BACKGROUnD Endoscopic ultrasound(EUS)and endoscopic ultrasound elastography(EUS-E)simulation lessens the learning curve;however,models lack realism,diminishing *** To standardize the mechanical properties of polyvinyl alcohol(pVA)hydrogel for simulating organs and digestive *** pVA hydrogel(Sigma Aldrich,degree of hydrolysis 99%)for simulating EUS/EUS-E lesions was investigated in Unidad de Investigación y Desarrollo Tecnológico at Hospital General de México“*** Liceaga”,Mexico *** evaluated physical,contrast,elasticity and deformation coefficient characteristics in lesions,applying Kappa’s concordance and satisfaction questionnaire(Likert 4-points).RESULTS pVA hydrogel showed stable mechanical *** depended on molecular weight(MW)and concentration(C).pVA bblocks with the greatest density showed lowest tensile strength(r=-0.8,p=0.01).Lesions were EUSgraphically *** and heterogeneous examples were created from pVA blocks or pVA phantoms,exceeding(MW2=146000-186000,C9=15%and C10=20%)with a density under(MW1=85000-124000,C1=7%and C2=9%).We calculated elasticity and deformation parameters of solid(blue)areas,contrasting with the norm(Kappa=0.8;high degree of satisfaction).COnCLUSIOn pVA hydrogels were appropriate for simulating organs and digestive lesions using EUS/EUS-E,facilitating practice and reducing *** amplified skills,while reducing the learning curve.

Experimental Analysis of a node B Coverage Based on the CpICH and Ec/Io Values

This paper presents experimental results of a coverage analysis in a WCDMA network using the 850 MHz band;an urban electromagnetic propagation environment is considered. Obtained coverage estimation maps are based on Krige statistical method of interpolation. Key performance parameters used in this work are the CpICH and Ec. The results could be used to identify problems and help to optimize cell coverage and capacity in a given service area.

The overuse and misuse of antibiotics have accelerated the selection of antibiotic-resistant bacteria,significantly impacting human,animal,and environmental *** aquatic environments are vulnerable to antibiotic resistance,suitable management practices should be adopted to tackle this *** we show an effective,nature-based solution for reducing antibiotic resistance from actual *** utilize a bioreactor that relies on benthic(biofilms)and planktonic microbial communities to treat secondary effluent from a small urban wastewater treatment plant(population equivalent).This treated effluent is eventually released into the local aquatic *** observe high removal efficiency for genes that provide resistance to commonly used antibiotic families,as well as for mobile genetic elements that could potentially aid in their ***,we notice a buildup of sulfonamide(sul1 and sul2)and tetracycline(tet(C),tet(G),and tetR)resistance genes specifically in *** advancement marks the initial step in considering this bioreactor as a nature-based,cost-effective tertiary treatment option for small UWWTps facing antibiotic resistance challenges.

Objective To assess the prognostic impact of a routine invasive strategy according to the frailty burden in patients with non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction(nSTEMI)from the MOSCA-FRAIL clinical *** The MOSCA-FRAIL trial randomized 167 frail patients,defined by a Clinical Frailty Scale(CFS)≥4,with nSTEMI to an invasive or conservative *** primary endpoint was the number of days alive and out of hospital(DAOH)one year after *** this subanalysis,we compared the impact of an invasive strategy on the outcomes between vulnerable(CFS=4,n=43)and frail(CFS>4,n=124)*** Compared to vulnerable patients,frail patients presented lower values of DAOH(289.8 vs.320.6,p=0.146),more read-missions(1.03 vs.0.58,p=0.046)and higher number of days spent at the hospital during the first year(10.8 vs.3.8,p=0.014).The cau-ses of readmission were mostly non-cardiac(56%).Among vulnerable patients,DAOH were similar regardless of strategy(invasive ***:325.7 vs.314.7,p=0.684).Among frailest patients,the invasive group tended to have less DAOH(267.7 vs.311.1,p=0.117).Indeed,patients with CFS>4,invasively managed lived 29 days less than their conservative *** contrast,the-re were no differences in the subgroup with CFS=*** Adult patients with frailty and nSTEMI showed different prognosis according to the degree of frailty.A routine in-vasive strategy does not improve outcomes and might be harmful to the frailest patients.

Endogenous Hypoxia in Lateral Root primordia Controls Root Architecture by Antagonizing Auxin Signaling in Arabidopsis

As non-photosynthesizing organs, roots are dependent on diffusion of oxygen from the external environment and, in some in stances, from the shoot for their aerobic metabolism . Establishment of hypoxic niches in the developing tissues of plants has been postulated as a consequence of insufficient diffusion of oxygen to satisfy the demands throughout development. Here, we report that such niches are established at specific stages of lateral root primordia development in Arabidopsis thaliana grown under aerobic conditions. Using gain- and loss-of-function mutants, we show that ERF-Ⅶ transcription factors, which mediate hypoxic responses, control root architecture by acting in cells with a high level of auxin signaling. ERF-Ⅶs repress the expression of the auxin-induced genes LBD16, LBD18, and pUCHI, which are essential for lateral root development, by binding to their promoters. Our results support a model in which the establishment of hypoxic n iches in the developing lateral root primordia con tributes to the shutting down of key auxin-induced genes and regulates the production of lateral roots.

