Background: Spinal dysraphism re.re.e.ts a wide.spe.trum of conge.ital abnormalitie. of the.spine. Mye.ome.ingoce.e.is conside.e. the.most common malformation and the.most common we.saw in our community, with its morbidity proble.s se.n commonly in the.postope.ative.pe.iod. ASQ-3TM Score. are.the.age. and stage. que.tionnaire. third e.ition, and re.re.e.t a tool to asse.s the.de.e.opme.t progre.s, e.pe.ially in toddle.s. Obje.tive.: e.aluation of ne.rode.e.opme.tal outcome.among Sudane.e.toddle.s with spinal dysraphism afte. surgical closure.with or without a VP shunt using ASQ-3TM Score.. Me.hodology: This is a re.rospe.tive.hospital-base. study of 84 patie.ts who unde.we.t mye.ome.ingoce.e.re.air at the.National Ce.te. for Ne.rological Scie.ce. (NCNS) during the.pe.iod from 2017 up to 2019. Data we.e.colle.te. through a constructe. que.tionnaire. including ASQ-3TM Score.. Data we.e.proce.se. and analyze. using the.Statistical Package.for Social Scie.ce.(SPSS) compute. program. Ve.sion 25. Re.ults: 84 patie.ts we.e.include. in this study;all patie.ts we.e.diagnose. with spinal dysraphism. Out of the., 51 (60.7%) we.e.2 ye.rs old, 33 (39.3%) we.e.3 ye.rs old, 45 (53.6%) we.e.male. 45 (53.6%) of patie.ts mothe.s atte.de. ANC irre.ularly, and 54 (64.3%) the.r mothe.s didn’t re.e.ve.folate.supple.e.ts. 44 (52.3%) of patie.ts unde.we.t MMC re.air only, while.40 (47.7%) unde.we.t MMC re.air and VP shunt. The.commone.t postope.ative.complication was infe.tion, re.orte. in 12 (14.3%) of patie.ts, followe. by VP shunt re.ision in 9 (10.7%) of patie.ts. Ne.rological asse.sme.t showe. that the.majority of patie.ts ne.d furthe. asse.sme.t with a profe.sional, 57 (67.9%) of childre. don’t walk, run, or climb like.othe. toddle.s as the.r pare.t’s state.also, half of patie.ts (42, 50%) had me.ical proble.s, and 27 (32.1%) of the.r pare.t’s state.that the. do not talk like.othe. toddle.s the.r age.
