Computer simulations of friction between polymer brushes are usually simplified compared to real systems in terms of solvents and *** most simulations,the solvent is only implicit with infinite compressibility and zero *** addition,the model geometries are parallel walls rather than curved or rough as in *** this work,we study the effects of these approximations and more generally the relevance of solvation on dissipation in polymer-brush systems by comparing simulations based on different solvation *** find that the rate dependence of the energy loss during the collision of brush-bearing asperities can be different for explicit and implicit ***,the non-Newtonian rate dependences differ noticeably between normal and transverse motion,i.e.,between head-on and off-center asperity ***,when the two opposing brushes are made immiscible,the friction is dramatically reduced compared to an undersaturated miscible polymer-brush system,irrespective of the sliding direction.

electrochemotherapy is a local ablative therapy that increases the cytotoxicity of either bleomycin or cisplatin by applying electric pulses(electroporation)to *** has already been widely used throughout europe for the treatment of various types of human and veterinary cutaneous tumors,with an objective response rate ranging from 70%-90%,depending on the tumor ***,electrochemotherapy was introduced for the treatment of primary liver tumors,such as hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).The complete response rate was 85%per treated lesion,with a durable ***,electrochemotherapy could become a treatment of choice for HCC,especially after achieving a transition from an open surgery approach to a percutaneous approach that uses dedicated *** elicits a local immune response and can be considered an in situ ***,among others,is a potentially immunogenic tumor;thus,electrochemotherapy could boost adjuvant immunotherapy to achieve a better and longer-lasting antitumor ***,therapeutic strategies that combine electrochemotherapy with immune checkpoint inhibitors or adjuvant treatment with cytokines are indicated for *** therapy using electroporation as a delivery system for plasmid DNA coding for interleukin-12 is a highly promising *** electroporation approach has shown efficacy in preclinical settings and veterinary oncology and is awaiting translation for the treatment of liver tumors,i.e.,HCC.

The sunflower has the potential to be a highly competitive crop owing to its diversity market and the valuable oil it ***,the amount of sunflower seed oil-a key factor for the crushing industry-is affected by genotype and environment,which sometimes is difficult to *** paper analyzes the theoretical principles of sunflower growth in Ukraine,highlights the current trends in the sowing of this crop,the influence of climatic factors of the environment on the prospects of the oilseed sunflower *** results of the research are presented for 3 years(2014-2016),during the authors conducted a grain quality observatory at the regional level,taking into account the climatic conditions of sunflower growth in different natural zones of Ukraine(from 45to 51north latitude and from 22to 37east longitude).Additionally,the research includes the coefficient of significance of the deviation from long-term climatic indicators,which makes it possible to forecast sunflower yield in the *** analyzed data was obtained from the commercial fields with a minimum area of 40 ha in all Ukrainian regions except Crimea peninsula,Donetsk and Luhansk *** results obtained in research show the great diversity of oil content index as per both latitude and longitude *** we consider the entire country,this survey shows that the seed oil content can change dramatically from year to year:e.g.47.5%in one year versus 45.7%in another ***,these changes have a completely different dynamic with a gradual decrease in seed oil content in the southern part of the *** main goal of the research was to identify the best sunflower growing areas in Ukraine according to the oil content index.

This study examined the possible role of p120ctn in the pathogenesis and development of pan-creatic ***-1 cells,a kind of human pancreatic carcinoma cell line,were cultured in this study.p120ctn was immunocytochemically detected in PANC-1 *** recombinant lentivirus vector was constructed to knock down the p120ctn expression of PANC-1 ***-time quantitative PCR (RQ-PCR) and Western blotting were used to determine the expression of p120ctn and e-cadherin in PANC-1 cells after p120ctn *** adhesion,invasion and migration capacity of PANC-1 cells after p120ctn knockdown was detected by cell adhesion,invasion and migration *** growth was measured by the MTT *** cycle and apoptosis were analyzed by fluorescence-activated cell *** results showed that p120ctn knockdown led to significantly down-regulated e-cadherin and a reduced cell-to-cell adhesion ability in PANC-1 ***-mediated knockdown of p120ctn reduced invasion and migration capacity of PANC-1 cells,inhibited cell growth,caused a significant decrease in the percentage of cells in G1,an increase in S,and promoted apoptosis of PANC-1 *** was concluded that p120ctn plays a pivotal role in the proliferation and metastasis of pancreatic carcinoma,suggesting that p120ctn is a novel target for pancreatic carcinoma treatment.

Catalytic Activity of Nanodiamonds in Azocoupling Reaction

The need to rethink the classical european systems that excluded the possibility of the existence(of the idea) of the Other from the ontological order was a key factor in the self-determination of subjects representing a nonWestern type of philosophical discourse. Un-ontological status deprived the Other of the right to be a subject and deprived his words of authenticity. The author of the article analyzes the views of enrique Dussel, one of the primary figures in the Philosophy of Liberation philosophical movement. An attempt to justify the existential status of the Other is made by e. Dussel by addressing european philosophers, whose ideas intended to overcome the anti-anthropological attitude and dehumanization tendencies, once begotten by the discourse of Totality. The content of the concept of the Other is clarified through its correlation with the concept of the Otherness. The explanatory potential of these ideas is revealed for the possibility of bringing the Other out of oblivion.

The catalytic efficiency of modified nanodiamonds (MND) in reactions of interaction between organic compounds was demonstrated on the example of azocoupling reaction (hydrogen peroxide-4-aminoantipyrine-phenol). It was found that catalytic action of MND was caused by redox active metal ions of Fe and Cu located on the MND surface. The neutralization of the ions significantly decreased catalytic properties of MND.

Bone Marrow Cells Obtained from Old Animals Differ from the Young Animals Cells in Their Ability to Divide and in Response to the Presence of Liver Fibrosis in Primary Culture

Dynamics of bone marrow cells number (BMC) in the primary culture isolated from young (3 months) and old (20 months) Wistar rats was investigated. Proliferative activity of BMC of old animals was 2 times higher than that of young animals in the primary culture. Such superiority of the proliferative activity of BMC in the primary culture obtained from old animals is associated with the ability to actively divide lymphocytes and longer “lifespan” of segmented neutrophils obtained from old animals. It should be noted, that the lymphocytes of young animals did not proliferate in the primary culture. The content of intracellular calcium in BMC in the cells of old animals was 3 times higher compared with cells of young animals, which revealed the relationship of intracellular calcium and proliferative activity of BMC. Induction of liver fibrosis led to an increase in the lymphocyte content in young animals by 167%, and in old ones only by 26%, while the lymphocytes of young animals acquired the ability to proliferate in the primary culture. It has been suggested that such differences in the behavior of BMC in primary culture obtained in young and old animals reflect differences in the BMC microenvironment of young and old animals, which leads to changes in the epigenetic-metabolic characteristics of BMC.

目的探讨多波长激光联合曲安奈德在糖尿病黄斑水肿患者中的应用效果。方法选取2021年6月—2023年9月诸城市人民医院收治的94例糖尿病黄斑水肿患者,按治疗方法不同分为两组,各47例。两组均给予内界膜剥除术治疗,对照组采用曲安奈德治疗,观察组在对照组基础上联合多波长激光治疗,两组均完成12周干预,比较两组血糖水平、视网膜厚度、最佳矫正视力、眼压水平及不良反应发生率。结果干预后,两组患者血糖水平均降低,且观察组低于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P均0.05)。结论多波长激光联合曲安奈德用于糖尿病黄斑水肿患者中,能降低视网膜厚度水平,提升其最佳矫正视力,有助于降低患者血糖水平,未增加不良反应发生率。
