The manual selection of environment parameters during welding simulation will bring a significant error to the simulation result of welding temperature field. By a combination of finite element method （FEM） and infrared thermography, these environment parameters were inversed mathematically in place of previous manual selection. First, FEM model of the welding process was constructed, and the temperature field was computed with initial environment parameters. Then, a real welding process was conducted and the temperature field was measured by infrared thermography. Last, the simulation and measurement results were compared, and the environment parameters were adjusted continuously with the genetic algorithm （ ga.） until the simulation matched the measurement best. Parameters according to the best-matched simulation results were considered as the most appropriate parameters.

Introduction: Giant hernias induce changes which reduce the quality of life of patients and make their surgical management complex. Adequate preoperative preparation of the patient guarantees good postoperative progress. It is necessary to avoid resorting to a technique of separation of the compartments during the cure. Here we report the case of a patient who benefited a successful cure using the Ramirez technique. Observation: We report the case of a 60-year-old patient admitted to an outpatient clinic for abdominal swelling evolving for 30 years without the notion of trauma gradually increasing in volume. The interrogation and physical examination led to the diagnosis of a giant white line hernia with incarceration. A preoperative assessment and a preanesthetic consultation were carried out. Intraoperatively, the cecum, transverse colon, sigmoid, jejunum and greater omentum were incarcerated in the bag. After adhesiolysis we proceeded to resect the bag and cure it using the Ramirez technique. The consequences were simple and the patient was discharged on day 4 after her dressing and was seen on day 15, 1 month, 3 months and 1 year. The patient benefited from the placement of an abdominal compression sheath for 3 months. Conclusion: family:Verdana;">Success in the management of prosthetic material in the absence of prosthetic material depends on good preoperative preparation and the mastery of certain surgical techniques.

Environmental Concern of Using Coal Tar in Road Engineering and Its Possible Alternatives

Coal tar,a by-product from the destructive distillation of coal in coking oven,is widely used in road engineering for its excellent adhesion and fuel resistance properties,especially for pavement surface treatments in ga. stations and airports. However,coal tar has a high Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (or PAHs) content,which makes it toxic. In 1985,the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) has proved that coal tar is carcinogenic to humans. Research showed that Coal Tar-based Sealers (CTS) contribute to the majority of PAHs pollution in the water *** of this environmental concern,CTS are not allowed in many developed countries in the USA and Europe. In contrast,coal tar is still used for road engineering in China and is even used *** paper gives a literature review on the general information and research about environmental concern of using coal tar in road engineering. Based on the review,some possible alternatives to replace coal tar are described. These alternatives include nano-clay/epoxy modified bitumen/bitumen emulsion and waterborne polyurethane/epoxy resin,which are environmental friendly. They have the potential to perform as well as CTS,and even better in some special applications.

对粤北南雄地区一个副片麻岩中56个碎屑锆石的年代学研究显示,华夏腹地晚新元古代沉积岩主要由新太古代(～2.5 ga.和Grenville期(0.9～1.1 ga.的碎屑物质组成,其中还包含了一定数量的中元古代和少量中太古代(3.0～3.2 ga.和古太古代(3.76 ga.的碎屑物质.这些发现表明华夏地块存在非常古老的物质.37颗锆石的Hf同位素组成显示这些碎屑物质具有不同的成因,少量结晶于有较多新生地壳组分熔融产生的岩浆,而大多数结晶于古老地壳组分部分熔融产生的岩浆.锆石U-Pb年龄和Hf同位素综合研究指出华夏地块新生地壳物质主要是在2.5～2.6 ga.成,中太古代(3.0～3.3 ga.、古元古代晚期(～1.8 ga.和古太古代(～3.7 ga.也是重要的地壳生长期.中元古代-新元古代的岩浆活动非常强烈,但主要表现为古老物质的再循环,只有很少有新生地壳增生.～2.1 ga.式年龄峰值的存在和同时代锆石的缺失表明许多锆石的古元古代模式年龄很可能是源区中新太古代和古元古代晚期物质混合的结果.

The objective of this work is to analyze the fatigue reliability of complex welded structures composed of multiple web-frame joints, accounting for correlation effects. A three-dimensional finite element model using the 20-node solid elements is generated. A linear elastic finite element analysis was performed, hotspot stresses in a web-frame joint were analyzed and fatigue damage was quantified employing the S-N approach. The statistical descriptors of the fatigue life of a non-correlated web-frame joint containing several critical hotspots were estimated. The fatigue reliability of a web-frame joint wasmodeled as a series system of correlated components using the Ditlevsen bounds. The fatigue reliability of the entire welded structure with multiple web-frame joints, modeled as a parallel system of non-correlated web-frame joints was also calculated.

