Graphene’s unparalleled strength,chemical stability,ultimate surface-to-volume ratio and excellent electronic properties make it an ideal candidate as a material for membranes in micro-and nanoelectromechanical systems(MEMS and NEMS).However,the integration of graphene into MEMS or NEMS devices and suspended structures such as proof masses on graphene membranes raises several technological challenges,including collapse and rupture of the *** have developed a robust route for realizing membranes made of double-layer cVD graphene and suspending large silicon proof masses on membranes with high *** have demonstrated the manufacture of square graphene membranes with side lengths from 7µm to 110µm,and suspended proof masses consisting of solid silicon cubes that are from 5µm×5µm×16.4µm to 100µm×100µm×16.4µm in *** approach is compatible with wafer-scale MEMS and semiconductor manufacturing technologies,and the manufacturing yields of the graphene membranes with suspended proof masses were>90%,with>70%of the graphene membranes having>90%graphene area without visible *** measured resonance frequencies of the realized structures ranged from tens to hundreds of kHz,with quality factors ranging from 63 to *** graphene membranes with suspended proof masses were extremely robust,and were able to withstand indentation forces from an atomic force microscope(AFM)tip of up to~*** proposed approach for the reliable and large-scale manufacture of graphene membranes with suspended proof masses will enable the development and study of innovative NEMS devices with new functionalities and improved performances.

Two homologous plastocyanin isoforms are encoded by the genes PETE1 and PETE2 in the nuclear genome of Arabidopsis thaliana. The PETE2 transcript is expressed at considerably higher levels and the PETE2 protein is the more abundant isoform. Null mutations in the PETE genes resulted in plants, designated pete1 and pete2, with decreased plastocyanin contents. However, despite reducing plastocyanin levels by over -90%, a pete2 null mutation on its own affects rates of photosynthesis and growth only slightly, whereas pete1 knockout plants, with about 60-80% of the wild-type plastocyanin level, did not show any alteration. Hence, plastocyanin concentration is not limiting for photosynthetic elec- tron flow under optimal growth conditions, perhaps implying other possible physiological roles for the protein. Indeed, plastocyanin has been proposed previously to cooperate with cytochrome c6A （cyt c6A） in thylakoid redox reactions, but we find no evidence for a physical interaction between the two proteins, using interaction assays in yeast. We observed homodimerization of cyt c6A in yeast interaction assays, but also cyt c6A homodimers failed to interact with plastocyanin. Moreover, phenotypic analysis of atc6-1 pete1 and atc6-1 pete2 double mutants, each lacking cyt c6A and one of the two piastocyanin-encoding genes, failed to reveal any genetic interaction. Overexpression of either PETE1 or PETE2 in the pete1 pete2 double knockout mutant background results in essentially wild-type photosynthetic performance, excluding the possibility that the two plastocyanin isoforms could have distinct functions in thylakoid electron flow.

Influence of cO2/HcO3- on microbial communities in two karst caves with high cO2

There is limited knowledge about microbial communities and their ecological functions in karst caves with high cO2 concentrations. Here， we studied the microbial community compositions and functions in Shuiming cave (“SMc”， cO2 concentration 3303 ppm) and Xueyu cave (“XYc”， cO2 concentration 8753 ppm) using Illumina MiSeq high-throughput sequencing in combination with BIOLOG test. The results showed that Proteobacteria， Actinobacteria and Bacteroidetes were dominant phyla in these two caves， and Thaumarchaeota was the most abundant in the rock wall samples of SMc. The microbial diversity in the water samples decreased with increasing HcO3- concentration， and it was higher in XYc than that in SMc. The microbial community structures in the sediment and rock wall samples were quite different between the two caves. High concentrations of cO2 can reduce the microbial diversity on the rock walls in karst caves， probably through changing microbial preference for different types of carbon sources and decreasing the microbial utilization rate of carbon sources. These results expanded our understanding of microbial community and its response to environments in karst caves with high cO2.

Impact of Land Use and Soil Fertility on Distributions of Soil Aggregate Fractions and Some Nutrients

The size distribution of water-stable aggregates and the variability of organic c,N and P contents over aggregate size fractions were studied for orchard,upland,paddy,and grassland soils with high,medium,and low fertility *** results showed that > 5 mm aggregates in the cultivated upland and paddy soils were 44.0% and 32.0%,respectively,less than those in the un-tilled orchard *** c and soil N in different size aggregate fractions in orchard soil with high fertility were significantly higher than those of other land ***,the contents of soil P in different size aggregates were significantly greater in the paddy soil as compared to the other land *** organic c,N and P contents were higher in larger aggregates than those in smaller *** amount of water-stable aggregates was positively correlated to their contribution to soil organic c,N and *** orchard and grassland soils,the > 5 mm aggregates made the greatest contribution to soil nutrients,while for upland soil,the 0.25-0.053 mm aggregates contributed the most to soil ***,the land use with minimum disturbance was beneficial for the formation of a better soil *** dominant soil aggregates in different land use types determined the distribution of soil *** efficiency of soil P could be improved by converting other land uses to the paddy soil.

