Fundamental p.oblems related to the high-sp.ed combustion are analyzed. The result of p.asma-chemical modeling is p.esented as a motivation of exp.rimental activity. Numerical simulations of the effect of uniform non-equilibrium discharge on the p.emixed hydrogen and ethylene-air mixture in sup.rsonic flow demonstrate an advantage of such a technique over a heating. Exp.rimental results on multi-electrode non-uniform discharge maintenance behind wallstep.and in cavity of sup.rsonic flow are p.esented. The model test on hydrogen and ethylene ignition is demonstrated at direct fuel injection to low-temp.rature high-sp.ed airflow.

Chlorop.asts are central to solar light harvesting and p.otosynthesis. Op.imal chlorop.ast functioning is vitally dep.ndent on a very intensive traffic of metabolites and ions between the cytosol and stroma, and should be attuned for adverse environmental conditions. This is achieved by an orchestrated regulation of a variety of transp.rt systems located at chlorop.ast membranes such as p.rines, solute channels, ion-sp.cific cation and anion channels, and various p.imary and secondary active transp.rt systems. In this review we describe the molecular nature and functional p.op.rties of the inner and outer envelop. and thylakoid membrane channels and transp.rters. We then discuss how their orchestrated regulation affects thylakoid structure, electron transp.rt and excitation energy transfer, p.oton-motive force p.rtition, ion homeostasis, stromal p. regulation, andvolume regulation. We link the activity of key cation and anion transp.rt systems with stress-sp.cific signaling p.ocesses in chlorop.asts, and discuss how these signals interact with the signals generated in other organelles to op.imize the cell p.rformance, with a sp.cial emp.asis on Ca^2＋ and reactive oxygen sp.cies signaling.

Ep.thelial ovarian cancer(EOC) is the leading cause of gynecological cancer-related mortality in the develop.d world. EOC is a heterogeneous disease rep.esented by several histological and molecular subtyp.s. Therefore, exp.oration of relevant p.eclinical animal models that consider the heterogenic nature of EOC is of great imp.rtance for the develop.ent of novel therap.utic strategies that can be translated clinically to combat this devastating disease. In this review, we discuss recent p.ogress in the develop.ent of p.eclinical mouse models for EOC study as well as their advantages and limitations.

BACKGROUND The etiology of p.ncreatic cancer remains unclear. This limits the p.ssibility of p.evention and effective treatment. Hep.titis B virus(HBV) is resp.nsible for the develop.ent of different typ.s of cancer, but its role in p.ncreatic cancer is still being *** To assess the p.evalence of p.evious HBV infection and to identify viral biomarkers in p.tients with p.ncreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(p.AC) to sup.ort the role of the virus in etiology of this *** The data of 130 hep.titis B surface antigen-negative subjects were available for the final analysis,including 60 p.tients with p.AC confirmed by cytology or histology and 70 sex-and age-matched controls. All the p.rticip.nts were tested for HBV biomarkers in blood [antibody to hep.titis B core antigen(anti-HBc), antibody to hep.titis B surface antigen(anti-HBs) and HBV DNA], and for those with p.AC, biomarkers in resected p.ncreatic tissues were tested(HBV DNA, HBV p.egenomic RNA and covalently closed circular DNA). We p.rformed immunohistochemistry staining of p.ncreatic tissues for hep.titis B virus X antigen and Ki-67 p.otein. Non-p.rametric statistics were used for the *** Anti-HBc was detected in 18/60(30%) p.tients with p.AC and in 9/70(13%) p.rticip.nts in the control group.p.= 0.029). Accordingly, the odds of p.AC in anti-HBc-p.sitive subjects were higher comp.red to those with no p.evious HBV infection(odds ratio: 2.905, 95% confidence interval: 1.191-7.084, standard error 0.455). HBV DNA was detected in 8 cases of p.AC and in 6 of them in the p.ncreatic tumor tissue samp.es only(all p.tients were anti-HBc p.sitive). Blood HBV DNA was negative in all subjects of the control group.with p.sitive results of the serum anti-HBc test. In this work,we determine the p.rameters of sp.ral structure for a samp.e of face-on sp.ral *** p.actice,the solution to this p.oblem is a hard task because of the diversity of observed characteristics associated with sp.ral structure,such as the number of arms,their shap.,arm contrast,*** study sp.ral structure in galaxies based on an analysis of p.otometric cuts p.rp.ndicular to the arm *** method is based on an ap.roximation of these slices with an analytical function and derivation of the p.rameters of sp.ral structure(arm width,asymmetry,p.tch angle)using the fitted p.rameters from this *** algorithm has been ap.lied to a samp.e of 155 galaxies selected from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey in different *** this p.p.r,we only consider the results on arm width:most sp.rals exhibit an increase in their width with galactocentric *** 14 p.r cent of galaxies in our samp.e show an op.osite trend or have an almost constant arm width at all radii.

AIM： To study isolation and chemical characterization of p.ctin derived from the common cranberry Vaccin/um oxycoccos L. （oxycoccusan Op. and the testing of its p.eventive effect on exp.rimental colitis. METHODS： Mice were administrated orally with Op.two days p.ior to a rectal injection of 5% acetic acid and examined for colonic damage 24 h later. Colonic inflammation was characterized by macroscop.cal injury and enhanced levels of myelop.roxidase activity measured sp.ctrop.otometrically with o-p.enylene diamine as the substrate. The mucus contents of the colon were determined by the Alcian blue dye binding method. Vascular p.rmeability was estimated using 4% Evans blue p.ssage after i.p. injection of 0.05 mol/L acetic acid. RESULTS： In the mice treated with Op. colonic macroscop.c scores （1.1 ± 0.4 vs 2.7, p.〈 0.01） and the total square area of damage （10 ± 2 vs 21 ± 7, p.〈 0.01） were significantly reduced when comp.red with the vehicle-treated colitis group. Op.was shown to decrease the tissue myelop.roxidase activity in colons （42 ± 11 vs 112 ± 40, p.〈 0.01） and enhance the amount of mucus of colitis mice （0.9 ± 0.1 vs 0.4 ± 0.1, p.〈 0.01）. The level of colonic malondialdehyde was noted to decrease in Op.p.etreated mice （3.6 ± 0.7 vs 5.1 ± 0.8, p.〈 0.01）. Op.was found to decrease the inflammatory status of mice as was determined by reduction of vascular p.rmeability （161 ± 34 vs 241 ± 21, p.〈 0.01）. Adhesion of p.ritoneal neutrop.ils and macrop.ages was also shown to decrease after administration of Op.（141 ± 50 vs 235 ± 37, p.〈 0.05）. CONCLUSION： Thus, a p.eventive effect of p.ctin from the common cranberry, namely oxycoccusan Op. on acetic acid-induced colitis in mice was detected. A reduction of neutrop.il infiltration and antioxidant action may be imp.icated in the p.otective effect of oxycoccusan.
