The standard solid-state reaction method was employed to synthesize the polycrystalline Ca0.9Sr0.1Mn1−xMoxO3 (CSMMO with x = 0.00, 0.02, 0.04, 0.06, and 0.08) ceramics and each composition was sintered at 1300˚C for 4 hours. The crystal structure, microstructure, optical properties, electrical properties, complex initial permeability, and DC magnetization of the prepared compositions were carried out. The compound exhibited perovskite structure with the transformation of phase from orthorhombic symmetry for x = 0.00 to x = 0.04 samples into a tetragonal symmetry for the samples x = 0.06 and x = 0.08. The lattice constant was found to be enhanced with the doping of Mo concentration. The mean grain size was estimated in the micrometer, with values from 1.3045 to 3.0124 µm. Energy band gap (Eg) was determined for each composition and the magnitudes of Eg were lying between 1.85 - 4.00 eV. The Eg values firstly decreased with the doping content up to 2% and, then, increased for 4% to 6% Mo contents, where it again very slightly decreased for 8% Mo content. The lowest value of Eg was obtained for the x = 0.02 composition. The FTIR spectra revealed the existence of a metal oxide band in each of the prepared samples and supported the formation of a single-phase compound of synthesized material without any impurity, as confirmed by the XRD analysis. The electrical properties, such as resistivity and AC conductivity, were collected using the Impedance analyzer at room temperature. The resistivity and AC conductivity increased with the addition of dopant concentration. The frequency-dependent conductivity spectra showed three distinct regions. The complex initial permeability (μ′) was found to be enhanced with the addition of Mo and the highest value was noticed the 6% Mo dopant sample. On the other hand, the lowest loss factor was obtained for the samples x ≥ 0.06. The M-H hysteresis loops of various Ca0.9Sr0.1Mn1−xMoxO3 ceramics were measured both at room temperature (300 K

水下爆炸作用下悬浮隧道结构设计与优化

结构的抗爆性是悬浮隧道设计中不可回避的问题，为了提高悬浮隧道结构的抗爆能力并对其结构形式进行优化，运用LS-DYNA有限元软件建立水下爆炸作用下悬浮隧道流固耦合模型，通过将二维水下爆炸冲击波映射到三维结构体上的方法，选取了具有代表性的3种结构形式(混凝土结构、钢板+混凝土组合结构和泡沫铝+混凝土组合结构)进行悬浮隧道管体水下爆炸动力响应计算，以结构位移、压力、有效应力以及应变作为评价结构抗爆性能的指标，分析了不同结构形式和防护方式对结构抗爆性能的影响。结果表明：(1)在混凝土厚度对结构抗爆性计算分析中，当混凝土管体厚度在1.1～1.43 m范围时，悬浮隧道抗爆性能随着厚度的增加显著提高，但超过此区间，抗爆性能表现出饱和趋势，厚度对管体的抗爆性影响有限；(2)在钢板防护对结构抗爆性计算分析中，钢管混凝土结构整体防护性能要优于外侧钢板，能够有效减小高应力范围，但对位移变形范围影响不显著，内侧钢板防护并不适用于外部水下爆炸的情况，钢管混凝土应力峰值与位移峰值相比混凝土结构减小了16.10%和17.63%;(3)在外侧泡沫铝防护的抗爆性计算分析中，由于泡沫铝材料多孔隙性的特点，能够有效吸收和分散作用在管体上的爆炸能量，因此其位移峰值和应力相比混凝土结构分别减小了23.11%和25.40%,整体抗爆性能要优于其他2种防护形式。

Influence of biomass density and food to microorganisms ratio on the mixed culture type I methanotrophs enriched from activated sludge

Methanotrophic based process can be the remedy to offset the wastewater treatment facilities increasing energy requirements due to methanotroph＇s unique ability to integrate methane assimilation with multiple biotechnological applications like biological nitrogen removal and methanol production. Regardless of the methanotrophic process end product, the challenge to maintain stable microbial growth in the methanotrophs cultivation bioreactor at higher cell densities is one of the major obstacles facing the process upscaling. Therefore, a series of consecutive batch tests were performed to attentively investigate the biomass density influence on type I methanotrophs bacterial growth. In addition, food to microorganisms（F/M）, carbon to nitrogen（C/N） and nitrogen to microorganisms（N/M） ratio effect on the microbial activity was studied for the first time. It was clarified that the F/M ratio is the most influencing factor on the microbial growth at higher biomass densities rather than the biomass density increase, whereas C/N and N/M ratio change, while using nitrate as the nitrogen source,does not influence methanotrophs microbial growth. These study results would facilitate the scaling up of methanotrophic based biotechnology by identifying that F/M ratio as the key parameter that influences methanotrophs cultivation at high biomass densities.

