AIM:To evaluate the trending visual performance of different intraocular lenses(IOLs)over time after implantation.METHODS:Ninety-one patients received cataract surgery with implantations of monofocal(Mon)IOLs,segmental refractive(SegRef)IOLs,diffractive(Dif)IOLs,and extendeddepth-of-focus(EDoF)IOLs were included.The aberrations and optical quality collected with iTrace and OQAS within postoperative 6mo were followed and compared.RESULTS:Most of the visual parameters improved over the postoperative 6mo.The postoperative visual acuity(POVA)of the Mon IOL,SegRef IOL,and EDoF IOL groups achieved relative stability in earlier states compared with the Dif IOL group.Nevertheless,the overall visual performance of the 3 IOLs continued to upturn in small extents within the postoperative 6mo.The optical quality initially improved in the EDoF IOL group,then in the Mon IOL,SegRef IOL,and Dif IOL groups.POVA and objective visual performance of the Mon IOL and EDoF IOL groups,as well as POVA and visual quality of the Dif IOL group,improved in the postoperative 1mo and stabilized.Within the postoperative 6mo,gradual improvements were observed in the visual acuity and objective visual performance of the SegRef IOL group,as well as in the postoperative optical quality of the Dif IOL group.CONCLUSION:The visual performance is different among eyes implanted with different IOLs.The findings of the current study provide a potential reference for ophthalmologists to choose suitable IOLs for cataract patients in a personalized solution.

[Objectives]To explore the relationship between anti-tumor components,targets,and pathways involved in Viola medicinal materials,study its main active components,and evaluate its inhibitory activity.[Methods]Through network pharmacological analysis,molecular docking simulation experiments and in vitro experiments,the main components and corresponding targets of Viola were screened out,and their anti-tumor signaling pathways were confirmed.MTT colorimetric assay was used to investigate the inhibitory effect of different extraction layers of Viola on the growth of tumor cells.[Results]18 anti-tumor active components such as 2α,19α-Dihydroxyursolic acid,Corlumine,Madolin U,Trifolirhizin and etc.,and 52 action targets such as PTGS2,PTGS1,P2RX7,MMP1,and GABRB3,and anti-tumor signaling pathways were confirmed.The results of molecular docking showed that all the selected Viola compounds had good binding activity.The results of MTT colorimetric assay showed that the petroleum ether layer and n-butanol layer had a good inhibitory effect on the growth of tumor cell lines.[Conclusions]Viola medicinal materials have the potential of anti-tumor,triterpenoids and flavonoids may be the main active components,and the petroleum ether layer and n-butanol layer have better inhibitory effect on the growth of tumor cells.

Maintaining the physiological pH of interstitial fluid is crucial for normal cellular functions.In disease states,tissue acidosis is a common pathologic change causing abnormal activation of acid-sensing ion channels(ASICs),which according to cumulative evidence,significantly contributes to inflammation,mitochondrial dysfunction,and other pathologic mechanisms(i.e.,pain,stroke,and psychiatric conditions).Thus,it has become increasingly clear that ASICs are critical in the progression of neurologic diseases.This review is focused on the importance of ASICs as potential therapeutic targets in combating neurologic diseases.

第5版WHO造血与淋巴组织肿瘤分类对T细胞和NK细胞增生性疾病和淋巴瘤(T-cell and NK-cell lymphoid proliferations and lymphomas,T/NK-LPD/LYM)根据研究进展以及疾病的临床病理特征,采用了分级系统进行分类。同时纳入了瘤样病变,引入/删除一些肿瘤,修改某些疾病的名称,并修订一些疾病的诊断标准或亚型,将这组疾病从非克隆性增生到高度侵袭性淋巴瘤进行了重新整合,更体现了T/NK-LPD/LYM的疾病本质,有利于临床应用。

基于2008~2022年中国湖泊长时间序列水质数据,采用Mann—Kendall检验(M-K检验),Pearson相关分析以及主成分分析(PCA)等对有机质及相关营养指标在长时间序列上的变化规律,空间异质性特征及指标之间的相关关系进行研究.结果表明:2008~2022年,全国湖泊溶解氧(DO)浓度以每年0.19mg/L的速度增加(P0.50, P<0.05);BOD5与TP呈现显著正相关性(r=0.61, P<0.05);COD与TP(r=0.80,P<0.05)以及Chla(r=0.61,P<0.05)显著正相关,表明TP浓度和叶绿素浓度可能是影响我国湖泊有机质变化的关键因素.在空间尺度上,COD,COD-Mn与BOD5等有机质相关指标为影响全国湖泊水质空间异质性特征的主要因素,且有机质浓度较高的湖泊地理分布较为明显,主要集中于蒙新湖区和云贵高原湖区.

