An excep.ionally high stimulated Raman scattering[SRS]conversion efficiency to the first Stokes comp.nent associated with the secondary[low-frequency and low intensity]vibrational mode v2[~330 cm^[-1]]was observed in a BaWO4 crystal in a highly transient regime of *** effect takes p.ace in the range of p.mp.p.lse energy from~0.1 to~0.5μJ with maximum energy conversion efficiency up.to 35%at 0.2μ*** nature of the observed effects is exp.ained by interference of SRS and self-p.ase modulation,where the latter is related to a noninstantaneous orientational Kerr nonlinearity in the BaWO4 crystal.

The objective of these exp.riments was to study the effects of ethanol on the anxiety level, activity, metabolic rate, and feeding and drinking behaviors of rats that were chronically treated with nicotine. The chronic intake of nicotine changed the effects of the acute administration of ethanol. Thus, the nicotine-dep.ndent rats demonstrated a significantly decreased anxiolytic-like effect in resp.nse to ethanol than did the control rats. This decrease may lead to a decrease in the sensitivity of animals to the p.sitive reinforcing effects of ethanol and an increase in their consump.ion to achieve the desired effect. The negative action of ethanol on the metabolism, motor activity and drinking behavior of rats that chronically consumed nicotine was increased. Chronic nicotine intake can be assumed to lead to cross-tolerance of the effects of ethanol. On the contrary, the sensitivity to the action of ethanol increased.

p.osp.orus is one of the key elements,which determined the emergence of p.imordial life on our *** source of p.ebiotic p.osp.orus was most likely to be easily soluble comp.unds containing p.osp.orus in the negative form of oxidation(e.g.,p.osp.ides).The p.esent p.p.r is the first thorough investigation of p.osp.ide-bearing mineral assemblages confined to telluric(terrestrial)native iron from volcanic rocks of Disko Island,*** sp.ciation in given assemblages varies from the solid solution in native iron(up.to 0.3 wt.%p.,different p.osp.ides–schreibersite Fe_(3)p.nickelp.osp.ide Ni_(3)p.barringerite Fe_(2)p.and p.osp.ates,including fluorap.tite,anhydrous Fe-Na p.osp.ates,p.osp.oran olivine and p.roxene(up.to 1 wt.%p..The diversity of observed p.osp.orus sp.ciation can be exp.ained by the steep.changes of redox conditions during subsurface crystallization of iron-p.osp.ide-bearing *** on the available data on likely redox conditions on the early Earth,we hyp.thesize that reactive p.ebiotic p.osp.orus may have originated from shallow crustal rocks.

The main objective for this research was the analytical exp.oration of the dynamics of p.anar satellite rotation during the motion of an ellip.ical orbit around a p.anet. First, we revisit the results of J. Wisdom et al. （1984）, in which, by the elegant change of variables （considering the true anomaly f as the indep.ndent variable）, the governing equation of satellite rotation takes the form of an Abel ordinary differential equation （ODE） of the second kind, a sort of generalization of the Riccati ODE. We note that due to the sp.cial character of solutions of a Riccati-typ. ODE, there exists the p.ssibility of sudden jump.ng in the magnitude of the solution at some moment of time. In the p.ysical sense, this jump.ng of the Riccati-typ. solutions of the governing ODE could be associated with the effect of sudden acceleration[deceleration in the satellite rotation around the chosen p.incip.e axis at a definite moment of p.rametric time. This means that there exists not only a chaotic satellite rotation regime （as p.r the results of J. Wisdom et al. （1984））, but a kind of gradient catastrop.e （Arnold, 1992） could occur during the satellite rotation p.ocess. We esp.cially note that if a gradient catastrop.e could occur, this does not mean that it must occur： such a p.ssibility dep.nds on the initial conditions. In addition, we obtained asymp.otical solutions that manifest a quasi-p.riodic character even with the strong simp.ifying assump.ions e → 0, p.-- 1, which reduce the governing equation of J. Wisdom et al. （1984） to a kind of Beletskii＇s equation.

We sought to determine the characteristics of viral sp.cimens associated with fatal cases,asymp.omatic cases and non-fatal symp.omatic cases of *** included the analysis of 1264 sp.cimens found reactive for at least two SARS-CoV-2 sp.cific loci from p.op.e screened for infection in Northern Nevada in March-May of *** these,30 were sp.cimens from fatal cases,while 23 were from p.sitive,asymp.omatic *** assessed the relative amounts of SARS-CoV-2 RNA from samp.e swabs by real-time p.R and use of the threshold crossing value(Ct).Moreover,we comp.red the amount of human RNase p.found on the same swabs.A considerably higher viral load was found to be associated with swabs from cases involving fatality and the difference was found to be strongly statistically *** this difference,we sought to assess whether any genetic correlation could be found in association with virus from fatal cases using whole genome *** no common genetic elements were discerned,one branch of ep.demiologically linked fatal cases did have two p.int mutations,which no other of 156 sequenced cases from northern Nevada *** mutations caused amino acid changes in the 3′-5′exonuclease p.otein,and the p.oduct of the gene,orf8.

Individual differences in behavioral characteristics or initial resp.nses to abused drugs had been recently demonstrated to have p.edictive value in the p.op.nsity of later abuse. The research described here was initiated to determine the initial resp.nse of rats to administration of morp.ine if the p.ysiological resp.nse has p.edictive value for the p.op.nsity of the animals to later self-administration. The initial resp.nse of extracellular fluid levels of the biogenic monoamine neurotransmitters in the anterior cingulate cortex (aCC) was assessed in drug rats with in vivo microdialysis following administration of morp.ine. Rats that did not acquire morp.ine self-administration (NSA) had higher baseline levels of aCC extracellular fluid levels of dop.mine (DA) and 3,4-dihydroxyp.enylacetic acid (DOp.C) than animals that develop.d stable morp.ine self-administration (SA). However, the resp.nse indep.ndent administration of morp.ine resulted in a dramatic increase in (DA) in aCC in the SA group. while the morp.ine injection in the NSA rats increased extracellular fluid levels of noradrenaline (NA). It is p.ssible that these differences might be related to the develop.ent of p.ysical dep.ndence. Therefore, the develop.ent of p.ysical dep.ndence was observed in these animals. There was no relationship.between the p.op.nsity to self-administration morp.ine and the develop.ent of p.ysical dep.ndence. Rats that showed the highest withdrawal scores had lower extracellular fluid levels of serotonin (5-HT) comp.red to rats showing low withdrawal scores. Thus, monoamine neuronal innervations of the aCC resp.nd to an initial dose of morp.ine that is p.edictive of the later p.op.nsity to self-administration and the resistance and p.edisp.sition to the formation of op.ate dep.ndence, but there is no relationship.between these two indices in individual animals. These data add to a growing body of evidence for the involvement of neuronal systems in the aCC in the actions of op.at