Biomarkers have been used to diagnose, prognose, evaluate, and identify the severity and outcomes in traumatic brain injury (TBI) patients. This study explored if it is possible to predict the outcome of TBI patients by estimating the biomarkers in cerebrospinal fluid and serum. We searched data bases and literature about biomarkers, and found forty epidemiologic studies from 92 potentially relevant articles. However, limited data are available about postanoxic encephalopathy. It showed that presently, neurofilament, S100B, glial fibrillary acidic protein, and ubiquitin carboxyl terminal hydrolase-L1 seemed to have the best potential as diagnostic biomarkers for distinguishing focal and diffuse injury, whereas C-Tau, neuron-specific enolase, S100B, glial fibrillary acidic protein, and spectrin breakdown products appear to be candidates for reflective biomarkers of TBI. Point-of-care biomarkers are needed in TBI which is one of the most important additional risk factors in road traffic injuries. In a holistic approach, more researches about biomarkers of TBI are required. These biomarkers are very useful for treatment of patients with TBI.

A statistical work has been done to collect the composition ranges of Ni-Mn-ga.alloys exhibiting different structures and martensite start temperature （M,）, large magnetostrain or the co-existence of magnetic and structural transitions. The alloys with five-layered （5M）, seven-layered （7M） modulated and non-modulated （T） martensitic structures were mapped in the graph. An empirical formula has been presented to reflect the effect of elements nickel （Ni ）, manga.ese （ Mn ） and ga.lium （ga., on the martensite start temperature （M3）. The martensitic structure is sensitive to the composition and the martensitic transformation temperature is most drastically affected by the Ni content. The alloys with large magnetostrain or co-existence effect of the magnetic and structural transitions were also listed in a limited area.

We reported magnetooptical properties of Eu3＋（4f（6）） and Tb3＋（4f（8）） in single crystals of Gd3ga.o12 （GGG）, y3ga.o12 （yGG）, and Eu3＋（4f（6）） in Eu3ga.o12 （EuGG） for both ions occupying sites of D2 symmetry in the ga.net structure. Absorption, luminescence, and magnetic circular polarization of luminescence （MCPL） spectra of Tb3＋ in GGG and yGG and absorption and magnetic circular dichroism （MCD） of Eu3＋ in EuGG were studied. The data were obtained at 85 K and room temperature （RT）. magnetic susceptibility of Eu3＋ in EuGG was also measured between 85 K and RT. The magnetooptical and magnetic susceptibility data were modeled using the wavefunctions of the crystal-field split energy （Stark） levels of Eu3＋ and Tb3＋ occupying D2 sites in the same ga.nets. The results reported ga.e a precise determination of these Stark level assignments and confirmed the symmetry labels （irreducible representations） of the closely-spaced Stark levels （quasi-doublets） found in the 5D1 （Eu3＋） and 5D4 （Tb3＋） multiplets. Ultraviolet （UV） excitation （300 nm） of the 6PJ and 6IJ states of Gd3＋ in the doped GGG crystals led to emission from 5D4 （Tb3＋） and 5D1 and 5D0 （Eu3＋） through radiationless energy transfer to the 4f（n–1）5d band of Tb3＋ and to UV quintet states of Eu3＋. The temperature-dependent emission line shapes and line shifts of the magnetooptical transitions excited by UV radiation suggested a novel way to explore energy transfer mechanisms in this rare-earth doped ga.net system.

对华夏地块南部粤中增城和赣南鹤仔3个基底变质岩的地球化学和碎屑锆石年代学研究表明,它们的原岩都是形成于晚新元古代的沉积岩.3个变质沉积岩都主要由新元古代早期(1.0～0.9ga.的碎屑物质组成,并混有少量中元古代和新元古代中晚期(0.8～0.6ga.的碎屑物,说明沉积物主要来源于一个遭受过Gondwana大陆聚合事件影响的Grenville期造山带.碎屑锆石的Hf同位素成分显示这些Grenville期锆石可能是造山旋回早期形成的弧与古老大陆碰撞产生的岩浆结晶的.结合华夏地块其他地区～1.0ga.龄锆石的分布及形态学特征,本文认为华夏地块的南缘很可能曾经存在或者极其靠近一个Grenville期的造山带.而这期造山作用的时代与东印度以及东南极的Grenville造山带一致,且同样受到Gondwana大陆聚合事件的影响.因此,从Rodinia超大陆裂解到Gondwana超大陆聚合期间,华南地块很可能位于澳大利亚西部而与东印度和东南极相邻.
