ***:The compounds can be primarily considered more or less as potent anticancer agents.

AIM:To investigate effects of anti-TNF biologic drugs on uveitis severity(comparing visual acuity log MAR levels) in Behcet ***:Three databases Pub Med, Scopus, and the Web of Science were searched for qualified papers focusing on the anti-TNF-α factors treatment in Behcet’s disease(BD)-associated uveitis. Studies that were designed pre and post anti-TNF drug treatment, were selected. After determining the search strategy for this study, the relevant data were extracted. RESULTS:The initial search was performed in the target databases and a total of about 1458 articles were found. Fifteen articles were selected for systematic review and only 12 of them had inclusion criteria for Meta-analysis(with visual acuity data). The mean dose of prednisolone before and after biological treatments was reported in 5 studies(28.56 and 7.56 mg/kg, respectively). Also, the preliminary results indicate a significant reduction in visual acuity log MAR levels(md=-1.5 IU/L, 95%CI:-2.1,-0.01).CONCLUSION:Biological drugs significantly reduce the dose of prednisolone and affect visual acuity values.

BACKGROUND: Non-convulsive seizure(NCS) is an underdiagnosed, potentially treatable emergency with significant mortality and morbidity. The objective of this study is to examine the characteristics of patients with NCS presenting with altered mental status(AMS) and diagnosed with electroencephalography(EEG), to identify the factors that could increase the pre-test probability of ***: Retrospective study using the data collected prospectively. Inclusion criteria: patients older than 13 years with AMS. Exclusion criteria:(1) immediately correctable AMS(e.g., hypoglycemia, opiod overdose);(2) inability to undergo EEG;(3) hemodynamic instability. Outcomes compared between NCS and non-NCS cases: vital signs, lactate level, gender, witnessed seizure, use of anticonvulsive in the field or in the ED, history of seizure or stroke, head injury, abnormal neurological finding and new abnormal findings on head CT. Data presented as medians and quartiles for categorical and percentages with 95%CI for continuous variables. Univariate analyses were performed with Man-Whitney U and Fisher's Exact tests. A multivariate analysis model was used to test the predictive value of clinical variables in identifying ***: From 332 patients(median age 66 years, quartiles 50–78), 16 were diagnosed with NCS(5%, 95%CI 3%–8%). Only age was signifi cantly different between the NCS vs. non-NCS groups in both univariate(P=0.032) and multivariate analyses(P=0.016).CONCLUSION: Other than age, no other clinically useful variable could identify patients at high risk of NCS. ED physicians should have a high suspicion for NCS and should order EEG for these patients more liberally.

The nanocrystalline Fe-Ni-Cr coatings were electrodeposited by using the pulse current *** SEM results showed that the coatings had a mixed morphology of small nodules and fine cauliflower structures at low current ***,the Cr content was increased at expense of Fe and Ni contents at high current *** patterns confirmed that the pulse current density had a positive effect on the grain *** results of vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM)measurements demonstrated that by increasing the current density,the saturation magnetization was decreased and the coercivity was increased due to the enhancement of Cr content and the reduction of the grain *** friction coefficient and wear rate values were decreased by increasing the pulse current ***,both the adhesive and abrasive wear mechanisms were observed on the worn *** abrasive grooves and the amount of wear debris were decreased by increasing the pulse current density.

Fetr6 is an underground mine in which chromite is extracted using stope and pillar mining method. Despite of all improving works such as roof supporting and replacing of ore pillars with concrete pillars, pillar No. 19 failed and other pillars failed progressively as a domino effect and 4000 m2 of mine collapsed within a few minutes, consequently. For detail investigation, two 3-D numerical models were developed by 3Dec. The first, a base model, was used for estimation of stress on pillars just before failure and the other for investigation of rock burst in pillar No. 19. The results show that discontinuity parameters such as friction angle and shear stiffness is critical parameters in this pillar failure. In addition, it indicates that W/H ratio equal 0.3, the lack of ore extraction strategy and inadequate roof support are the major reasons for this failure. In this paper, the procedure of study was described.

Tin oxide (SnO2) thin films were deposited on glass substrate by Chemical Bath Deposition (CBD), Drop-Cast and Dip-Coating method. The thin films were post-annealed at 500°C for 2 hours. The structural, optical, and electrical properties of the SnO2 thin films were investigated by using XRD, FTIR, SEM, EDX, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and Electrometer experiment. The XRD patterns of SnO2 thin films deposited on glass substrate by CBD method, Drop-Cast method and Dip-Coating method showed cubic, tetragonal and amorphous structures respectively. The FTIR spectrum exhibited the strong presence of SnO2 with the characteristic vibrational mode of Sn-O-Sn. The SEM analysis was observed that the surface morphology of the thin films toughly depends on the deposition methods of the SnO2 thin films. EDX measurement confirmed that the thin films are the composition of Tin (Sn) and Oxygen (O2). The optical band gap of SnO2 thin films deposited by CBD method, Drop-Cast method and Dip-Coating method is found to be 3.12 eV, 3.14 eV and 3.16 eV respectively. Thin films deposited by Dip-Coating method showed the highest band gap. The electrical results confirmed that the SnO2 thin films are good conductors and pursued Ohm’s Law. These properties of the SnO2 thin films brand are appropriate for application in solar cell assembly, gas sensor devices and transparent electrodes of panel displays.

Simulation of Heat Transfer in a Tubular Pipe Using Different Twisted Tape Inserts

This paper performs a simulation study of the heat transfer phenomena in a tubular U-loop pipe. We have investigated the enhancement of heat transfer with mass flow in a pipe without insert, with full length and short length twisted tape inserts. The length of the pipe is approximately 2436.80 mm long with 29 mm inner and 33 mm outer diameter respectively. A constant heat flux is taken which generated the boundary layer of the pipe close to the flowing fluid around the boundary. The simulations are considered for the stationary and the time dependent module for 35 seconds with different length of inserts. The comparisons are made among the results. We observed that the transfer of heat is enhanced significantly with the increase of the length of inserts inside the computational domain. We also found that, full length twisted tape inserts are more effective than comparing with the short length inserts and without insert.
