To facilitate gathering information during a psychiatric interview, some psychiatrists advocate augmenting the interview using drugs. Rather than barbiturates, benzodiazepines have been used for drug-assisted interviews. Dissociative amnesia is one of the indications for these interviews. Herein, we present the case of a 15-year-old female who was diagnosed as having dissociative amnesia because of conflicts with her friends. She was administered a Iorazepam-assisted interview to aid recovery of her memories. In this case, a small dose of Iorazepam was sufficient to recover her memories without any adverse effects.

Understanding of ecosystem resilience and stability requires comprehending predator- prey dynamics because ecosystems consist of dynamically interacting subsystems that include predator-prey relationships. This relationship is closely related to the hunting- escaping strategies employed by the predator and prey. Therefore, understanding the effects of hunting and escaping strategies on ecosystems will lead to a better under- standing of these systems. As an approach for describing the predator-prey interaction, lattice-based models have been adopted because this approach has strong advantages for simulating various dynamical processes of individual-individual interaction. In the models, each lattice cell is either considered as an attractive/repulsive cell, or an indi- vidual cell, or else it is empty. The attractive （or repulsive cell） can be interpreted as the prey （or predator） of the individual. These states allow us to incorporate the ecological processes of local antagonistic interactions, namely the spread of disturbances （by the predator） and regrowth or recovery （by the prey）. These processes are directly related to the strategic behavior of individuals, such as hunting and escaping. In this study, we suggest a simple and effective mapping formula as a stochastic rule to describe the hunt- ing and escaping behavior. This formula could be widely used not only in the behavior but also in competitive and cooperative relationships.

The dry reforming(DR)reaction is an eco-friendly process for producing synthesis gas(CO,H_(2))from greenhouse gases(CH_(4),CO_(2)).Despite advancements in various nickel(Ni)supported catalysts for this reaction,achieving high catalyst stability against carbon deposition and improving conversion rates remain significant *** this paper,we introduce a novel approach for synthesizing uniform Ni nanocatalysts with cesium(Cs)and cerium oxide(CeO_(x)).This synthesis is achieved using an automated device based on a co-melt infiltration *** method addresses the limitations of conventional catalyst synthesis,such as complex procedures,low reproducibility,and difficulties in scaling *** resulting catalysts contain uniformly small Ni particles,approximately 5 nm in size,with Cs and CeO_(x) evenly distributed throughout the alumina(Al_(2)O_(3))*** developed Ni/CeO_(x)-Al_(2)O_(3) and Cs Ni/CeOx-Al_(2)O_(3) nanocatalysts demonstrate improved conversion performance and stability under various DR *** improvement is attributed to the synergistic effect of Cs and CeO_(x),which creates a pathway to inhibit and remove carbon ***,these nanocatalysts exhibited superior resistance to carbon deposition compared to conventional Ni/Al_(2)O_(3) and commercial Ni catalysts under identical reaction conditions.

·AIM: To determine the effect of metabolic syndrome on age-related cataract formation.·METHODS: We analyzed data for 2852 subjects [41.8%men and 58.2% women; mean(±SD) age, 52.9 ±13.9y],taken from the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 2008. Metabolic syndrome was diagnosed by criteria proposed by the Joint Interim Societies. Cataract was diagnosed by using the Lens Opacities Classification System III. The association between metabolic syndrome and cataract was determined using age-adjusted and multivariable logistic regression analyses.· RESULTS: In multivariable analyses, men with metabolic syndrome had a 64% increased risk of nuclear cataract [odds ratio(OR), 1.64; 95% confidence interval(CI), 1.12-2.39]. Women with metabolic syndrome had a56% increased risk of cortical cataract(OR, 1.56; 95% CI,1.06-2.30). Men and women with metabolic syndrome had a 46%(OR, 1.46; 95% CI, 1.01-2.12) and 49%(OR,1.49; 95% CI, 1.07-2.08) increased risk of any cataract,respectively. The prevalence of nuclear and any cataract significantly increased with an increasing number of disturbed metabolic components in men, and prevalence of all types of cataracts increased in women. Men using hypoglycemic medication had an increased risk of nuclear(OR, 2.62; 95% CI, 1.41-4.86) and any(OR, 2.27;95% CI, 1.14-4.51) cataract, and women using antidyslipidemia medication had an increased risk of cortical(OR, 2.18; 95% CI, 1.12-4.24) and any(OR, 2.21;95% CI, 1.14-4.26) cataract.·CONCLUSION: Metabolic syndrome and its components,such as abdominal obesity, high blood pressure, andimpaired fasting glucose, are associated with age-related cataract formation in the Korean population.

We propose a mobile system,called Potholeeye+,for automatically monitoring the surface of a roadway and detecting the pavement distress in real-time through analysis of a ***+pre-processes the images,extracts features,and classifies the distress into a variety of types,while the road manager is *** day for a year,we have tested Potholeeye+on real highway involving real settings,a camera,a mini computer,a GPS receiver,and so ***,Potholeeye+detected the pavement distress with accuracy of 92%,precision of 87%and recall 74%averagely during driving at an average speed of 110 km/h on a real highway.
