The calling activity of anurans is influenced by environmental variables and calls produced by syntopic amphibians,among other *** variables have a strong influence,such as temperature and predation dilution,while others may have a periodical influence such as the moon ***,we hypothesised that the calling activity of the Suweon treefrog,Dryophytes suweonensis,is restricted by specific environmental variables but reinforced by the calling activity of specific syntopic *** the criteria set by the experimental design,*** calling activity was significantly influenced by moon phase,temperature,date,time to sunset and the calling activity of Pelophylax nigromaculatus and *** variables are expected to be related to chorus size,predation,breeding phenology and competition,suggesting a broad plasticity in the calling activity of the species.

Management of febrile infants,especially those younger than 3 months of age,is of clinical importance due to the relatively high risk of serious bacterial infection(SBI),such as bacterial meningitis,bacteremia,or urinary tract infection(UTI)[1].Fortunately,reliable guidelines for assessing the risk of SB I in febrile infants have been developed to help determine whether an infant should be hospitalized,undergo lumbar puncture,or be treated with antibiotics[2].However,many hospitals do not have written institutional guidelines,so clinicians often make decisions based on their own experience and knowledge[3-5].For a consistent approach to febrile infants,our hospital plans to introduce written *** this study,we estimated the expected effects of these guidelines and compared our data with the results of previous domestic studies.

AIM:To perform a meta-analysis of observational studies to further elucidate the relationship between oral bisphosphonate use and gastrointestinal cancer ***:Systematic literature search was conducted in MEDLINE,EMBASE,and the Cochrane Library to identify studies through January *** terms were "bisphosphonates" or trade names of the drugs,and "observational studies" or "cohort studies" or "case-control studies".Two evaluators reviewed and selected articles on the basis of predetermined selection criteria as followed:(1) observational studies(casecontrol or cohort studies) on bisphosphonate use;(2) with at least 2 years of follow-up;and(3) reported data on the incidence of cancer *** DerSimonian and Laird random effects model were used to calculate the pooled relative risk(RR) with 95% confidence interval(CI).Two-by-two contingency table was used to calculate the outcomes not suitable for *** meta-analyses were conducted for the type of cancer(esophageal,gastric and colorectal cancers).Sensitivity analyses were performed to examine the effect sizes when only studies with long-term follow-up(mean 5 years;subgroup 3 years) were ***:Of 740 screened articles,3 cohort studies and 3 case-control studies were included in the *** first,4 cohort studies and 3 case-control studies were selected for the analyses but one cohort study was excluded because the cancer outcomes were not categorized by type of gastrointestinal *** than 124 686 subjects participated in the 3 cohort *** mean follow-up time in all of the cohort studies combined was approximately 3.88 *** 3 casecontrol studies reported 3070 esophageal cancer cases and 15 417 controls,2018 gastric cancer cases and 10 007 controls,and 11 574 colorectal cancer cases and 53 955 *** percentage of study participants who used bisphosphonate was 2.8% among the cases and 2.9% among the *** meta-analysis of all the studies fo

In the last five decades, attempts have been made to improve rumen fermentation and host animal nutrition through modulation of rumen microbiota. The goals have been decreasing methane production, partially inhibiting protein degradation to avoid excess release of ammonia, and activation of fiber digestion. The main approach has been the use of dietary supplements. Since growth-promoting antibiotics were banned in European countries in2006, safer alternatives including plant-derived materials have been explored. Plant oils, their component fatty acids,plant secondary metabolites and other compounds have been studied, and many originate or are abundantly available in Asia as agricultural byproducts. In this review, the potency of selected byproducts in inhibition of methane production and protein degradation, and in stimulation of fiber degradation was described in relation to their modes of action. In particular, cashew and ginkgo byproducts containing alkylphenols to mitigate methane emission and bean husks as a source of functional fiber to boost the number of fiber-degrading bacteria were highlighted. Other byproducts influencing rumen microbiota and fermentation profile were also described. Future application of these feed and additive candidates is very dependent on a sufficient, cost-effective supply and optimal usage in feeding practice.