Superparamagnetic iron oxide(SPIO)nanoparticles play an important role in mediating precise and effective magnetic neurostimulation and can help overcome limitations related to penetration depth and spatial resolution.However,nanoparticles readily diffuse in vivo,decreasing the spatial resolution and activation efficiency.In this study,we employed a microfluidic means to fabricate injectable microhydrogels encapsulated with SPIO nanoparticles,which significantly improved the stability of nanoparticles,increased the magnetic properties,reinforced the stimulation effectivity.The fabricated magnetic microhydrogels were highly uniform in size and sphericity,enabling minimally invasive injection into brain tissue.The long-term residency in the cortex up to 22 weeks and the safety of brain tissue were shown using a mouse model.In addition,we quantitatively determined the magneto-mechanical force yielded by only one magnetic microhydrogel using a video-based method.The force was found to be within 7–8 pN under 10 Hz magnetic stimulation by both theoretical simulation and experimental measurement.Lastly,electrophysiological measurement of brain slices showed that the magnetic microhydrogels offer significant advantages in terms of neural activation relative to dissociative SPIO nanoparticles.A universal strategy is thus offered for performing magnetic neuro-stimulation with an improved prospect for biomedical translation.

目的分析西南地区男性不育患者Y染色体无精子症因子AZF微缺失以及核型异常的发生频率及特征。方法选取2018年9月至2023年7月就诊于四川大学华西第二医院的4278例不育男性作为研究对象,回顾性分析患者Y染色体微缺失检测和G显带染色体核型分析的结果。结果共收集4278例患者的临床资料,其中无精症2048例,重度少精症1536例,轻~中度少精症310例,精子浓度正常的不育患者384例。染色体核型分析在2421例中共检出异常核型异常213例,检出率为8.80%。在4278例患者中共检出422例Y染色体微缺失,检出率为9.86%,其中无精症、重度少精症、轻~中度少精症和精子浓度正常但不育患者的检出率分别为10.4%、13.28%、0.97%和0.52%。结论Y染色体微缺失检测及染色体核型分析是评估男性不育原因的重要工具,及早确诊将有助于对生育方式的选择。

Bietti crystalline corneoretinal dystrophy is an inherited retinal disease caused by mutations in CYP4V2,which results in blindness in the working-age population,and there is currently no available treatment.Here,we report the results of the first-in-human clinical trial(NCT04722107)of gene therapy for Bietti crystalline corneoretinal dystrophy,including 12 participants who were followed up for 180-365 days.This open-label,single-arm exploratory trial aimed to assess the safety and efficacy of a recombinant adeno-associated-virus-serotype-2/8 vector encoding the human CYP4V2 protein(rAAV2/8-hCYP4V2).Participants received a single unilateral subretinal injection of 7.5×10^(10)vector genomes of rAAV2/8-hCYP4V2.Overall,73 treatment-emergent adverse events were reported,with the majority(98.6%)being of mild or moderate intensity and considered to be procedure-or corticosteroid-related;no treatment-related serious adverse events or local/systemic immune toxicities were observed.Compared with that measured at baseline,77.8%of the treated eyes showed improvement in best-corrected visual acuity(BCVA)on day 180,with a mean±standard deviation increase of 9.0±10.8 letters in the 9 eyes analyzed(p=0.021).By day 365,80%of the treated eyes showed an increase in BCVA,with a mean increase of 11.0±10.6 letters in the 5 eyes assessed(p=0.125).Importantly,the patients’improvement observed using multifocal electroretinogram,microperimetry,and Visual Function Questionnaire-25 further supported the beneficial effects of the treatment.We conclude that the favorable safety profile and visual improvements identified in this trial encourage the continued development of rAAV2/8-hCYP4V2(named ZVS101e).