Background:Chronic pancreatitis(CP)is characterized by chronic abdominal pain and functional ***,a small subset of patients with prior acute pancreatitis(AP)and/or underlying risk factors for developing CP may be pain-free at diagnosis and may have a different clinical *** aimed to compare the clinical characteristics,outcomes,and healthcare utilization between CP patients with and without ***:Reviewed patients with established CP were followed in our Pancreas Center between January 2016 and April *** without risk factors for developing CP and/or without AP prior to their diagnosis and only with incidental radiologic features of CP were excluded,so as tominimize confounding factors of pancreatopathy unrelated to *** were divided into painful and pain-free groups to analyze differences in demographics,outcomes,and healthcare ***:Of 368 CP patients,49(13.3%)were pain-free at diagnosis and had remained so for>9 *** were no significant differences in body mass index,race,sex,or co-morbidities between the two ***-free patients were older at diagnosis(53.9 vs 45.7,P=0.004)and had less recurrent AP(RAP)(43.8%vs 72.5%,P<0.001)and less exocrine pancreatic insufficiency(EPI)(34.7%vs 65.7%,P<0.001).Pain-free patients had less disability(2.2%vs 22.0%,P=0.003),mental illness(20.4%vs 61.0%,P<0.001),surgery(0.0%vs 15.0%,P=0.059),and therapeutic interventions(0.0%vs 16.4%,P=0.005)for ***:We described a unique subset of patients with underlying risk factors for CP and/or prior AP who were painfree at *** were older at diagnosis,had less EPI and RAP,and overall favorable outcomes with minimal resource utilization.

The present paper reports on a systematic study of the influence of Zn alloying on the structural and optical properties of Cd1-xZnxS thin films. X-ray diffraction study for structural analysis reveals that the two binary compounds have been completely transformed into ternary compound with hexagonal (wurtzite) structure with preferred orientation along c-direction with (002) planes. The optical properties such as optical constants and band gap energy of the films were examined by using spectroscopic ellipsometer and Photospectrometery. It was found that the optical constants (n and k) decrease with the addition of Zn content in the alloy. It was also confirmed that the band gap increases with increasing Zn amount in the alloy and is attributed to quantum size effect in the grain size. Raman spectroscopy analysis shows one dominant phonon band at 326cm-1 , the so-called longitudinal optical (LO) mode for all the alloy composition (x). The appearance of a single phonon band in the Raman spectra established the formation of single phase hexagonal structured Cd1-xZnxS thin film. The LO band is asymmetrically broaden and high frequency shifted due to potential fluctuation caused by the dopant material. The AFM results showed that the surface roughness was decreased with increasing Zn content.

Effect of angioembolisation versus surgical packing on mortality in traumatic pelvic haemorrhage: A systematic review and meta-analysis

BACKGROUND: The management of complex pattern of bleeding associated with pelvic trauma remains a big challenge for trauma surgeons. We aimed to conduct a comprehensive meta-analysis to compare the outcomes of angioembolisation and pelvic packing in patients with pelvic ***: We conducted a systematic search of electronic information sources, including MEDLINE; EMBASE; CINAHL; the CENTRAL; the World Health Organization International Clinical Trials Registry; Clinical ***; ISRCTN Register, and bibliographic reference lists. The primary outcome was defined as mortality. Combined overall effect sizes were calculated using randomeffects models. Results are reported as the odds ratio(OR) and 95% confidence interval(CI).RESULTS: We identified 3 observational studies reporting a total of 120 patients undergoing angioembolisation(n=60) or pelvic packing(n=60) for pelvic trauma. Reporting of the Injury Severity Score(ISS) was variable, with higher ISS in the pelvic packing group. The risk of bias was low in two studies, and moderate in one. The pooled analysis demonstrated that angioembolisation did not significantly reduce mortality in patients with pelvic trauma compared to surgery(OR=1.99; 95% CI= 0.83–4.78, P=0.12). There was mild between-study heterogeneity(I^2=0%, P=0.65).CONCLUSION: Our analysis found no significant difference in mortality between angioembolisation and pelvic packing in patients with traumatic pelvic haemorrhage. The current level of evidence in this context is very limited and insufficient to support the superiority of a treatment modality. Future research is required.