Metabolic engineering of the tumor microenvironment has emerged as a new *** dehydrogenase A(LDHA)is a prominent target for metabolic ***,we designed a cationic lipid nanoparticle formulation for LDHA gene *** plasmid DNA delivery efficiency of our lipid nanoparticle formulations was screened by testing the fluorescence of lipid nanoparticles complexed to plasmid DNA encoding green fluorescence protein(GFP).The delivery efficiency was affected by the ratios of three components:a cationic lipid,cholesterol or its derivative,and a fusogenic *** lipid nanoparticle designated formulation F3 was complexed to plasmid DNA co-encoding CRISPR-associated protein 9 and LDHA-specific sgRNA,yielding the lipoplex,pCas9-sgLDHA/*** lipoplex including GFP-encoding plasmid DNA provided gene editing in HeLa-GFP *** of B16F10 tumor cells with pCas9-sgLDHA/F3 yielded editing of the LDHA gene and increased the pH of the culture ***9-sgLDHA/F3 treatment activated the interferon-gamma and granzyme production of T cells in *** vivo,combining pCas9-sgLDHA/F3 with immune checkpoint-inhibiting anti-PD-L1 antibody provided a synergistic antitumor effect and prolonged the survival of tumor model *** study suggests that combining metabolic engineering of the tumor microenvironment with immune checkpoint inhibition could be a valuable antitumor strategy.

Quantum chemical calculation was carried out to choose a promoter which can reduce the poisoning of V2O5/TiO2 catalysts by SO2. Several atoms were chosen as candidates and new catalysts were synthesized by impregnation method. The NOx conversion rate was measured at temperatures between 100 and 400 ℃ and poisoning effect was investigated. The most promising candidate promoter, Se, was excluded because of its high vapor pressure. On the other hand, Sb shows best promoting properties. Sb promoted catalyst reaches the maximum NOx conversion rate at 250 ℃. It also shows considerably enhanced resistance to poisoning of V2O5/TiO2 catalysts by SO2.

Porous Cu with macroscopically aligned channels was synthesized using a freeze-drying ***-based CuO slurry was prepared by milling at 60 °C with a small amount of *** of a slurry was done at 25 °C while unidirectionally controlling the growth direction of the *** were generated subsequently by sublimation of the camphene during *** green body was hydrogen-reduced at 300 °C for 30 min,and sintered in the furnace at 700 °C for 1 h under a hydrogen *** observation reveals that all of the sintered samples are composed of only Cu phase and show macroscopic open pores with an average size of 100 μm which are aligned along its macroscopic growth *** internal wall of the macroscopic aligned pore shows relatively small pores due to the traces of the camphene left between the concentrated Cu particles on the internal *** in the porosity and pore size with increasing camphene content was explained by the change of the growth behavior of the camphene crystals.

Group I niobates(KNbO_(3) and NaNbO_(3))are promising lead-free alternatives for high-performance energy storage *** their potential,their complex phase transitions arising from temperature-dependent phonon softening and anharmonic effects on dielectric properties remain poorly *** this study,we employ density-functional theory(DFT)and self-consistent phonon(SCP)calculations to investigate finite-temperature phonons in cubic niobate *** include explicit anharmonic vibrational effects,SCP frequencies are shifted by the bubble self-energy correction within the quasiparticle(QP)approximation,providing precise descriptions of phonon softening in these strongly anharmonic *** further calculate the static dielectric constant of KNbO_(3) and NaNbO_(3) as a function of temperature using the Lyddane-Sachs-Teller(LST)relation and QP-corrected phonon *** theoretical results align with experimental data,offering reliable temperature-dependent phonon dispersions while considering anharmonic self-energies and thermal expansion effects,enhancing our understanding of the complex relations between lattice vibrations and phase transitions in these anharmonic oxides.

Thermal deformation of aluminum alloy casting materials for manufacturing the tire mold was numerically *** AC7A and AC4C casting material was selected as casting material and the metal casting device was used in order to manufacture the mold product of automobile tire in the actual industrial *** temperature distribution and the cooling time of casting materials were numerically calculated by finite element analysis (FEA).Also,the thermal deformation such as displacement and stress distribution was calculated from the temperature *** thermal deformation was closely related to the temperature difference between the surface and inside of the *** numerical analysis results reveal that the thermal deformation of AC7A casting material is higher than that of AC4C casting ***,the thermal deformation results at the central part are larger than that on the side of casting because of the shrinkage caused by the cooling speed difference.