The upgrade of the MAX-lab injector and the construction of MAX Ⅲ, provided the opportunity for upgrading the tagged-photon facility and thus lead to the possibility of more extensive program in nuclear physics research. This upgrade increased the injected electron energy to an eventual maximum of 250 MeV and allows for the extraction of electrons from the MAX Ⅰ ring operated in the stretcher mode. The first stretched beam was delivered in September 2005. The tagged-photon facility was commissioned in parallel with the commissioning of new experimental equipment. The PAc approved experimental program is current in progress, including measurements of pion photoproduction below the △（1232）. The efforts at the tagged photon-facility are pursued within an international collaboration with around fifty members.

合成了一系列含磁性反离子的非对称双疏水链长的阳离子表面活性剂,其中三氯一溴铁合十六烷基戊基二甲基铵(c_(16)c_5DMA^+[Fecl_3Br]-~)与偶氮羧酸钠盐(AzoNa_4)在酸性条件水溶液中形成磁性囊泡凝胶。运用cryo-透射电镜(TEM)、冷冻蚀刻TEM(FF-TEM)、流变仪、傅里叶变换红外光谱(FT-IR)和超导量子干涉(SQUID)等表征技术对囊泡凝胶进行了结构和性质研究,结果发现:凝胶含有曲率多变的融合性的双层囊泡,这些双分子层结构模构了自然界中各种物象的结构轮廓,展现了不可预测的多变曲率和良好柔性。聚集体双分子层膜内由长短不对称烷基链采取交错相扣的双分子层排列模式,这种构建模式结构稳定,短烷基链可游离出囊泡双分子层并伸向外部水相介质。两个相邻囊泡间的短链在疏水相互作用下形成非共价的囊泡"补丁",疏水的囊泡"补丁"克服相邻囊泡之间的斥力而融合。磁性反离子[Fecl_3Br]^-不仅赋予囊泡磁性,且在囊泡的形成过程中调控烷基链的组装。这种多形态融合性囊泡为揭示膜曲率的调节机制和构建人工细胞提供实验数据和理论参考。

The influence of cryorolling(cR),room temperature rolling(RTR)and post annealing on precipitation,microstructuralevolution(recovery,recrystallisation and grain growth),mechanical and corrosion behavior,was investigated in the present *** precipitation kinetics and microstructural morphology of cR,RTR,and post annealed samples were investigated by differentialscanning calorimetry(DSc),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),and electron back scattered diffraction(EBSD)to elucidatethe observed mechanical *** annealing at200°c,UTS and hardness of cR samples(345MPa and HV127)wereimproved as compared to RTR samples(320MPa and HV115).The increase in hardness and UTS of cR samples after annealing at200°c was due to precipitation ofβ''from Al matrix,which imparted higher Zener drag effect as compared to RTR *** in corrosion and pitting potentials was observed for cR samples(?1.321V and?700mV)as compared to RTRsamples(?1.335V and?710mV).In cR samples,heavy dislocation density and dissolution of Mg4Al3Si4-precipitates in the Almatrix have improved corrosion resistance of the alloy through formation of protective passive layer and suppression of galvanic cell,respectively.

Thyme oil inclusion levels in a rabbit ration: Evaluation of productive performance, carcass criteria and meat quality under hot environmental conditions

The aim of this study was to determine the impact of thyme essential oil supplementation in rabbit rations on performance, carcass criteria, and meat quality under hot environmental conditions. A total of 75, 4-week-old californian male rabbits were assigned to 5 dietary treatments until 12 weeks of *** rabbits were reared in an open house system(38c average ambient temperature and 26% to 35%relative humidity). Treatments were as follows: unsupplemented standard ration, negative control(cON); standard ration supplemented with 1.50 g/kg olive oil as carrier, positive control(POS);POS t 50 mg/kg thyme oil(TO1); POS t 100 mg/kg thyme oil(TO2); and POS t 150 mg/kg thyme oil(TO3). Dietary thyme oil up to 150 mg/kg improved(P ce in comparison to cON. The highest average daily gain and most efficient feed conversion ratio(linear,P c, P corporation of thyme oil improved(P carcass criteria and decreased(P capular fat without any side effects on internal organs. Notably, the water holding capacity of rabbit meat was greater(P compared with cON. Differences were also recorded in oxymyoglobin and metmyoglobin contents in rabbit meat among treatments. In conclusion, thyme oil of a specified composition and to be added to a rabbit ration up to 100 mg/kg using 1.50 g/kg olive oil as a carrier can be used as an efficient feed additive for improving productive performance of rabbits under hot environmental conditions.
