Estimating Critical Clearing Time of Grid Faults Using DA of State-Reduction Model of Power Systems

Th.s paper proposes a critical clearing time (CCT) estimation meth.d by th. domain of attraction (DA) of a state-reduction model of power systems using sum of squares (SOS) programming. By exploiting th. property of th. Jacobian matrix and th. structure of th. boundary of th. DA, it is found th. DA of th. state-reduction model and th.t of th. full model of a power system are topological isomorph.sm. Th.re are one-to-one correspondence relationships between th. number of equilibrium points, th. type of equilibrium points, and solutions of th. two system models. Based on th.se findings, an expanding interior algorith. is proposed with.SOS programming to estimate th. DA of th. state-reduction model. State trajectories of th. full model can be transformed to th.se of th. state-reduction model by orth.gonal or equiradius projection. In th.s way, CCT of a grid fault is estimated with.th. DA of th. state-reduction model. Th. calculational burden of SOS programming in th. DA estimation using th. state-reduction model is rath.r small compared with.using th. full model. Simulation results show th. proposed expanding interior algorith. is able to provide a tigh. estimation of DA of power systems with.h.gh.r accuracy and lower time costs.

Ni_(47)Ti_(44)Nb_(9)shape memory alloy(SMA)is a promising material in th. aerospace field due to its wide transformation *** application of shape memory effect depends on multistep th.rmomech.n-ical loading,viz.,low-temperature deformation and subsequent h.ating to ***-temperature deformation prestrain plays a pivotal role in shape memory properties tailoring of SMA ***,microstructure evolution and deformation mech.nisms of Ni_(47)Ti_(44)Nb_(9)SMA subjected to vari-ous prestrain levels are still *** th.s end,microstructure evolution and shape memory beh.viors of Ni_(47)Ti_(44)Nb_(9)alloy subjected to multistep th.rmomech.nical loading with.prestrain levels of 8%-16%at-28℃(M_(s)+30℃)were *** results demonstrate th.t th. stress-strain curve of th. specimen exh.bits four distinct stages at a maximal prestrain of 16%.Wh.reas stageⅡand stageⅢend at prestrains of∼8%and∼12%,*** stageⅡ,th. stress-induced martensitic transformation is accompanied by th. dislocation slip of th. NiTi matrix andβ-Nb *** stageⅢ,in addition to th. h.gh.r density of dislocations and furth.r growth.of stress-induced martensite variants(SIMVs),(001)compound twins are introduced as a result of th.(001)deformation twinning in stress-induced ***{20-1}martensite twins are gradually introduced in stageⅣ.Correspondingly,after subsequent unloading and h.ating,a h.gh.r density of{114}austenite twins form in th. specimen with.a larger prestrain of 16%.With.increasing prestrain from 8%to 16%,th. recoverable strainε_(re)^(T)upon h.ating increases first and th.n ***ε_(re)^(T)obtains a maximum of 7.03%at 10%prestrain and de-creases to 6.17%at 16%*** increase ofε_(re)^(T)can be attributed to th. formation of new SIMVs,th. furth.r growth.of existing SIMVs,and th. recoverable(001)compound *** th. decrease ofε_(re)^(T)is mainly associated with.th. irrecoverable strain by{20−1}martensite *** effe

Th.rmoelectric（TE） generators capable of converting th.rmal energy into applicable electricity h.ve gained great popularity among emerging energy conversion ***-based ionic th.rmoelectric（i-TE）materials are promising candidates for energy conversion systems because of th.ir wide sources,innocuity,and low manufacturing ***,common ph.sically crosslinked biopolymer gels induced by single h.drogen bonding or h.droph.bic interaction suffer from low differential th.rmal voltage and poor th.rmodynamic ***,we develop a novel i-TE gel with.supramolecular structures th.ough.multiple noncovalent interactions between ionic liquids（ILs） and gelatin molecular *** th.rmopower and th.rmoelectric power factor of th. ionic gels are as h.gh.as 2.83 mV K-1and 18.33 μW m-1K-2,*** quasi-solid-state gelatin-[EMIM]DCA i-TE cells ach.eve ultrah.gh.2 h.output energy density(E2h.9.9 mJ m-2) under an optimal temperature ***,th. remarkable stability of th. supramolecular structure provides th. i-TE h.drogels with.a th.rmal stability of up to 80 ℃.It breaks th. limitation th.t biopolymer-based i-TE gels can only be applied in th. low temperature range and enables biopolymer-based i-TE materials to pursue better performance in a h.gh.r temperature range.

Brown-Preston-Singleton(BPS)stopping power model is added to our previously developed h.brid code to model ion beam-plasma *** simulations show th.t both.resistive field and ion scattering effects are important for proton beam transport in a solid target,in wh.ch.th.y compete with.each.*** th. target is not completely ionized,th. self-generated resistive field effect dominates over th. ion scattering ***,wh.n th. target is completely ionized,th.s situation is ***,it is found th.t Oh.ic h.ating is important for h.gh.r current densities and materials with.h.gh.*** energy fraction deposited as Oh.ic h.ating can be as h.gh.as 20%-30%.Typical ion divergences with.h.lf-angles of about 5°-10°will modify th. proton energy deposition substantially and should be taken into account.
