Recently,muscular function/dysfunction has gained importance in the maintenance of metabolic homeostasis in cardiovascular *** muscle plays a vital role in coordinating the activity and metabolism of endocrine organs by secreting many myokines,especially *** is a polypeptide hormone consisting of 112 amino acids secreted into the blood from muscle and adipose *** irisin levels are associated with cardiometabolic risk factors such as obesity and insulin resistance as defi ned by homeostatic model *** reduces endothelial damage by inhibiting infl ammation and oxidative stress,thus playing a key role in maintaining endothelial cell ***,low irisin levels cause endothelial dysfunction and increase the incidence of *** aimed to summarize the studies on this issue since we have not found any review in the literature on the role of serum irisin levels in the process of atherosclerosis and other cardiovascular events in cardiovascular diseases.

The world initiated a new era with the emergence of the Covid-19 *** all around the globe,including Turkey,was impacted to a great *** teachers and learners were required to adapt to online education within a short period of *** previous studies had focused on the impacts of teaching English in general for teachers and learners,studies focusing on teaching of the speaking skills online particularly in the Turkish context was absent in the ***,the gap which was to be considered appropriate for this research is related to comprehending the perceptions and challenges EFL teachers confronted while attempting to teach the speaking skills online within the Turkish *** article aims to have a theoretical contribution to the current research,in order to see the significance of the Turkish context,as online teaching of English speaking was to be considered beneficial for learners,as it increased confidence for the interaction.

Most of dental implants are made from titanium or titanium based ***, one of the drawback of such implants is high cost due to the technological difficulties in casting method or *** this work, powder injection moulding（PIM） method has been used in order to explore lower cost implants without minimising the biocorrosion resistance of the *** resistance of titanium specimens, produced by powder injection moulding method（PIM-Ti）, in physiologic serum and artificial saliva was *** pure bulk Ti（CP-Ti） was used as control *** oxidation was also carried out to both PIMTi and CP-Ti *** and corrosion resistance were investigated using microhardness, X-ray diffraction（XRD）, scanning electron microscopy（SEM） and potentiodynamic polarization *** microstructure of PIM-Ti samples contained porosity as compared to CP-Ti control *** of PIM-Ti samples varied with varying applied load whereas it was free from applied load for CP-Ti control *** measurements and SEM analysis revealed that corrosion behaviour of PIM-Ti was reasonably as good as CP-Ti both in as-produced and oxidized conditions in physiologic serum and artificial saliva in spite of its porous structure.

The characterization of x-shaped antenna arrays operating in the mid-infrared is proposed. An equivalent circuit model for the resonant characteristic of the x-shaped nanoaperture antenna arrays is also included. In order to understand the resonance behavior of the structure, a detailed study of the field-enhancement capabilities and light transmission characteristics of the structure is proposed. In the experimental stud- ies, the transmission characteristics of the periodic x-apertures are analyzed by varying the geometrical dimensions. Consequently, it is observed that the periodic subwavelength x-apertures show extremely high near-field optical resolution and enhanced transmission compared with the other nm-sized apertures.

Total Hip Arthroplasty (THA) and Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA) are major surgical procedures which can cause high morbidity and even mortality. Among these complications is venous thrombo embolism (VTE) comprising deep vien thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE). Therefore, after these operations, thromboprophylaxis is routinely used. However, it has some complications such as bleeding, adverse effect of chemical agents for using prevention of DVT. Anti-thrombotic prophylaxis includes: low molecular weight heparin (LMWH), fondaparinux, apixaban, dabigatran, rivaroxaban, low dose unfractionated heparin (LDUH), adjusted dose vitamin K antagonist (VKA), aspirin, or mechanical thromboprophylaxis devices. All over the World, orthopaedic surgeons consider a balance between thromboprophylaxis and bleeding. However, it has been still controversy about optimum prophylaxis for DVT. In this current paper, we aimed to review the literature under light of the current studies.

Aim: To evaluate the effect of epidural analgesia during labour on neonatal-maternal outcomes. Methods: A retrospective cohort study of nulliparous parturients who gave birth in Vasternorrland County, Sweden, over a 2-year period between 2015 and 2016. Neonatal outcomes (Apgar score at 5 min and umbilical cord arterial blood gases), maternal outcomes (perineal injury, total bleeding volume and maternal satisfaction with birth) and labour parameters (mode of delivery and the durations of labour and postpartum hospital stay) were evaluated. Results: The study cohort consisted of 1449 women with singleton pregnancies. Patients were divided into two groups according to whether during labour they were administered epidural analgesia using bupivacaine and sufentanil (EDA group, n = 615) or not (non-EDA group, n = 834). The rate of assisted vaginal delivery was significantly higher in the EDA group than in the non-EDA group (15.6% and 11.3%, respectively, p < 0.05), whereas the rates of caesarean section were similar. The duration of the active phase of labour was significantly longer in the EDA group than in the non-EDA group (489 ± 217 min versus 371 ± 210 min, respectively, p < 0.001). The Apgar score at 5 min and umbilical cord blood pH were lower and the base deficit greater in the EDA group (p < 0.001, p < 0.001 and p < 0.01, respectively). Bleeding volume was similar between the groups after adjusting for gestational age. Women in the EDA group were more satisfied with their labour experience, as measured by the visual analogue scale (p Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that EDA affects delivery and neonatal-maternal outcomes negatively, but increases the mother’s satisfaction with labour.

Diabetes mellitus(DM) is a systemic and complex disease with micro and macrovascular complications that result from impaired metabolic pathways and genetic susceptibilities. DM has been accepted as an epidemic worldwide during the last two decades. A substantial gap in our knowledge exists regarding the pathophysiology of this metabolic disorder despite the improved diagnostic tools and therapeutic approaches. Sirtuins are a group of NAD+ dependent enzymes that are involved in cellular homeostasis due to their deacetylating activity. In the present review, we aimed to discuss the role of associated sirtuins in the pathogenesis and treatment of diabetes mellitus.

In this paper, it is defined that left *-α-derivation, generalized left *-α-derivation and *-α-derivation, generalized *-α-derivation of a *-ring where α is a homomorphism. The results which proved for generalized left *-derivation of R in [1] are extended by using generalized left *-α-derivation. The commutativity of a *-ring with generalized left *-α-derivation is investigated and some results are given for generalized *-α-derivation.