A Comparison between Theoretical and Experimental Coverage Analysis in 3G Cellular networks

This paper shows a comparison between theoretical and experimental coverage analysis. Theoretical work is based on Okumura-Hata propagation model, which are compared with the measured data obtained through an experimental analysis en México City. It is important because all the network designers and managers have to take in account how the signals will arrive to the mobile devices. If they know it, they can install nodes B (base stations) in the better place in the area in order to take advantage of the power radiated by the antenna.

Volatilomic fingerprinting from edible *** some impact compounds behind its attractiveness

In recent years edible flowers emerged in gourmet cuisine,giving any dish the beauty of attractive colours,freshness,texture,and aromatic ***,they also constitute a potential source of phytochemical compounds associated with beneficial effects on human *** this work,the volatilomic fingerprinting of 4 different species of edible flowers[blue mallow(Malva sylvestris L.),pomegranate flower(punica granatum L.),hibiscus(Hibiscus rosa-sinensis L.),and nasturtium(Tropaeolum majus L.)]used in gourmet dishes,was established,and comparatively *** volatile metabolites were extracted by solid-phase microextraction in headspace mode and identified by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry to understand the chemistry behind its attractiveness better.A total of 78 volatile metabolites,belonging to diverse chemical groups were *** mallow is mainly characterised by sesquiterpenoids(61.5%of the total volatile fraction),whereas in flowers from pomegranate,hibiscus,and nasturtium,terpenoids(56.6%),carbonyl compounds(88.0%)and organosulfur compounds(98.0%)are the dominant chemical groups,*** blue mallow flowers,τ-muurolene and valencene are the dominant volatiles,followed byα-cubebene andδ-*** flowers are rich in furfural and linalool,while the aldehydes 2-hexenal,hexanal and 2-octenal are dominant volatile metabolites in *** isothiocyanate,a potent antimicrobial agent,accounts for 98%of the total volatile fraction of nasturtium *** addition to flavour notes,some of the identified volatile metabolites present bioactive properties,which could be explored for application in the food,pharmaceutical and cosmetic *** volatile metabolites profiles combined with unsupervised principal component analysis facilitated the differentiation of the edible flowers under investigation,revealing the most related volatile metabolites of each sample,which can be used as markers for the authentication of the

Linear friction welding （LFW） is an innovative solid-state welding technique that allows to manufacture joints with high mechanical properties. This technology has various applications in the aerospace field; in particular it is used to weld massive structural components made of Ti6A14V. This paper deals with the experimental study of Ti6A14V T-joints welded through LFW, with particular focus on the effectiveness of ultrasonic control in detecting and distinguishing welding defects within the joints. Aiming to this scope, joints with different properties were manufactured and tested： some were free from defects but with different metallurgy, and some had different types of defects. The results obtained proved that the ultrasonic control was an effective method to detect and identify defects in linear friction welded titanium joints, moreover it was possible to get information regarding the microstructure and in particular the extension of the different metallurgical zones induced by the welding process.

Economic and Financial Viability in Spanish Thermal power Station

This article tracked, identified, and demonstrated the economic and financial viability of the renewable energy sector from biomass in a Spanish Thermal power plant. The methodology used came from Theoretical postulates （GITMAn, 2004; VAn HORnE, 1993） called, Technical preparation of capital budgets （Economic and Financial Analysis） called, payback, net present Value, and Internal Rate of Return）. The economic and financial viability results demonstrated were in two stages： the first identified that the plant is viable according to the payback. The second traced the economic and financial viability from the thermal energy production hypothesis equivalent to electricity power in the amount of 7,699.08 MWh, which resulted in the following indicators： payback of seven years and three months, npV of R$ 369,064.98, and the IRR of 12.46%. Therefore, managers would have to make a user raising campaign in the ratio of 24.66%, taking into account of an unused capacity of 25%. These indicators were calculated using the following financial data： initial investment of R $ 3,654,731.86, operational income of R $1,262,264.16, operational inputs of R$ 503,639.59, and capital cost of 10.95% over 20 years. This industrial plant is located in the city of Cuellar in northern Spain, having two employees working eight hours a day; it produces only thermal power, represented in this study by MWh of electric power. This industrial plant produces power by burning forest residues from tree pruning. It was concluded that, given the research question developed in this paper--is the study plant profitable from the economic and financial point of view？--The response was identified by calculating the economic and financial indicators that the plant studied is viable from the proposed of maximizing sales revenues to 7,699.08 MWh.
